Hail Hydra

"Hey there, Wesley! Welcome to the world of adventure and danger," Jack exclaimed, patting Wesley on the back.

Wesley couldn't help but feel a little overwhelmed by the sudden turn of events. "Uh, thanks, I guess?" he said uncertainly.

Carlos shot a glance at Jack, "Ease up on the boy, Jack. He's new to all of this."

"Ah, my bad. Just trying to inject a little excitement into the situation," Jack grinned sheepishly.

The trio quickly gathered their belongings and left the scene of the shootout. As they walked towards their safe house, Wesley couldn't help but ponder over what he was leaving behind.

"What am I going to do with my old life? A dead-end job, a clingy girlfriend, and a lousy boss. None of it seems worth taking with me," Wesley muttered to himself.

Carlos overheard his son's musings and couldn't help but chuckle, "Son, you're in for a wild ride. Your old life won't seem worth a dime compared to the new one."

Wesley raised an eyebrow, intrigued. "Do tell, Dad. What's in store for me?"

"Well, for starters, you're a member of the Knights Templar now. You've got enemies and allies, secrets and mysteries to unravel. Your life will never be boring again," Carlos said with a glint in his eye.

Wesley couldn't contain his excitement. "This sounds incredible! I'm ready for anything."

Jack chimed in, "Spreading fire, anyone? We've got some Templar business to take care of."

Wesley was taken aback. "Spreading fire? What does that even mean?"

Carlos rolled his eyes at Jack's impromptu performance, "Let's just focus on getting to the safe house first, and we'll fill you in on everything."

As they continued their journey, Wesley couldn't help but feel a sense of exhilaration. He was leaving behind a mundane life and stepping into a world of adventure and intrigue. The possibilities seemed endless, and he was ready to take on whatever challenges lay ahead.

...

"So, are those assassins our enemies?" Wesley asked with curiosity, his energy level spiking up.

Jack glanced at Carlos, whose expression had darkened a bit, and chuckled before turning to Wesley. "Yes, they are," Jack replied. The trio was currently in the car, with Carlos at the wheel.

Jack had wanted to drive, but Carlos had sternly refused after their last ride together ended with him activating his Assassin bloodline to block his dizziness and nausea. Jack's driving skills were not exactly reassuring, and Carlos had made a mental note to never let Jack drive again.

"But..." Wesley hesitated for a moment before speaking up. "My... my father was an assassin, right?" Saying the word "father" seemed to be a bit of a struggle for him, but he managed to get it out.

Carlos' hands trembled slightly, and the car swerved a bit. Wesley hadn't cried like this when Carlos had rescued him, but for Carlos, who had watched Wesley grow up for years but had never heard him refer to Carlos as his father, it was overwhelming.

"Why don't I drive the car?" Jack noticed the change and was concerned about Carlos' driving skills. He thought that he, as a car mechanic, could do a much better job.

"No way, I'd rather jump out of the car or die outside than ride in your car again," Carlos replied, dead serious.

"Hail Hydra?" Jack said suddenly as he wanted to see the reaction of Carlos on hearing it.

There was a brief moment of silence in the car as Wesley and Carlos looked at him in confusion.

Jack let out a sigh of relief. "It's nothing, just a special code. You don't need to worry about it."

"What's the code for?" Wesley asked, his curiosity piqued.

"It's a code used by another organization," Jack explained. "Please don't use it. If someone who isn't from that organization uses it, at best, there will be damage to property and people, and at worst, it could result in complete annihilation."

"What kind of organization is that scary?" Wesley asked, shrinking back in his seat.

"Well, it's a long story," Jack said, feeling rather dramatic. "They're a group of lost souls who couldn't find their way to their master..."

Carlos couldn't stand Jack's playing anymore. "Can you stop talking nonsense?" he interrupted. "Let's get back on topic."

"Right," Jack said. "Anyway, your father Carlos used to be the master assassin of the Assassin Brotherhood. But he left the organization because he disagreed with their methods and principles."

Carlos rolled his eyes. "It wasn't a betrayal. The Brotherhood had lost sight of its original purpose. They were no longer fighting for justice but for profit. I couldn't be a part of that."

Wesley was quiet for a moment before asking, "Isn't that still considered a betrayal?"

Carlos let out a sigh. "I suppose you could see it that way. But I had to follow my own principles and do what I thought was right."
