I think the author has given us a hint of what Harry could be in the story. The story of Merlin and Morgana ended with both their deaths but now we learned Mordred lived. Perhaps history is repeating itself with Harry being an essential peace of ending this war between light and dark. Something to keep in mind is that both Grindelwald and Dumbledore are bad mouthing Voldemort but I think the old boy might have a few tricks.
It makes me see things completely differently for Lily. Yes she committed a terrible crime but now that we know that James was the recipient of a prophecy, that changes the situation. She probably loved James but not so much that she sacrificed her ambitions, and James was Dumbledore's puppet. That's why she used him in her ritual without hesitation. All she cared about was her future and Harry. For her, James was already lost.
I love how the magical world has so much more behind the scenes than we thought. I am just wondering how Harry is going to level the playing field. While we know it is possible because of someone like Voldemort who sacrificed so much to stand on the level of the champions, Harry obviously can take that route. At the same time, it is interesting that Dumbledore is actually so afraid of Lily. It makes me wonder if there is any possibility of Harry teaming up with her against Dumbledore and Grindelwald.
hm I wonder if the stone that riddle used could rip out the horcrux that longbottom has being its a bridge to the other side it probobaly could be used to destroy and send soul fragments to where they belong, just a hypothesis from my view being it would be boring if it just called shades back to the living maybe its a hidden side effect no one knows about
