I wonder if Ava would be able to make a Red Hulk serum as a modification or enhancement to the Extremis virus. Personally I think that it should be able to persued if Ava is able to find out how to control it. She would basically be a red She-Hulk.

Just though of something. Maybe his chest was glowing when fighting King Shark because of the high pressure resulting from his hardening. This would be akin to how the Earth compresses rock to the point of it heating up and eventually turning into magma.
