I was actually saying that he should not have pain resistance seeing as the pain was to off the scale for his power to react to(and there was nothing gradual about it), but thank you for clearing it up.
(This all happened easily but it wasn't simple. The star energy was extremely potent and it was on a higher level than Profound Energy and just a little lower than Primordial Energy. It was only because of his trait of extreme adaptability and the amount of pain he had suffered from before that adapted to the pain or he would have continued to suffer every time he absorbed a little of the star energy as his body wasn't strong enough to absorb it without any effect. If he had tried to absorb any star energy in his body instead of gates which were practically non-existent and were like a separate dimension in the space in the body. Thinking about his adaptation and how it is a gradual process how is he able to take any pain below what he experienced before. From what I remember the pain was different from anything he had ever experienced so he should not have been able to adapt to it seeing as it does not comply with the gradual trend.

Just wanted to question some things -Instant Mastery: the ability to instantly master any skill you see (and are capable of, ex. Someone paralyzed from the waste down won’t start walking because he mastered the skill walking) Q1.) How does this work when he tries to master the ability of someone who has an incomplete understanding of the subject(ex. He masters the 3 moves of parkour he sees but there are at least 27) does he gain there mastery? What if they are doing it wrong? Does he receive the flaws in their technique as well? Does he have an autocorrect for any technique he performs? Q2.) Is his power really dependent on sight or is that just how it is portrayed? Like does the theoretical autocorrect function work through sensation as well? For example when he does something with a goal in mind and he is just doing it wrong do his instincts just nudge him in the right direction? Can he improve in isolation or only through observation is what I’m really asking. Q3.) People have varying masteries of a subject,(ex. 1+1=2 vs. algebra, both are math but you would not expect an absolute beginner to know the second one) so if he just masters the skills of someone who has the basics are you going to make the distinction? These are some general questions I wanted to ask.

You make some good points but let’s not forget this wouldn’t be an average sword it would be a magic sword. The point is moot anyway I contradicted myself as I said it takes years of training in order for the weapon not to be dangerous to you as well as your enemy. He doesn’t have years.

It’s in no way a conventional weapon. The urumi takes mastering both the whip and the sword before you can even think about touching one. That being said it is arguably the most deadly cold weapon.

You are generally not supposed to go to sleep for three hours after it’s been confirmed you have head trauma and then be waken once every two hours.
