Templars Are BACK

"For thousands of years, I think, maybe this title has been forgotten by assassins.

Without our checks and balances, you have destroyed the order and created a set of dark laws.

However, when darkness covers the earth, the Templars will guard the last light and protect the last order for the earth. In the end, let the light cover the earth again.

We have failed before, but this time, we will never lose again.

Tell all killers, assassins, Sloan, tell them, whether it is a killer who has completely abandoned the creed or the assassin who is still determined to be guided by the so-called 'fate.'

Templars, are back." Jack declared confidently.

Before Sloan, who was shocked to the point of slipping his words, could react, Jack cut off the phone with a chuckle.

"Huh..." Jack breathed out, feeling his face flush with excitement. "Not bad, not bad. This time it seems to be okay. The lines are so awesome. What can I say? I am a creative genius!"

...

"It's finally settled..." Jack looked around, and after making sure that no one was left alive, he dodged, opened the office door again, and left the same way.

Jack didn't have an ID from this company. Still, with his physical fitness and entry-level stealth skills, he could come and go without a trace in this pharmaceutical company that wasn't strictly guarded. He felt like a ninja.

"How could a majestic Templar, the sworn enemy of the Assassins, not be able to sneak? How can this be unreasonable!" Jack thought to himself as he made his way out.

"Speaking of which, the Continental Hotel...the high table was split from the Assassin Brotherhood?" Jack pondered the thought. "Now, it's even more interesting..." he said with a smirk.

On the other side

"Templar..." Sloan's face was serious.

As the leader of the Brotherhood, Sloan naturally knew of the existence of the Templars. However, according to the records in the classics, the Templars were completely defeated and wiped out by the Brotherhood of Assassins many years ago!

Could it be that the Templar Knights have not been wiped out for so many years but have lingered on and gradually developed? Until now, they feel they have the strength to fight, so they come to the door?

As Sloan sat at his desk, his mind was troubled by the weight of the situation. He knew he had stumbled upon something big that could shake the foundations of the Assassin Brotherhood.

But as he subconsciously reached for the phone to dial the number of the high Table's top leader, he hesitated.

"No, I can't just jump to conclusions like this. I need to investigate and confirm what's happening before I make any moves."

Sloan was well aware of the power dynamics within the Brotherhood. Despite his status almost equal to the "elder" at the High Table, he knew their strength and influence vastly differed.

The Brotherhood had taken over all of the Templars' assets after their defeat, and with it came differences in opinion among the members. Some still held onto their beliefs, while others were tempted by the lure of money and power.

It was a common struggle, one that was seen in many aspects of life. People may have strong beliefs, but when faced with the temptation of wealth and success, those beliefs could easily be swayed.

The Brotherhood had slowly divided into two factions, but they knew that they couldn't afford to engage in another war. Doing so would only lead to more chaos and benefit no one.

As a result, the Brotherhood had evolved and separated into an organization known as the High Table, an entity that was above everything else, and the current Brotherhood of Assasins.

But while the High Table thrived as a pure killer organization, the Brotherhood of Assasins grew weaker and weaker, forsaking their beliefs for the lure of money and status.

Sloan's forgery of the order of the loom was a reflection of this reality. He did it for the money and status it would bring, but he knew it would only weaken the Brotherhood further.

With a heavy heart, Sloan decided to investigate further before taking any drastic action. He reached for his phonebook and found Fox's number, determined to get to the bottom of things.

....

Fox's phone rang urgently, causing her to hesitate before answering. She knew that she might not like the conversation that followed once she picked up the phone.

"Sloan?" Fox answered with a hint of uncertainty in her voice.

"Yeah, it's me, Fox," Sloan replied, sounding less than pleased. "Is there a problem with last night's mission?"

Fox took a deep breath, preparing herself for what was to come. "Yes," she said, her voice tinged with disappointment.

"What happened? How did our target slip through your fingers?" Sloan asked, a hint of frustration creeping into his voice.

"Someone got in my way," Fox said.

"Who?" Sloan demanded to know.

"A Templar," Fox replied, causing Sloan to audibly gasp.

"What did he tell you?" Sloan asked, his tone tense.

"He told me everything. Everything about the Brotherhood and the Knights Templar," Fox said, her voice heavy with the weight of the revelation.

Sloan's silence spoke volumes, and Fox pressed on. "So, is it true? Everything he said?"

"We follow the guidance of fate," Sloan said, sounding almost robotic. "There is no right or wrong, only faith."

"That's not what I asked," Fox retorted sharply. "Is it true?"

Sloan was silent momentarily before finally saying, "We follow the guidance of fate. That's all I can say."

Fox clenched her jaw. "That's not good enough, Sloan. I'm coming back to the Brotherhood, and we need to talk about this face-to-face. But let me make one thing clear. If you're betraying fate, then I'll correct your mistakes. I'll send you to meet fate myself."

There was a long pause before Sloan finally spoke. "I understand," he said, his voice low and grave. "We'll talk when you get back."
