-X Godrick X-

Leaving the room full of dead gang members, Godrick walked out, covered in blood. Faint whimpering came from some members he had let go, knowing frightened rats would always return to their nests.

Following them slowly, Godrick summoned his halberd before letting the head smash into the ground, dragging it behind him slowly. This created a feeling of dread that came over the survivors, causing them to run or crawl faster.

But it didn't matter. The Juggernaut could smell the fear coming from them, a side effect from when he acquired his left arm.

Slowly dragging his weapon behind him, he came to the first room, filled with the little rats.

One swing of his halberd not only bisected them all at the chest, but also ripped through the walls of the room as well.

Dragging his weapon behind him, he left the room which now had blood pooling from the doorway.

Room after room he slaughtered the inhabitants, until he came to a room full of Men, Women, and Children behind metal bars.

They all cowered from the bars, the men covering who Godrick thought to be their families. He brought his halberd down on the lock, releasing them from their imprisonment before continuing his fear filled march, dragging his halberd behind him.

To his surprise, the families started to follow him, slowly at first, but as he got farther he could hear them ushering each other to keep up.

Godrick was a large enough target that when the gangsters fired their weapons, they rarely missed, and the bullets that did miss would be cut down by his halberd.

Coming to what looked like the end of the road, Godrick turned and motioned for the families that had been following him, to stay put before he walked into another large room.

The room was covered in a lavish red carpet, and had men in suits sitting around tables with cards and chips, while being served drinks by scantily clad women.

A grand staircase was placed in the center of the room, going up to a second floor where five men sat, surrounded by their bodyguards.

'The arrogance of these people' Godrick thought to himself as everyone came to a stop to look at him. One of the five men stood up, and came to the edge of the stairs to look at him in contempt.

With a flick of his wrist, he dismissed the giant man, and turned back around to the men he had been sitting with.

"You must forgive me. It seems that my men have let someone unsavory pass them. I'll have a long talk with them after this." The man said to his friends before turning to his guards.

"Deal with him." He said dismissively.

The guards took their weapons and approached uncaringly.

Many of the men sitting at the tables stayed still, while the women serving them quickly made their way to one of the back rooms, wanting to avoid any involvement.

Grabbing his halberd in both hands, and materializing his armor, Godrick whipped it from right to left, generating a gust of wind strong enough to blow the room apart. Tables and men alike flew from their places, crashing into each other.

As the room calmed down, Godrick saw that two of the five men at the top of the stairs had gotten to their feet unsteadily before slowly making their way to a back exit.

Everyone else was either dead or dying, as splinters of wood from tables or chairs pierced their bodies.

Looking behind him, the Juggernaut motioned for the families to follow him. They tentatively walked into the room and looked around, slowly taking in the sight of what had happened before following the enormous knight up the stairs as he followed the survivors out to the hidden exit.

Godrick stopped before the figures of the three men at the top of the stairs. Two of them were dead already, but a third was still clinging to life, clutching his stomach where a shard of wood had pierced his side.

He was coughing up blood as he looked up into the helmeted eyes of the Juggernaut.

"Help me-" He said before more blood leaked from his lips and an expression of pain covered his face.

A small commotion drew Godricks attention, as a girl no more than fifteen walked from the group of families, and looked down at the man in hatred.

Fear entered the man's eyes as he made a feeble effort to get away from the girl, only for her to follow him. She knelt down next to him and gripped the wooden shard in his stomach, which made him stop and look up at her with pleading eyes.

But there was no mercy from this girl. She viciously ripped the wooden shard from the man before stabbing him in the chest with it.

He made a feeble mewing noise as he looked at his chest, disbelief in his eyes as he looked back up at the girl. She pulled the spike from him once more, and started repeatedly stabbing him in the chest, neck, face, and shoulders. Anywhere she could, she stabbed him as she let out a scream of hate and resentment before she had no more strength to continue, letting the wooden stake fall from her fingers and sitting back.

She hugged her knees to her chest and gently rocked back and forth as she weeped silent, faint shuddering interrupting her periodically.

Godrick looked towards the families, seeing no one come to her side as she wept. He raised his halberd into the air and brought the butt end down, burying it in the ground to stand by itself before kneeling down next to the girl a few years younger than him, causing her to look up at him.

Her face was covered in a mixture of blood and tears.

Taking a part of his tattered shoulder cape, he tore a piece off of the end before gently wiping her face, cleaning what he could. He then gave it to her before holding his hand out, which she took. He lifted her to her feet and made sure she was alright.

To his complete surprise she looked up at him and signed to him to express her thanks.

"Thank you." She signed. His eyes went wide as he signed back to her.

"You're welcome." She also looked up at him in shock before quickly drying her tears.

"You know how to sign?" She signed as well as said, though when she spoke, it came out slightly slurred and incomplete.

"Yes I do. What is your name?" He signed.

"My name is Emi." She responded.

He reached up and took his helmet off and held it beneath one arm as he introduced himself.

"It is a pleasure to meet you, Emi. My name is Godrick. I'll make sure you get out of here, OK?"

She nodded her head at him, gripping the part of his cape that she had been given.

"Where are your parents?" He asked her, to which she started to tear up again before looking down at the body she had butchered.

