while it does not outright state that there are other "gods", it does imply that there are other beings that could be considered as such. I always just gave God the capital g in my head.

was meant more as a joke than anything else. besides with the power of plot armor I am sure that he could be directly using his soul as a physical hammer without consequences
This didn't mean literally putting their soul into the item or else the smith would end up as a lich like Sauron , bound to their creation but otherwise immortal. That might appeal to some people *cough* Voldemort *cough* but Nick didn't want to cut off his future like that even if it offered a supreme artifact in exchange. The correct way to use the style would be to use the smiths soul to imprint magical concepts onto their creation before setting the ring into it's final shape. - Ryan_Daugherty2mthCommented

here's a fun fact: Every single battle obi-wan has won was done from the low ground. And meanwhile he tricks his enemy into taking the high ground by making them believe it gives him an advantage. the only battle he ever lost on screen he was stuck above or even with his opponent.

the phrase 'In a fraction of the time' always got to me. it doesn't mean anything, and could literally be slower 4/3 is still a fraction, and so is 999/2.

also, some people don't look at the comments. better to have the description and appeal to a wider audience than to not. although he could've just attached it to the end. even if not for that exercise it acts as a writing exercise that adds to the story.
