Excellent chapter, it was fun to see Hector's interaction with Whitebeard, with the old man questioning Hector's resemblance to Roger, since Hector is basically and almost a reincarnation of Roger after assimilation, I also really liked Saeko and Mihawk's combat , showing that our beautiful swordswoman is already extremely strong (having assimilated Miyamoto Musashi and Muichiro Tokito, she couldn't possibly be weak). Anyway, it was a great chapter, and I'm already looking forward to the next one.
you know, I Just realised why I dislike basically every one piece fanfic out here, there's really no way to truly express, in word only, one piece characters. a lot of characterisations in one piece comes from the drawing and expression. because of this, just reading their lines of dialogue just feels bland. this is not a critic of this fic, more like an adaptation problem. I don't know if it's just me also, I feel like you have a hard time portraying OP's characters as well, they're very limited in dialogue in the chapter. like Sengoku not saying anything during his beatdown and Garp not even having a single line. Whitebeard's lines appeared very unnatural as well to be honest. but I think this is a problem that all OP fic encounters. I've yet to read even a single OP fic without cringing at some of the dialogue with the original character (and yet I've got great cringe resistance from reading all the mid fanfictions out there). they're each so unique to me that I immediately realise when they say something or act out of character. (the problem might just come from me tho? wonder if there's other people with the same impression)
