A few days later, Jack revved up his engine and hit the road to the CIA headquarters in Langley like a secret agent on a mission. He felt invincible, driving the sleek new car that his boss, Director Chris, had given him. As he approached the CIA headquarters, he couldn't help but feel excitement and adrenaline.

At the gate, a bald man in a suit, who introduced himself as Walter, the head of the Administration Department of the CIA, approached Jack. Walter seemed nervous, and Jack could tell that the man was trying to delay the conversation.

"Mr. Jack, I think it's not convenient to talk about some things outside. Why don't we go inside first?" Walter suggested.

But Jack was not about to be deterred. He replied confidently, "I'm here to discuss some important things with the CIA."

Walter's face turned pale as he realized the gravity of the situation. Jack could see the man's hands shaking as he spoke.

"The Director of the CIA is not in the headquarters. He is on his way here after receiving the news. I am here to receive you temporarily."

Despite Walter's attempts to delay the conversation, Jack remained unfazed and followed the man into the CIA headquarters. Jack's mission was to stir up trouble, create a distraction, and provide cover for his partner Ethan and his crew while they carried out their operation. He needs to keep Walter and the CIA on edge. So he faked seriousness.

Once inside, Walter tried to steer the conversation away from important topics. He did so because he knew that if things went south, the Director, Mr. Bown, would mercilessly throw him under the bus to save himself.

There had been many black things the CIA had done, and if Jack and the IRS started to investigate them. Then things will turn for the worst. The CIA director was on his way to the headquarters as they spoke. So he tried to stall as much time as possible. So it will be the Director who will have to deal with Jack and the IRS.

Jack was more than willing, as it gave more time for Ethan to complete his mission. And if Walter had asked about the important matter, then Jack would have been more than ready to show him the contents of the CD Chris had given him.

Just as they strolled into the CIA headquarters, a loud fire alarm echoed through the building. But people continued their business as usual, not paying any mind to it.

The fire department arrived at the scene, and three firefighters rushed to the front desk.

"We received the fire alarm from your area 21," the lead firefighter declared. "Has the alarm been triggered here?"

The receptionist checked the computer, and a look of confusion washed over their face. "Yes, we received it too, but we haven't seen any signs of fire."

"I'm going in to check the situation," Ethan announced confidently.

The receptionist shook their head. "I'm sorry, but you can't enter the area without permission."

Ethan raised an eyebrow. "Do you want the entire building to go up in flames?"

Luther, hiding in the trunk of the fire truck, took this opportunity to hack into the alarm system. The alarm started blaring loudly, causing everyone to ignore it.

"These gadgets are really something else," Luther muttered, thinking about the newly developed equipment that Jack had brought over from the IRS.

The receptionist looked back at their computer screen, a look of surprise on their face. "There's an alarm from that floor. Follow me," they declared before leading Ethan and the team into the building.

Their plan was simple yet full of holes. They hacked into the fire station's system, triggered the fire alarm at the CIA headquarters, and replaced the real firefighters on the way, giving them free rein to enter the building. Luther, a skilled technician, hacked into the alarm system, allowing them to get inside.

The plan was exactly as in the movie. But there were a few issues with the plan that Jack had conveniently overlooked.

First, why wouldn't the entire building evacuate when the alarm went off, and how did the firefighters reach the building just seconds after the alarm went off? Were they sitting on the steps of the building and playing cards all day long.

Secondly, why did the receptionist lead them to check the fire herself instead of sending in a proper team with trained agents?

Finally, the ventilation duct - the classic escape route in any action movie - was a joke. It was wide enough for two people to pass through, strong enough to support several adult men, and a mouse was running inside.

And as if that wasn't enough, the CIA had even installed a residential evil-style laser array at the duct exit in the data room for extra safety.

Who in their right mind would make such a big ventilation duct?

Assuming that the CIA headquarters has such a high density of people and needs such a large ventilation duct, whose ventilation duct is just a duct without even a fan? Jack couldn't believe it.

"Is this a ventilation duct that relies on natural ventilation?" Jack thought to himself.

"It's simply outrageous!" he exclaimed, feeling that his intelligence was being insulted.

But then Jack had a different thought. "Anyway, this isn't my team," he said. "Enemy, of course. The more stupid, the better!"

Although the CIA isn't considered an enemy, at the moment, they stand in opposition to Jack's mission.

Jack wished for all members of the CIA to be blind and for his accomplice, Ethan, to easily retrieve the data and make it to the deal. He also hoped to capture the traitor Jim and strike a deal with Ethan.

Although Jack complained inwardly, he kept a neutral expression and turned to Minister Walter.

"Minister Walter, what did you say before?" Jack asked, trying to redirect the conversation.

"Ah, what? Oh!" Walter was caught off guard by Jack's question but quickly regained his composure. "We were talking about... the CIA's reconstruction plan for next year!" he replied.

"Really?" Jack was surprised. "I didn't know about that."

"Well, maybe you haven't heard yet," Walter said, with an air of importance as the Minister of Administration.

"Our CIA is going to carry out a large-scale renovation next year, and we will carry out some renovations on the current old building plans, including the ventilation duct system, which requires a lot of expenditure..."

Walter led Jack towards the reception room, droning on about the renovation plans. But little did he know, he had just escaped a dangerous situation.

When Jack heard about the renovation of the ventilation duct, his first instinct was to dispose of Walter. However, after giving it some thought, he quickly realized that Walter would need more intelligence and information channels to know about Ethan and his plan.

"Coincidence," Jack thought to himself. "This is definitely a coincidence."

He didn't see anything suspicious in Walter's expression, and even if the plan was exposed, Jack wouldn't kill Walter directly. The mission aimed to obtain the data and avoid unnecessary trouble or casualties.

Ethan also spotted Jack, but with his disguise, he couldn't say hello. He followed the receptionist toward floor 21.
