Peeping Tom

"I'm not here for Wesley," Jack said, taking a step back. "I'm here for you. It was hard to find you, so I looked for Wesley instead. I knew you would come for me eventually."

Carlos clenched the gun in his hand, his expression wary. "What do you want from me?" he demanded.

"Calm down," Jack said, holding up his hands. "I'm here for a friendly chat. It's not a bad thing that I'm looking for you, so there's no need to point a gun at me."

Carlos remained skeptical. "Are you sure?" he asked, his finger hovering over the trigger.

"The premise of a friendly chat is that both parties are on the same level," Jack replied. "But it seems like I need to show you something first."

As Carlos shifted his gun, Jack couldn't help but feel a thrill of excitement. This was it - the moment he had been waiting for.

"Then you have to be careful," Carlos warned, his finger still poised over the trigger. "My gun is much faster than you think."

"Your words remind me of someone," Jack smiled lightly, his eyes flicking over Carlos as he spoke, "He said the same thing before, but... do you know how he is now?"

Carlos scowled at Jack's words, his hand instinctively reaching for his modified pistol. "I don't need to know," he spat, "He is definitely not as fast as me. So don't try to use the same tricks you have used on him."

Jack simply nodded in response, the corners of his lips twitching in amusement. "Yes, you are right. He is definitely not as fast as you," Jack agreed, "But..."

Before Jack could finish his sentence, he suddenly exerted an incredible amount of force under his feet, causing a small crater to form on the marble floor beneath him. Carlos barely had time to react before Jack had already moved towards him with lightning speed.

Carlos fired his pistol, the bullet glowing a bright yellow color as it whizzed through the air toward Jack. But to Carlos' shock, Jack's movements were too quick for the bullet to hit him. Jack moved with a grace and speed that defied all human capabilities, his body contorting in ways that seemed impossible.

As the bullet slowed down to an unimaginable speed in Jack's vision, he easily sidestepped it, the bullet harmlessly hitting the wall behind him. Jack moved with such fluidity and ease that Carlos could only stare in disbelief, his jaw-dropping open in shock.

But Jack wasn't done yet. With lightning speed, he snatched the pistol from Carlos' hands, his movements too quick for Carlos to react. The bullet fired by Carlos hit the wall where Jack had been standing mere seconds ago, causing a loud bang to reverberate through the room.

Jack turned his back to Carlos, examining the pistol he had just taken with a casual air. "But..." he said lightly, "You are definitely not as fast as me."

Carlos could only stare in awe at Jack's incredible abilities, his mind racing to come up with a plan to defeat him. "Who... are you?" he asked, his voice trembling slightly.

It was the first time Carlos, a Master Assassin, had ever experienced such a strange thing. His Assassin bloodline naturally granted him immense strength and agility, but what he had just witnessed from Jack went beyond anything he had ever seen before.

Jack kicked the marble floor, creating a deep crater. Carlos was impressed but also intimidated. Jack's speed allowed him to dodge bullets with ease, and he could move so quickly that Carlos couldn't even see where he went. Carlos realized that he was no match for Jack and decided to stop fighting.

Jack threw Carlos his modified pistol and commented on its quality. Carlos explained how the bullet was faster, more penetrating, and flew farther. Jack nodded, impressed, but also reminded Carlos that the movie's depiction of bending bullets and ultra-long-distance fixed-point sniping were unrealistic.

Carlos noticed that Jack referred to the Brotherhood of Assassins as "you guys." He asked if Jack wanted to join, but Jack quickly denied it. Instead, he wanted to serve its head by destroying the Brotherhood. Carlos was surprised and asked if Jack was seeking his help.

Jack confirmed that he was looking for Carlos's assistance, as he knew that Carlos was the strongest Assassin in the Brotherhood. Carlos was still dazed and asked if Jack knew who he was. Jack confidently replied, "Of course. You're Cross, the strongest Assassin of the Brotherhood. And, oh yeah, you have a little peeping tom tendency."

Carlos was taken aback. "Stop, stop! Who told you that I have voyeurism? You may be powerful, but don't talk bullshit!"

Jack raised an eyebrow in skepticism. "Really? So you're not a peeping tom?"

"Of course not!" Carlos protested.

"Then why were you outside Wesley's house with a telescope a few days ago?" Jack asked, grinning mischievously.

Carlos was caught off guard. "That's my son! I just care about him deeply!"

Jack waved his hand dismissively. "Sure, sure, I believe you."

Carlos couldn't help but roll his eyes. He knew that he had a reputation for being a bit overprotective of his son, but he was no peeping tom. Nevertheless, he couldn't deny that he was intrigued by Jack's proposal to take down the Brotherhood.

"Let's get down to business. You know about the Templars?" Jack asked as he leaned in, his eyes flickering with excitement.

"The who?" Carlos asked, his eyebrows furrowed in confusion.

Jack was taken aback by Carlos's response. He had expected a more serious reaction, something like, "Ah, the legendary Templar Knights, the mortal enemies of our assassins!"

Instead, he found himself facing a blank look of incomprehension.

After a moment of awkward silence, Carlos cautiously asked, "Are you talking about...the Knights of Christ and Solomon's Temple?"
