35 Chat with Allmight

With the exercise over, everyone returned to Allmight for their debrief.

"I'm amazed to see all of you advance so well in the past week. You've been away from some of you more than others, and I still see room for improvement."

The man smiled, earning a prideful nod from everyone.

"So I will be starting our sessions today so I won't get in the way of your preparations for the end-of-term tests."

"Who will be the first two Allmgiht?" Yayaorozu raised her hand.

"The two who've shown the most growth, Izuku Midoriya and Eijiro Kirishima! Hahaha!"

Mina nudged Kirishima, mouthing praise, and squeezed his hands. The class nodded in agreement, and most were amazed that Midoriya's bones didn't shatter from a single step. Of course, Bakugo only seethed in silent resentment.

With a thunderous clap, Allmight drew their attention. "All right, now go and enjoy your lunch. As for you two, meet me in the break room afterwards."

As Kirishima and Midoriya left, the latter spoke up, "That was amazing, Kirishima! How did you become so strong!?"

"I got beaten up pretty hard!" He gave a thumbs up.

"What kind of training is that!?" Bakugo barked from ahead of them.

As they made their way to the changing room, they said, "Well, my training was mostly at the bottom of the ocean with Gang Orca beating on me to improve my hardening, which also made me stronger."

The boys froze for a moment, Bakugo included who turned. "You're insane," he said.

"Sounds like some hardcore training," Shouji said through his mask, with Tokoyami nodding in agreement.

Kirishima nodded, adding more of his experience—the pressure of the ocean, how dark and painful it was—but more that he enjoyed it.

'Does Kirishima like pain?' Todoroki hummed, not wanting to expose Kirishima if he did.

Later, when the group split up to have their lunch, Kirishima answered Mina's text about eating with the girls as he and Midoriya would be with Allmight.

In the breakroom, Allmight sat opposite the two; no longer using his quirk, he relaxed as he sat down.

'It's a good thing you're not alone in this, Young Midoriya.' He pondered as the two across him got comfortable.

"You've both been through a lot."

He began, Kirishima thanked him for the condolence, and inquired why he needed to speak to the both of them; of course, he already knew as Allmight went to talk about Midoriya's encounter with Stain.

He further goes into detail about the history of One For All and All For One. And the tale of the two brothers, as well as what happens to those who can't handle forced quirks.

Kirishima stayed quiet, his mind in another place; it was near the end of it all that he spoke up.

"Then doesn't that mean..." he paused intently.

Drawing their attention, "If you passed your quirk to Midoriya, like a torch, then what about yours?"

"W-wait, All Might One For All, are you?"

"You're very perceptive young Kirishima," Allmight sighed in thought, 'and for that, I'm thankful.'

"That's right, granting Miroriya One For All has now put my strength on a timer. I don't know how long it'll last, but I believe by then you, the both of you, will have surpassed me."

Allmight stood, bowing to Midoriya. "I'm sorry if this feels as though I've put much of a burden on you. And I can understand any resentment you might have for me."

"Ah, no! it's alright!" Midoriya paused. "I understand how important this is, and I only hope to your expectations."

Allmight stood up, showing nothing but gratitude towards the two. The rest of the time was spent advising on how to handle AFO from his experience.

For that, though Kirishima kindly stood to leave, he thanked Allmight for his time and went to have lunch with Mina.

"And remember, should any of you fall short on the end-term exams, then you're not participating in the summer break forest lodge but staying in remedial hell."

"Forget that, summer break means barbecues! Open grilled meat!" Kirishima clenched his fists; the school meals were nothing too fancy.

But grilled meat, barbecues, bacon, and so much more. "It's heaven on earth!"

Aizawa debriefed the class. 'Of course, the forest lodge isn't a break or vacation; let's see you keep that energy,' a smirk grew on his face.

"It means open baths!" Mineta was awed, but no one focused on his words.

"Anyway, you'll go through a mock test to find and work on your faults, so let's get on with class," he returned, teaching his students. In the short time he's met, he's come to favour some individuals, mostly because they took the course seriously.

And some, Iida raised his hand, constantly bombarding him with questions, too seriously.

With classes concluded and the days over, Kirishima went to Mei, who had upgraded the gravity chamber.

"Where's gravity in the chamber?"

"Oh yeah, here you go, my new and improved babies!" She said she was pulling out three metal suitcases.

"It took a while, but it's I finished it. You'll take it home after all. So I was able to break it down into these three cases, push the buttons, and they transform into a metal tent, inside where the gravity will increase. That way you can take it with you. Aside from that, it maxes out at 100 times gravity!"

She finished her rambling, kissing the two cases. "But they're heavy to carry!" She rolled them over to Kirishima. "And they're solar powered too."

Kirishima picked them up by the handles, and while yes, they were heavy, he could manage. "Thats some strength you've got! Well, on you go. Now I've got more stuff to work on."

She ushered him out of the room. Leaving with the two cases, he met Mina by the gates and headed home. She asked about the cases, and he gave a simple explanation.

"Training under gravity!? I don't know whether to be scared you're going to do it, or that Mei agreed and made it." She hummed at the thought, "Just be careful."

"I will, and besides, we're going to be working together," Kirishima smiled.

"Eh?"

"I know for a fact you haven't studied once during your internship," he squinted.

"Ah, ehm, of course, I did!" She pouted, "But we should study together anyway, just to make sure you are up to date; I don't want you slacking off your training."

'Cute,' he nodded.

"Fine with me, I was going to say the same thing. And who knows, if you score well on the mock test in the top 10, then we won't have to study at all; maybe we can just chill."

"Nope."

"What?"

"I haven't studied much, so I know I won't be ready for the mock test in time," with a giggle, she poked him on the chest, "but you have."

"So if you do well on the mock test, let's say the top 10," she repeated throwing his words back at him with a coy smile, "then maybe we can "chill" instead of studying so much."

A flame lit under Mina; she kissed Kirishima on the cheek and walked home.

"Wait, what just happened? Hang on, I didn't agree to this!"

"If you don't, then we'll just be studying!" She answered back.

He wanted to "chill" but wanted to motivate her to work harder. And now those plans have failed.

"Hang on," he hummed, "what if I score well and refuse to "chill"? That'll work."

With a plan in mind, getting home, he headed to the backyard and dropped the cases, turning them on. Soon enough, like Mei described, a rectangular room formed, the walls covered by grey plastic.

Going inside, he greeted his parents, put on his training gear, and stepped inside to do some stretches.

'All right, let's break this body!'

Turning it on, he immediately went to times ten. He kneeled with a thud. But with the strengthening of his quirk, he rose back up, the force acting on him greater than that of the ocean.

He punched the air, his movements were sluggishly slow, a kick later, and his muscles were slowly burning. "This is great."

And so he begins with his light exercises; his body was already suffering by the hour mark, and just then he upped the gravity another fivefold.

With hardening at full throttle, his morphed rocklike texture replaced fleshy skin, his movements cracked, and his rock-like muscles screeched as he continued to train under this pressure.

He wasn't insane; he took breaks, of course, and in those, his mother came out to hand him some drinks.

'What method of training is this? Oh dear, I'm worried you're picking up bad habits from hurting yourself like this, and why are you smiling the entire time? Are you liking this so much?' She thought behind a motherly smile.

With heavy breaths, he said, 'I think 15 right now is my limit, but that's good; it means I can get much stronger if I can reach a hundred.'

But for more reasons beyond Kirishima, it was good because, right as he got back in with renewed vigour, even if he couldn't realise the minuscule change, his body adapted to the gravity ever so slightly.