"I understand." Godrick signed to her, not wanting her to relive what had happened.

He reached out and gripped his halberd, ripping it from the ground before motioning the small crowd to follow him.

The group soon came to a vault door that had been shut, though the bloody trail the two men from earlier showed that the pair had come this way.

Reaching out with his left hand, the metal crumpled under his grip as he pulled the vault door from its fastenings that held it to the wall, and dropped it away from the group that followed him.

The opening revealed a room with gold and silver packed high, though the most striking feature was the man that sat breathing heavily in the opening of another secret door.

Blood pooled around him, and it wasn't hard to imagine what had happened. The first man had carried his friend to the vault, but the moment he had a shot at freedom, he abandoned the man to save himself.

Godrick turned to the girl who had followed him as closely as she safely could, and told her what to do.

"Make sure he lives." He signed, not wanting the man to die. He wanted someone to survive so this era's police could do something with him.

Continuing alone, Godrick walked down the long narrow passageway before coming to another opening, leading into an alleyway between two buildings.

Turning to his right, he saw a car speeding its way towards him down the alleyway, with the Boss from earlier behind the wheel.

The car was almost on him, so Godrick raised his right foot, and stomped down on the front portion of the car.

The force of the stomp lifted the car high enough into the air, that Godrick reached up with both hands, and caught it by the roof. He then slammed it into the asphalt engine first, causing it to explode from the impact.

The flames licked at the Juggernaut, but he did nothing as the man screamed as he was burned alive from the fire, having survived both impacts.

After a moment, the families emerged from the building and scattered to safety. Police sirens could be heard over the roar of the fire, and Godrick knew he had to leave.

"Tell no one of what you saw today. Especially about me." Godrick signed to Emi as she walked to his side, looking at the fire that puffed huge amounts of smoke into the air.

She looked up into his helmeted eyes and nodded her head, before he walked back into the building and disappeared in its darkness.

-X Emi X-

It was so strange to be free again. Her family had been locked in their cages for what felt like a year, though she had lost count of how long they had actually been imprisoned. Her parents had been taken from their cell, and had been dragged away kicking and screaming.

She could do nothing but call for her parents, pleading for their return. But she couldn't lose hope. She still had her younger brother with her, and she had to make sure that he was going to be ok.

That all changed however, when a man came to her cell, and had dragged him away from her. He was fighting with all his strength, only to have the man bash him over the head with his pistol, making her younger brother go limp.

She had no wonders about what happened to the people that these men took, as her father had been returned with stitches across this side before being taken for a final time.

She never saw her brother again, but she did see the man. He came periodically to look at her, debating what he should do with her. She seared his face into her mind, never wanting to forget that it was this man that had broken her family up.

As time went by, she lost all hope of her revenge, until one day, when she heard gunshots, and something heavy dragging along the ground.

Soon, after the gunshots had faded, an enormous man carrying a halberd released them, breaking their prison. The group followed him out of fear and a small kindling of hope that they would be free.

The enormous man continued down the hallway, killing as he went before he came to a large room. He swung his weapon, and to their shock, killed everyone.

Well… Almost everyone.

She walked up the stairs to the second floor, seeing the man who had taken her family from her, and she seethed.

Darkness took over her heart, and she ripped the stake from the man as he pleaded for his life, stabbing him anywhere she could.

She put all her pain, anger, and hatred into each swing, leaving nothing but a butchered corpse.

She tucked her knees into her chest as she wept for her family, finally having taken her revenge.

The enormous man, who had mysteriously materialized a set of armor over his skin, ripped a piece of his tattered cloak that was hanging from his right shoulder, and wiped her face with it.

She looked into the massive helmet, trying to get another look at his face, as it was dark when he saved them.

He helped her to her feet, and she told him thank you through sign language. To her shock, he removed his helmet and signed back to her.

After having a small conversation, the massive Knight or Godrick, which he had introduced himself as, continued to walk, and soon they stood outside, waiting for the police to come.

Godrick asked her to not speak of what had happened regarding him before walking back into the building and disappearing in its depths.

Soon the police came, and with them, questions. She simply shook her head as they spoke to her, and after, determined that she knew nothing.

But then a man in a suit with long brown hair and a long red scarf that hung from his neck approached her.

He knelt down next to the stretcher she had been put on, and looked her over, his eyes lingering on the fabric the Knight had given her.

"Hello," He said in a gentle voice.

"You can call me Waver. What's your name?" He asked. She signed her name, which made him smile.

"I have some questions about what happened here. Could you help me?" He asked, still in his gentle voice.

She nodded slightly, feeling that this man was anything but normal.

He smiled for a moment before looking down at her hand that held the Juggernauts torn cape.

"Can I see that for a moment?" He asked. She reluctantly complied, and he seemed to study it for a moment muttering under his breath.

"Thank you very much." He said, handing it back to her. She grabbed the cloth, and gripped it as if her life depended on it.

"Would you mind coming with me? I have some questions that I want to ask in private." He said, standing up, and taking her to a car.

He helped her in before looking back at the building, feeling the remnant magic in the air that only a servant would leave.

"Interesting." He said, before getting into the car as well.
