No thank you catching it. I am not perfect.
Author here! So first thank you for reading my story it is a story I've wanted to write for a long time. The story isn't a power fantasy so don't expect insane power creep while characters will become more powerful. I want to keep away from insane god-like abilities. Doing as little as recommending this to a friend or adding to reading list helps a lot, but the most you can do is vote or review. The story will have romance, action, political intrigue, and magic. More will be revealed as we continue on this journey in the wildlands continent.
I would have given this a bit higher of rating, but Stability of Updates knocked it down a peg or two. This story is solid. REALLY solid. It is a shame the author has not added more chapters. I recommend you go back through add some more details to first chapters and plow ahead. Keep up the good work.
World background is difficult rate since I'm only 3 chapters in. Overall I like the direction of the story. I'm more of a slow burn romance kind of person, but we will see where the author takes us. I do enjoy a good romance when done right. They can get cliche fast and if you dislike one of the mains it is doomed to fail. So far I like the characters.
The writing itself is top notch. Most of the rest is a bit early to tell, but I can say one thing. The writing is solid. My only real gripe is that the spacing in the chapter itself is a bit odd. I would just go through and put some spaces between paragraphs for ease of reading. Otherwise a fantastic start.
REVIEW Narration: It is well thought out, but at times a bit wordy. I would cut down on a few spots. Though not tooooo much as all of it is solid stuff just a bit much to absorb early on when staring at a screen. Worldbuilding: It is solid stuff you cannot complain about it as I said above the detail in which they describe things is next level. Character development: A bit early to tell, but the character seems believable Story: A bit early, but the foundation is there for a excellent story.
This is excellent. Normally with Wuxia their is a constant struggle of power creep and having real stakes. This so far seems to be doing really well in establishing the world an character in such a way that you want to know more about them. I hope they steer clear from too many eastern fantasy tropes. Keep up the good work and I look forward to reading more.
So here is my review after 5 chapters. Will update once I get further in. Writing Quality: Good. Their are no glaring issues and it really gets the job done. SoU: Consistent and on point. Story Development: I can only tell you I like what I have read so far and that is good enough for me to give a 5 star as nothing in particular bothers me about it thus far. Though I hope power creep is kept in check. Character Design: Adequate. I'm not far enough in to give a good or bad opinion so I will default to 5 on this one. World: The world really draws me in. I find it very appealing to read about and want to know more. This is about as much as you can ask for in any webnovel.
(will adjust score as I continue to read and I will continue) Normally I find prologues not useful and tedious as many authors do not know what the actual purpose of a prologue is if you are going to have one at all. This author 100% knows what the purpose is for. The story is quick and pulls you in immediately. Their is a decent stock of chapters and I had to click the next chapter immediately. My only hesitation would be that some people will not like the setting, but I would urge you to move past that and dive into this story. Sierra has a great backstory already.
That has been a common complaint. I am refocusing on this in recent chapters.
