Great novel, almost too good even given that this novel is free to read. Everything from the overall plot progression, the fights, to the characters and their interactions. Every single character feels alive, none fading out of existence as they each have a role to play. Not to mention the character growth/development of the MC is beautifully done. That aside, this novel does have a downside, that being its updating stability. I’m lucky to have found it now that it’s already so far into the story, but from many comments it seems as though there were long periods of time without updates. Even as I binged these 400+ chapters, there hasn’t been a single update in what seems like over a week. Life happens though so can’t blame the author at all, this being something that they aren’t getting paid for as well. Anyhow, would without a doubt recommend reading this novel. Hands down one of the best I’ve read on this app, with me again mentioning that it’s FREE. Do give it a read.
Like the novel so far, not much to go based off of as of yet though. MC is OP to the degree that hardly anything can threaten him, right from the very beginning of the novel. If there’s a demerit I can point out, it’d have to be his passive attitude at times. Of course, given if he’s provoked enough he’ll most definitely be cruel and kill those necessary; it’s the amount of provocation he faces at times without doing anything at all just unnecessarily prolongs conflict and leads to things being dragged on. Going to put this on hold for a while, but it’s worth a read.
Novel isn’t bad, but it’s a tad bit underwhelming. Kind of expected more when reading the author’s note in the synopsis. While the MC is indeed stronger than everyone in his world by a large margin, the situations surrounding him are quite frankly annoying. Not to mention the fact they’re left to stew for far too long and aren’t taken care of for no logical reason. That leads me to the novel’s progression, it’s entirely too slow, or rather inconsistent. Oftentimes an event that can be explained in a single chapter, is extended by several. I get the need to give readers a better idea of what they’re reading, but that’s no reason to spoon feed us everything like we’re slow of comprehension. There’s also the flip-flopping of past/present and flashbacks anidst events. Unnecessarily prolongs things and disrupts the flow of reading. Moving on, the MC, his interactions with others, the romance. I actually like the MC’s personality for the most part as he isn’t a pushover and is cruel to a satisfying degree. If anyone crosses him, he’ll give them hell(for the most part). He’s smart, snarky and just overall an enjoyable character to read about. My problem with him though in this regard stems from the romance. Honestly, when the story began I felt things were moving a bit too fast as within 10 chapters he was already moving in on two women. But after several dozen chapters, no further progress is made. It’s not until recent chapters that he has finally made a move after their feelings have long been made clear and a substantial amount of time passing. It was long overdue and at that point I felt no satisfaction from it finally happening. Anyhow, while I had several criticisms, I’d still recommend giving this a chance as it has its merits and I can see myself continuing to read this on occasion.
Story is decent, but feels like things are headed absolutely nowhere. I for one am not a fan of MC’s who’re children, it being 100 chapters thus far and he remaining as such puts a damper on things. The plot’s progression is also slow with every event/interaction taking twice as many chapters than necessary with forceful cliffhangers as well which doesn’t help. There’s then the MC who while OP is quite limited in what he can do and is under the thumb of others without being able to do much at all and having to be fearful/cautious, don’t know why he’s described as a god on his character page when that couldn’t be any further from the truth. Not to mention, I can already see an academy arc coming in the not too distant future from his conversation with another character, so if I feel that the plot is hardly progressing as of now, it’ll only get worse later on. I honestly see no merit in reading this any further. I’d only recommend this to those who’ve had little experience in reading other novels of similar nature.
