Chapter 9

The little boy wearing a mask that covered his entire face quickly approached Okino, his kunai held in tightly in his hand as he quickly slit Okino's throat finishing his goal. Okino could only watch with feelings of sadness and unfairness as his blood sputtered from his neck and showered the little boy before darkness enveloped him as he died.

'Shit! the plan has already started to go to shit as Okino's fire Jutsu as well as me smashing him against the wall has already attracted the attention of the people in the building.'

'I'll need to move fast.'

He quickly kept the shinobi's gear in one of the storage seal scrolls he had prepared. He then held his kunai and slowly exited the room through its front door where he was met by a few old shinobi who were already arriving in front of Okino's room.

Yuu didn't even waste any time as he quickly launched multiple pouches filled with anaesthetic powder.

'Lightning release: Scattering shock'

Lightning quickly emerged from this newly formed Jutsus spreading into thick irregular wavy lightning arcs that rampaged across at hall hitting some of the shinobi. Some of them managed to react fast enough to dodge the attack and quickly charged towards Yuu.

Yuu quickly grabbed multiple kunai which he flung towards the incoming old shinobi. The old shinobi dodged his kunai attacks however they were suddenly tossed aside by an explosion. Some suffered severe burns while others had of their limbs blown off. There were two however who died from the attack. An old man and woman.

"ARIMA!!!"

"AYANO!!!"

The surviving old shinobi focused on their two dead comrades filled with grief and anger. Yuu took advantage of their momentary pause and quickly fired another 'lightning release: Scattering shock' which this time struck all of them. For some, it directly shocked them to unconsciousness. For others they simply collapsed on their knees, their bodies shaking from the electric shocks. There were however those who were physically weak who died immediately. One had to remember that some of these people were extremely old, their bodies barely posing Peak Genin level fitness. One of the reasons Yuu had chosen to start with Okino was because he was actually the strongest among the old people in the elder home. The rest possessed low to mid Genin level physiques brought about by old age while there was around only three who possessed high Genin level physique and two who possessed Peak Genin level physique. Among the strong old shinobi, two had already died, one was unconscious while the rest were heavily injured.

At this point more than five minutes had passed and Yuu was already preparing to escape. After all, there would be no point to this whole ordeal if he was caught by the returning Anbu shinobi. Just as he was about to escape, he heard a loud earth shattering roar which was soon accompanied by a massive wave of bloodlust that flooded the entire village causing a lot of people to collapse unconscious. This included most Genin and a few weak Chunin who were near the origin of the bloodlust. Yuu however was on the opposite side of the area far from where the bloodlust originated which enabled him to easily resist the bloodlust. Even the old shinobi in front of him managed to resist however there were one or two who were already severely injured and ended up using the last of their willpower to resist the bloodlust at the cost of them falling unconscious.

Despite having experienced a surging wave of bloodlust and negative emotions, Yuu couldn't help but smile.

'So the nine-tailed fox is out. Good timing' thought Yuu as he glanced at the old shinobi in front of him with murderous intent. He had already known that setting a few dozen explosion tags wouldn't have distracted the entire Village's fighting force and hence he had also planted even more explosion tags in the district where Naruto lived. Unlike the other citizens, he knew that Naruto was the nine-tailed fox's jinchuriki and hence when Naruto left to go to eat ramen, he had planted a few dozen explosion tags in his house and dozens of explosion tags in the surrounding houses which ultimately connected with the ones' in the forest hence when he detonated the ones' in the forest, they had unleashed a chain reaction that later lit the one's in Naruto's district. If they failed to do so, he also had an activation tag that connected to the one's in Naruto's place, so he was quite prepared.

It had taken him quite a long time to place those tags without amassing suspicion and now he was reaping the fruits of his labour.

'It would seem that the damage of the explosion tags was not enough to kill Naruto but enough to make him go berserk.'

'This works out for me as the distraction will give more time to finish off the shinobi here' thought Yuu as he cast a 'Lightning release: Lightning blade' which coated his kunai in a thick layer of destructive lightning chakra. He quickly advanced towards the remaining standing old shinobi who at this point could barely move due to the anaesthetic which made Yuu's job much easier. Yuu wasted no time killing each and every single one of them. When he was done killing the conscious old shinobi, he moved towards the unconscious one's. Soon he had killed all the old shinobi before him. A quick head count as he stored their bodies in a storage scroll revealed 13 dead old shinobi which when added to the one he killed in the room, made it 14 dead shinobi.

Normally Yuu would have quit here however the distraction from the rampaging jinchuriki gave Yuu enough of a leeway to advance towards the other sector of the elder home. The facility was actually a large, long building with different connecting sections each with a mixture of old shinobi and old civilians. Yuu had only attacked one of four sectors as planned however now he had the opportunity to attack the other three sectors. Even now his chakra reserves were rapidly increasing and were currently at low Chunin level while his physique was still at the same level.

Yuu quickly headed towards the nearest sector; his pouches ready to be deployed. He was thankful for the original's Yuu's memories as through them he had learned how to create this anaesthetic that was strong enough to quickly affect even Chunin ninja. Yuu's parents had actually been the ones who used it to weaken the Kumo ninja before they were killed and luckily, they had taught Yuu how to make it as well as how to make the antidote which was how he was able to move freely within the powder.

It was truly incredible as an assassination tool as without it Yuu wouldn't have been able to defeat any of the old shinobi in the elder home as despite their old age, they could exhibit the power of a Chunin which was much higher than his current level. The anaesthetic powder served to weaken and numb their bodies to the level where he could fight and kill them otherwise he wouldn't have dreamed of attacking them with only Peak Genin level strength.
