Really did you even read 20 chapters, since in 20 chapters it explains, shows, and flesh’s out the MC. Though you gotta keep in mind that cultivaters spend like 99.9% of their time cultivating, training, and traveling. Though and other times they just spend their time relaxing and eating, well that’s what I understand so instead of saying he has a mindset of a 100000 year old it’s better to say he has a mindset of a 40-50 year old. Though if you have this kind of mindset I don’t understand how you can read most novels on this website. 🤨

No sir, please reread the first few chapters. The MC explicitly states that he is not one of those detached cultivators. He is a very well traveled and experienced person, who enjoys watching and experiencing new worlds. If he had been a holy son of some sect who hadn't left seclusion for centuries I would not have complained about it.

Thank you for being a kind and considerate human being. This is not the only reason, the plot is generic and the style is nothing to write home about either. If a novel has nothing to stand out but a massive flaw in the introduction and subsequent the rest of the story I feel justified to vote in such a fashion.

Wow you speak about maturity when you have none... Every persons character is different, there are some 70+ gradpas that act like teenagers so why can't there be chill cultivators in a novel? Also nothing said by MC about his character and experiences contradicts each other so his way of acting is totaly normal for me.

90 short years are for normal human who grows old with time. not immortal or cultivators. in fantasy cultivation 90 years is not even 9years for them. Thats how are Chinese novels are written but still i dont understand how MC acts childish? MC likes to experience/explore many kind of worlds in his previous life. So in my opinion if MC is acting like a 17year boy in a 17yrs old current body its very fitting for the story. i dont want a Kid to act like 10000years old GrandPa. MC should act like a kid when he has a Kids body and act like a Adult when he has a Adult body its simple. Otherwise there is no point to MC enjoying different kind of lives in many different worlds. Act according to the situation.

I reread and came to a conclusion it’s probably because cultivators have a strong will and will stay true to whatever they believe in so when visited other worlds he only visited for fun and he was strong enough that whatever problem he faced he could deal with it one way or another (force). So therefore even though he is more mature he probably is not that mature.

these comments reminded me of how low the webnovel readers standards are, and considering this app/site is a branch of a chinese website it doesn't really surprise me by the amount of chinese novels here.

Haven't even tried reading this novel after reading your review. I have the same dislike/pet peeve as you when it comes to novels with adult and old-aged main characters where their maturity doesn't reflect their age. It's too contradictory and pretty aggravating to read. Mainly because the lack of maturity is often used as a tool to force a situation in the novel to become funny - but it isn't funny and feels forced and superficial instead. At least in my opinion. Aside from that, it baffles me to no end that readers can't even comment on a dislike without getting attacked on a personal level. That's just wrong on so many levels. Anyway, here's to disliking immature MCs and different tastes without personal insults!🍻

Did we read different novels? I feel that compared to other cultivation novels, Wang Che is very mature. He is calm and collected without being edgy, he is not very arrogant or shameless, so I dont know where you got the feeling that he immature? Although I have only read until around chapter 70, so maybe he changes?

Believe me, we tried to raise our standards but it's not fun. You only get to have fun with those gold novels and there are only a few of them. Lowering standards allows us enlarge the coverage for novels we can have fun with. But that doesn't mean that we tolerate just about anything. If it becomes repetitive, then it's no longer fun
