No thanks on the little sister front. Way too cliche. Ever notice how 99.99% of fics how it’s never a male sibling OC that’s introduced and how it’s always a female? Misandry is unreal in fanfics.
Why do MCs regularly undercut their own efforts, no matter how extraordinary? In this chapter, he gave valuable information to Orochimaru and Orochimaru thanked him for it and the MC responded with “it’s just a small favor.” You shouldn’t undermine your efforts. I see this a lot in fanfics, especially with Chinese fics. They act all humble about everything. The phrase they use it something like, “Oh senior, you overpraise me!” Sometimes, it’s okay just to accept gratitude or a congratulatory statement. It’s not arrogance to acknowledge and accept one’s own work.
“ A member of the Guardians in comic book lore, Cosmo is depicted as a male dog on the printed page. In The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, however, the live-action incarnation is a female, voiced by Oscar nominee Maria Bakalova.” I’m so sick of genderswaps and raceswaps. It’s getting very old.
He shouldn’t have to ask her out to get her to listen to him. If she won’t listen to professional and personal advice, and deserves what she gets. Also, is there a reason he can’t be more direct? Stop beating around the bush. I hate when people hint at things and talk a lot without saying anything. I don’t blame Jen for not taking it seriously. Just say: “I’ve heard rumors Harvey Weinstein is a serial r@pist. He preys on women in Hollywood. Don’t be alone with him. Ever.” Bam. Ball’s in her court. If she still risks it, that’s on her.
Yeah, but it takes years to acquire these skills. I would do the same thing. He has all the free time in the world to explore techniques and study while he’s at the academy. Why wait until he becomes a genin? He’ll be under close supervision and will have to keep repeating missions and meeting with his team over and over ON TOP of training. It’s better to finish his training now.
The solution to the Uchiha massacre is very simple. According to canon, Hiruzen did not order the genocide. He was still convinced they could come to a peaceful agreement. Which makes sense. He’s all about appeasement: he let Orochimaru escape after killing children, he let Danzo get away with trying to kill the Hokage, and he gave up a Hyuga’s body to the enemy village that kidnapped a 4 year old girl. Solution: When Itachi receives official orders to annihilate the clan from Danzo, go meet with Hiruzen. Confront him and ask him if he ordered the genocide. If he did, ask if you can only kill the guilty people trying to commit a coup. Ask why the civilians, elderly , and even the babies have to die. That’s the drastic solution. A more peaceful attempt would be to stop the Uchiha from being the police, move the clan back to their original territory, use a seal that protects their eyes from being stolen from their body (one of the motivations for their deaths is to acquire their bloodline), then integrate with the village by going on missions just like the Hyuga do. Bonds will strengthen with the village.
You could probably task the house elves to help you organize and sort the room. They’ve been using the room as a lost-and-found. After a long period of time, the stuff that’s lost is free game. They’ve likely not been instructed on how to handle all these objects and if you tell them you’re helping to make Hogwarts cleaner, they’ll likely help you.
That was a really smooth way of handling Lana and the kryptonite. If anything, he could go even further and state that he speculates it’s a radioactive meteorite and it may induce mutations in people. She just saw Bug Boy. What does she think might happen to her after years of exposure?
It’s very dumb to say you “have an African American father and an American mother.” “American” is not an ethnicity. It’s a nationality. Why bother describing the ethnic origins of the father and not the mother? Are you trying to say the mother is white? Because at this point America is only 56% white, so calling someone “American” means literally nothing nowadays when it comes to race. Since Biden has been in office, around 10 million black and brown people have invaded America, so that 56% white will definitely go down.
The MC is considering getting a job, when he has access to genius alien transformations? He can hack in and create an identity in 20 seconds, but he can’t figure out how to access money? Or use the 15,000 he has in his bank account to play the stock market? Dumb. And why is he settling for only 10 transformations? Why doesn’t he try to upgrade it?
The only thing that’s bugging me is the change to his age. He’s a freshman in high school during the first season. And he’s 14 years old. The actor the cast was 24 years old playing a 14 year old, so I can’t blame you for being confused. They also didn’t outright say his age very often, if at all. But I’m posting this to help: Season 1: Age 14, turns 15 sometime by end of Freshman Year Season 2: Age 15, Sophomore Season 3: Age 16, Junior Season 4: Age 17, Senior Season 5: Age 18, Freshman in college, he drops out not too long after starting. Chronologically, he just gets one year older every season. There’s no time skips beyond jumping past summer. The big finale is always in May and the show will skip past summer and usually give a recap dragged out over a few episodes. By the end of the series he’s 24 years old being played by a 34 year old.
I think he shouldn’t be concerned with replicating previous actions to become friends with these people again. I don’t consider it manipulation if he’s performing the same actions he did in the past. They were authentic at some point. So there’s nothing wrong with it. Now, if you were gaming it by slightly altering your behavior with each new timeline to find a way to make them think you’re their best friend, that’d be different.
