Afternoon Tea Part 3

After some spirited conversations about some historical figures I said, "Okay that was insightful but can you guys continue the story I wanna know what happened" Merlin said in response, "Okay so imagine this Camelot conquers Avalon the High Fey Council is in shambles and goes underground and Uther restored the power of the Fey Monarchs and the rest of the Aristocracy, the current Fey Queen Melthusia saw how her power was only maintained through the grace of king Uther because almost the entire population hated the Aristocracy and wanted the High Fey Council back so fearing a return back to the olden days of diminished power she seduced Uther and the result of that seduction was the birth of Morgan"

Morgana continued the story by saying, "My birth was a very taboo subject and would deliver the final nail on the coffin of the Aristocracy and in extension Old Avalon too" Merlin picked up where Morgana left off and said, "This was because while the Aristocracy and the Monarchy could have lasted with the power of Camelot it was not be, because Uther the person who was binding together the continent size Empire called Camelot his control over The Round Table was wanning" after Merlin had stopped to drink some tea, I asked, "How I thought he was a great king beloved by the people and he had just won a war against the Fey with not that many casualties and secured a reliable source of food in times of famine"

Morgana replied to the question I posed by saying "Well yes dear he did solve a continental food crisis and won a war against the Fey with minimal casualties and he was beloved by the Aristocracy, the peasantry and also by the Faith I mean the faith crowned him as the one promised by God but this status quo would shatter with him trying to pass the Camelot Reformation Act or the C.R.A which proposed the separation of the Church from the state and the other it hoped to enact is that the right to vote be extended to all the citizens of the Kingdom of Camelot including the peasantry this pissed off a lot of people" she stopped to sample a delicious looking snack which I also started to snack on

Merlin stated with passion, "King Uther may have been a bit of a womaniser and warmonger but he was a good king the actions he tried to take would have benefitted millions but some of the power hungry nobles and the corrupted clergy whispered in Axel Pendragon's ears and turned him against Uther there were even some records claiming that the new order that is what the traitors called themselves used some sort of dark mind control magic to do after they had their figurehead they gathered resources in secret using the Insurgency which was the former High Fey Council after they struck a deal with them which promised their power back. Years of resource gathering and planning by the new order culminated in what many magical historians call as the corpse ball..."

Merlin's voice seemed to crack a bit at the end. Morgana rubbed Merlin's back and comforted him and he turned a bit more enthusiastic and he said, "Oh sorry, it is just that even after almost 3000 years of life the loss of my parents on that accursed day at the hands of the new order stings" this caused even Vis who was normally antagonistic towards anything that Merlin said to show a bit of sympathy for the man, "It is alright and it is nothing to be sorry about I understand what you had to go through how old were you when you lost your parents? "

He replied saying, "I was about nine years old when my mother and father had to attend the Yule ball due to my fathers position as chief warlock and mother's position of the minister of magic. Morgan was about ten years old and Arthur was about seven years old at the time he was the worst off at least my mother was reborn as the powerful spirit the lady of the lake and Morgan had the Fey memoir ball which is and ancient artefact of the Fey race used to store the memory each individual of the race and Arthur had nothing to remember his parents by"

An awkward silence started to descend on the party and me being highly repulsed by awkwardness said, "That is so sad... so what happened next" Morgana replied saying, "The corpse ball resulted in many sons and daughters of nobles being killed and as stated before Merlin's parents who were the equivalent of magical royals gets killed coupled with king Uther and his wife but somehow Arthur was smuggled to the safety of Hogwarts. After the corpse ball many things would happen..."
