An incredible story that uses interesting cultivation techniques and interpersonal connections. The author knows what he's doing and has really thought this stuff through. I got so much more than I was expecting and I love it. I am over a hundred chapter in and recommend pushing to get to these chapters. The rest are great too, but without realizing, he was really just setting up pieces for the game to begin.
I will be frank, I like novels with protagonists that are smart but not inhumanly so. The MC seems normal who sometime making mistakes , although I don't like the fact that he thinks with his d*ck around girls but it is a dual cultivation novel, so you know what you signed up for. I also don't like the fact that the system would straight up kill him off, if he didn't complete his missions but when you are iseaked to somewhere you shouldn't be looking for kind gods to give you wishes either but mostly ROB to do something for their own benefits. In this case their entertainment. This novel might not be everyone especially with him having a system that will kill him, so that failure is not an option but I believe this is pretty realistic, I mean why would a god give a f*ck about you. Anyway this novels seems like one where the MC has to work towards his goals and not get everything handed to him. The only criticism I have is thatMC is an old Man with a lot of experience, so please stop him from thinking with his d*ck like a hor*y teenager.
This story, is great at the start. It is great, the mind of an ex-fighter in a new body with powers. After some time though this is lost in favor of thinking with his lower brain. then things get odd and never recapture what it had at the start. the system is fun and the concept behind it is interesting, the MC starts out interesting as well. His starting LIs though, are kinda meh and get sidelined often. On top of blending together, this is one of the aspects that gets better as the story goes on. Life is given to these first LIs, though this also marks when the story goes Multiple POV heavily. This is a great concept if you want crazy with pleny of wish fullfilment and I hope the author takes what was learned in this story into the next one. this might make for a good revisit after the new story is done and prefect it.
I almost feel like the summary of the story is intentionally misleading. The MC is formerly a 60-year-old, but continually acts without common sense many times, especially after supposedly reading many wuxia novels and being aware of tropes. It also feels like the author loves to treat the MC as badly as possible, and will try and make up any excuse to do so. The MC asks for directions, and others attack and try to rob him. He goes to a bar and SURPRISE! That bar just so happened to be set up to attack and rob people. He goes to a brothel as an honored guest of a powerful person, and is actually treated WORSE than normal customers. Aside from being drugged, he nearly freezes to death, is forcefully stripped, and interrogated. Talk about the royal treatment.
Over 600 chapters in and the quality of this work has not gone down Release stability gas decreased slightly (author had covid, However still got 1 chapter every day, even if it was delayed a few hours) The character design is great, the world meshes so many different characters into it it's crazy And world building? Absolute master piece, truly well thought out and intricate But MC has a mental illness, he likes torturing he's readers with a ton of information in one go🤐 I will not add spoilers in this review maybe next review?
I start reading this because of the title and I was excited about it because I like a good villain. I reach the chapter the main character VS the protagonist and I did not care who is going to win, I wasn't interested in MC. there is no common sense in the story. if only author kills the main character
