for me instead of taking yamato and bonney why not let tama go with the mc? yamato and bonney has a role in one piece world, like bonney she wants to liberate her father kuma from being a slave, while yamato wants to leave wano and venture the whole one piece world. tama is an orphan already who's trying to survive alone in wano country. so why not take her away and label her as a little sister for the mc, to make a different approach coz every time the author introduce a character it always become a possible member of his harem, so why not make a change and instead take a sister bond haha, thanks for the good chapter author.
If it's close combat magic then he should get a character card from Fairy Tail. Although they use only one element mainly but their magic can be used in close combat. Plus the passive defense provided by magic in that world is broken seeing how Natsu survived meteor impact in the first half of the show. And their magic can be cast instantly.
