One Billion Dollar Mega Fish!

"Bringing in a high-level suspect, no big deal," Jack said nonchalantly. After all, he had done this countless times before.

"The guy I'm after has definitely done something wrong, and you know it."

"That's true," Chris added, intrigued.

"I heard that the CIA has developed some new kind of equipment. Who knows, it might come in handy in negotiations later on."

"Exactly," Jack agreed.

"I'm going after a supervisor who betrayed the CIA and sold out an agent list to the terrorists in exchange for a hefty reward."

Jack checked the time. It was almost 4 AM. He went to the window, lifted the curtain slightly, and peered out, his sharp eyesight allowing him to spot a woman stealthily entering the apartment where Ethan was staying.

"But I need more evidence. I'm headed to the CIA headquarters in Langley later. Does the IRS have any intel on the CIA?" Jack asked.

"Of course," Chris replied, "but you should also know that this supervisor has information on us too."

"Don't worry," Jack assured him.

"I'm on the right track. Just follow the script. If I'm correct, the grey income I will get out of this guy is about a billion dollars. He is a big Fish, Chris. A one billion dollar mega fish."

Chris was taken aback. "Excuse me, did you just say a billion dollars?"

"Yes, that's right," Jack confirmed. "One billion US dollars."

It was 1996, and the dollar was worth a fortune at the time. Even at the present time, one billion dollars is still a lot. So no wonder Chris was shocked after hearing Jack's revelation.

Jack's IRS employee experience value is now 200/1000. He has taken down numerous big-time drug lords in the US and got black money, bonuses, and wages from the IRS department. If this mission goes as planned, he will earn a gray income of one billion US dollars!

The deal between the terrorists and the CIA traitor was worth more than 5 billion dollars. It was not about some simple list with agents' details but a vast amount of secret information and technology the traitor could smuggle from the CIA.

For these things, even 5 billion dollars was a small amount to pay for the terrorist. And the terrorist groups were not your average terrorist but a mix of hidden powers, including those that have existed for thousands of years. So it was an understatement to say that they are swimming in money.

Moreover, the most important thing is that this time, after he makes the deal, he can let the other party go without worries because there is a reliable teammate Ethan who is strong enough to catch that guy without any trouble.

Chris rubbed his chin thoughtfully. "So, what's the plan? Are you going to take over the CIA headquarters?"

"Not exactly," Jack smirked, "I just need a reason to investigate the CIA, a way to get inside their headquarters."

"And you're counting on me to provide that reason?" Chris asked a hint of amusement in his voice.

"Precisely," Jack confirmed, "How about a little vacation in Langley? It'll be a nice change of pace for you."

"Ha! A vacation in the heart of the CIA? I don't think so," Chris chuckled, "But I'll cover your back, Jack. What do you need from me?"

"Just a little distraction, nothing too fancy," Jack explained, "I'll let you know when the time is right. And as for payment..."

"Don't worry about it," Chris cut him off, "Risks come with the territory, and this is one risk I'm willing to take for a friend."

Jack let out a deep sigh of relief. "Thanks, Chris. I knew I could count on you."

"Anytime, Jack," Chris replied, "Just don't get caught, alright?"

"When have I ever let you down?" Jack quipped, and with a laugh, Chris hung up the phone.

Jack leaned back in his chair, taking a moment to savor his victory. He knew the dangers involved in infiltrating the CIA headquarters, but with Chris by his side, he felt confident he could pull it off. And the thought of a list of all the CIA's secret agents in his hands was a tantalizing prospect.

It was going to be a wild ride, but Jack was ready for the challenge.

Of course, this trust between Jack and Chris is built on a foundation of past actions and the good news that Jack brought to Chris.

If a random agent suddenly approached Chris, claiming they were going to sneak into the CIA headquarters to steal the list of agents and asked for Chris' cooperation, do you think Chris would just brush them off?

Not only would he brush them off, but he'd probably fire them on the spot. Trust and support aren't just handed out freely. To earn it, one must first demonstrate their ability and qualifications. And that's exactly what Jack did.

"If that's the case, it's a done deal," Jack thought to himself, "The rest is up to Ethan."

"If everything goes as planned, I'll receive a billion-dollar payout, which will then go towards opening up the next world.

I can jump back and forth between these movie events in chronological order of those significant events. It will make gathering experience points a lot easier," Jack thought with a smile.

Though traveling between worlds comes at a cost, it requires Jack to spend 10 experience points, equivalent to 100k dollars each time. But some benefits come with it, like jumping directly to any time period or node he wants.

Jack recently learned that using these known time nodes could save a lot of time. For instance, he can travel to the Fast and Furious world, and then he can immediately travel back to the required time period in this world.

In doing so, he won't have to wait years for certain events to occur. He wishes he had learned that earlier.

It's like playing multiple games with various time nodes. If Jack was only in one game, he'd only be able to advance slowly as time passes. But suppose he jumps from one game to another. In that case, he can directly get involved in the time node of his choice and participate in significant events.

The only downside is that Jack can't reload his progress, meaning he can't go back in time. He can only move forward in time. But Jack has a plan for that too. If a particular world becomes too dangerous, he'll simply leave and travel to another world, only to return once he's stronger.

"It's like being a time-traveling Robin Hood," Jack chuckled.

He put on his earphones and began to monitor Ethan's movements. The sound of gunshots and shouting filled his ears as Jack imagined the scene in his mind, watching Ethan running through the busy streets, dodging bullets from enemy fire.

With a grin on his face, Jack was ready for another adventure.
