Poor Arthur

The leak from Dylan's mobile phone had dire consequences. He was swiftly removed from the investigation team, deemed "ineffective." In his place, another FBI agent was parachuted in to lead the operation.

Strangely, this turn of events had been part of Dylan's master plan all along. The Safe Company was one of his targets for vengeance.

Elkhorn Security was responsible for manufacturing the safe that Dylan's father, Lionel, had used in his final magic performance. Tragically, the safes produced by this company had quality issues. Even when Lionel's magic act went awry, he had a contingency plan, a magician's secret "backdoor" escape. However, due to the subpar materials and a deformed safe caused by underwater pressure during the act, his lifeline was severed, leading to his tragic demise.

Lionel perished, and the Elkhorn Security shared a significant portion of the blame, which fueled Dylan's desire for retribution. His plan included targeting the company's finances.

The FBI's investigation into the insurance company was intricately linked to this incident. The company had been producing substandard goods while charging exorbitant prices and hiding cash to evade taxes.

This prompted the FBI to believe that Daniel and his crew were after the alleged $500 million stashed away by the company, leading them to send agents to protect it.

However, unbeknownst to the FBI, Daniel and his team had already executed a clever vanishing act.

Using an enormous mirror at a 45-degree angle, they had created an optical illusion, making the safe seem to disappear, similar to a magician's "rabbit in the hat" trick. They had also prepared a fake safe as a decoy.

In a daring move, Merritt had hypnotized a police officer to instruct the staff to remove the decoy safe.

The airborne FBI agent, believing he was finally one step ahead, took the initiative. He intercepted the truck transporting the safe, intending to apprehend Daniel and the others when they attempted to open it.

Except for Dylan, Jack, and Daniel, no one was privy to the fact that the safe's contents were all fake, and not the $500 million in cash. It was merely bait to lure them in.

Meanwhile, Jack, who had faked his own death and escaped, arrived at the factory. Ignoring the still-hypnotized policeman, he shattered the mirror and removed the actual $500 million in cash, using it as a means to frame Arthur.

The original plan was to frame Bradley, but recent events had caused a change in strategy.

.....

"Dylan?" Daniel exclaimed in surprise as he opened the door. "How did you find this place?"

"I brought a few friends," Jack replied, stepping aside to reveal the individuals behind him. "Shall we go inside and talk?"

Daniel was taken aback. "What's going on?"

"I didn't mean to expose you. Otherwise, a squad of officers would be swarming you right now," Jack explained, pointing to Dylan. "Remember those four cards with the Eye symbol that you received? He gave them to you."

Daniel's response was colorful. "What the fuck?"

Jack continued, "And this is Bradley, a full-fledged member of the Eye. To be precise, we're all part of the same group."

Confusion reigned as Daniel asked, "So, why were we the target all along?"

"That's precisely why we're here," Jack clarified.

In no time, Jack and his companions entered the room, meticulously recounting the sequence of events to Daniel and his crew.

At first, Daniel and the others were skeptical, suspecting that Jack, Dylan, and Bradley were simply trying to gain their trust before arresting them. But as Dylan meticulously detailed their plan step by step, the truth began to sink in.

The level of detail in their narrative was convincing. If they had intended to arrest Daniel and the others, they would have done so by now. There was no need for elaborate lies.

"So, you're saying we were never meant to be the actual target?" Daniel inquired after Dylan had finished explaining. "You're not the real member of the Eye, and our mission was a sham all along?"

"It was fake initially, but now it's real," Dylan clarified, unraveling the complex web of deception that had entangled them all.

.....

Hermia revealed a change of plans. She declared, "My father applied to the Eye. Now, all of you, including all of you, are already preliminary members of the Eye and can carry out assessment tasks, and the assessment task we selected is to make Arthur pay the price he deserves."

Jack, ever the tactician, inquired, "In other words, our original plan does not need to be changed?"

Hermia clarified, "Of course there are still some changes that need to be made. For example... my father is no longer among your targets."

Jack proceeded to lay out the improved plan. The essence was simple: change the target, exclude Bradley, and frame Arthur in a grand scheme. They would place the 500 million US dollars in Arthur's name and create a video as part of the final act.

.....

Arthur's bewilderment reached its peak when he discovered stacks of 500 million in cash in his villa. He couldn't help but wonder, "I remember 140 million was stolen from me, but what is this?"

However, the confusion didn't last long as Dylan arrived to apprehend him. With a pair of handcuffs in hand, Dylan informed Arthur, "Sir, you need to cooperate with our investigation because you are suspected of a malicious theft case. There is evidence that Daniel and others have some kind of interest relationship with you."

Arthur, incredulous, retorted, "Are you a fool? Don't you know they are my enemies? They just gave my 140 million to those poor people!"

Dylan remained unfazed and remarked, "It seems that you need to add one more crime of insulting the FBI."

As Arthur protested, he realized something was amiss. "What do you mean? Why are you slandering me?"

Dylan responded with a smirk, "Wait until you enter the interrogation room before you say these things. The amount involved is so huge that even your legal team won't be able to bail you out immediately. It seems you'll stay in the interrogation room for a while!"

Alma, who was still uncertain about the situation, voiced her concerns, "That video is a bit strange. I have watched the video, and everything is a unilateral statement made by Daniel and others. I think it is an obvious frame-up..."

Dylan interrupted her, "I know the video is fake."

Alma seemed to catch on, her expression changing. "You've thought of it too, right?"

Dylan explained, "Although I know it's not the case, what the Four Horsemen have done has a significant impact on society, and now there's no trace of them. If we don't find them quickly, not only will I be punished, but the entire FBI may also face immense pressure."

Dylan further justified their actions, "Furthermore, Arthur is not a good person. Based on the things he has done, he should have been sent to prison a long time ago, but it was all because of his lawyers..."

Alma inquired about Arthur's potential sentence, and Dylan responded, "It depends on how much deposit he has to hand over. In this case alone, the amount involved has reached 500 million. In addition to the previous ones, the new and old accounts will be settled together... It seems he needs to stay in jail for a while."
