39 Ava left John and Helen for a week

<General perspective>

In a bedroom, Helen was sleeping. As she woke up, she saw John standing in front of her, but he appeared younger, with purple eyes. John looked at Helen's shocked face and asked, "Are you shocked by my appearance?" Helen nodded and asked, "But how?" John chuckled and said, "You should see your own face first." Helen got up and went to the bathroom. As she looked at herself in the mirror, she was shocked to see that she looked like she was 25 again.

Helen returned from the bathroom and said, "John, how did this happen?"

John looked at Helen and said, "Ava's serum did this to both of us. But first, how are you feeling?"

Helen smiled and said, "It feels like I am reborn and I think I could lift 100 kg with ease."

John nodded and said, "Let's go. Ava is waiting for us in the hall."

Helen rushed back to the bathroom and said, "Just a minute, I will get freshened up."

After a while, Helen and John arrived in the hall where Ava was waiting for them. Ava looked at them and said, "Now that you're both here, I'll get straight to the point." She took out some documents and handed them to Helen, saying, "Here's your new identity. Your new name is Annie Sergio, a Colombian photographer living in Santa Monica and working as a freelance photographer. It matches your past profession."

Helen took the documents and asked, "But why do I need a new identity?"

Ava replied, "Well, Helen, you've been attacked twice this week. So, it's better for you to live with your new identity until it's over."

Helen asked suspiciously, "What do you mean by 'until it's over'?"

Ava rubbed her head and said, "Nothing... I mean until the attacks are over."

Helen nodded and asked, "What about John? Will he live with me?"

Ava thought for a moment and said, "Not now, as I have a job for him."

Ava looked at them and said, "You can stay here for 1 weeks and get used to your new bodies."

Ava took out two phones and said, "Here are your new phones. These are my creations; they have built-in AI, so it's impossible to hack or trace unless someone has access to the source code of my AI. John, dispose of that old phone; it's the investigator's phone."

Helen and John took the phones. John took out the old phone and crushed it with his bare hands while burning it with 800-degree Celsius heat and threw it in the dustbin. Helen looked at John in shock, while Ava rubbed her forehead and said, "John, please try to avoid using your heat or regeneration power unless it's an emergency, as it might attract unnecessary attention."

John nodded, while Helen thought about the regeneration power that Ava talked about.

Ava opened a hologram and said, "Try not to go outside until you both get used to your new bodies. Helen, your phone has the address of the location where you will live in the future, but before you go there, I want you to change your appearance."

Helen looked at Ava and asked, "Like how?"

Ava pointed at Helen's hair while giving her a dye packet, "Dye it a different color. You look young, so people might not be able to identify you."

Ava looked at John and said, "And for you, John, I think you should stay yourself but make others believe that Helen died in that accident so there won't be any future attacks on Helen."

John nodded as he understood what Ava was trying to imply.

After finishing breakfast, Helen walked towards the room where she slept last night to dye her hair.

Ava and John were seated in the hall. Ava looked at John and said, "Don't try anything behind my back; there is a tracker in your and Helen's body, so don't try to betray me."

John shook his head and said, "I don't have any reason to betray you, and I won't do so until Helen is safe."

Ava nodded and said, "That's great. You and Helen can practice in the gym of the mansion. Just don't do anything that would attract the attention of the neighbors."

Ava got up and walked towards the door with two briefcases. Before leaving, she said, "I'll be back in 1 week. Then we'll drop Helen off at my villa in Santa Monica. After that, we'll start the plan."

After Ava left, John sighed and looked at the phone, which looked like a normal phone, but as he opened it:

[Hello, Mr. Wick. How may I assist you?]

John was taken aback as it was the same voice as Ava's AI. He asked, "Are you Katie?"

[No, sir, I am not. But if you want, I can name myself as Katie.]

John shook his head and said, "No, you don't have to. Let's call you 'Rey'."

[Thanks for the name, sir.]

As John was talking with Rey, Helen approached him. John turned and saw Helen with her new hair color. John got up and said, "You look gorgeous."

Helen smiled and said, "You don't look bad, but you will look better without that beard."

John chuckled and said, "Then I will remove it, but after my mission is over."

Helen nodded and asked with concern, "John, is everything okay?"

John put his hand on Helen's shoulder and said, "Yes, everything's fine."

Helen asked while looking around, "Where is Ava?"

John replied, "She will be back in 1 week."

Helen nodded and said, while kissing John on his lips, "So let's get familiar with our new bodies."

John nodded and lifted Helen, taking her to the bedroom.

Ava got into the car and said, "So, Katie, did anything else happen yesterday apart from Helen's attack while I was away?"

Katie replied, "Not much, miss. Your new account, named Blue, is viral now."

Ava chuckled and asked, "Oh, really?" Ava wasn't that surprised since she knew that songs would go viral because they were famous songs in Ava's past life.

Ava opened the hologram and said, "Let's go straight to the apartment."
