He held himself accountable for the things that other people did/said to him, it's a kind of self hate that people put inside you and unfortunately those people are your so called family. Parents don't even realize it but they do so much damage.

That's....messed up... I can see him blaming himself for the things he didn't do ....and it's all his parents fault...when a kid is criticized for unnecessary things which isn't his fault really make that kid question every single thing he does when he grow up and when he needs someone to blame he can't help but blame himself and that's messed up
