1 Renegade Samurai 1

In 1970, in Japan, a man walked through the mountains of Fuji, Shizuoka. It was night and the samurai master was thinking about what to do in the future. He was a 40-year-old man who carried a Katana, something that was not common after the manufacture of Katanas was prohibited.

Samurais were officially no longer allowed in Japan, but some people like Miyamoto Hideyoshi had a special permit. After all, there were supernatural beings in this world that were difficult to kill with firearms.

In addition, weapons like Katanas made less noise and frightened the community less. But people like Miyamoto Hideyoshi were not respected and did not follow the codes of honor of the ancient samurais.

This was just a title they held in honor of the ancient samurais, but to have this title, one had to have years of training and Katana skills to obtain the license to carry these weapons.

Furthermore, even these renegade samurais were ending nowadays, since during this time, the Yakuza had conflicts even with the police. They were not afraid to kill the renegade samurais.

Miyamoto Hideyoshi also suspected that supernatural beings had infiltrated the Yakuza. They had established themselves very quickly since World War II, and today even the police could not stop them.

Miyamoto Hideyoshi had already faced these supernatural beings. He himself had killed two of them. He was respected among the other samurais because of this, and even the police were grateful to him. After all, they had shot at these vampires several times until Miyamoto Hideyoshi cut off their heads.

But in several years, few vampires appeared in Fuji. This was good for society but bad for the work of the samurais. While thinking about this, Miyamoto Hideyoshi was shocked to see a boy lying on the ground.

It was winter in Fuji and the boy was only wearing light clothes, he looked cold. Miyamoto Hideyoshi was careful because he knew that vampires also looked human until they started killing.

He approached and saw that the boy had a pulse, which meant he was alive and not a vampire. These were two good pieces of news for Miyamoto Hideyoshi. He pushed the boy aside and was surprised again.

The clothes the boy was wearing were different from anything Miyamoto Hideyoshi had seen before. Moreover, the boy was not Japanese like him and looked Western, like some businessmen he had seen coming from Spain once.

Miyamoto Hideyoshi couldn't imagine how a boy who must have come from another country was lying on the ground at night on a mountain. But knowing that the boy was human, Miyamoto Hideyoshi took him to the Fuji police station.

The officers were tense about the arrival of a missing Western boy, as this could become a diplomatic incident for Japan. They made several calls and warned neighboring prefectures to notify them if anyone reported a missing Western child.

Miyamoto Hideyoshi was curious about the boy he had saved, so he took him to the hospital after talking about him with the police. The doctors put a blanket over the boy, who was cold and began to run tests.

Miyamoto Hideyoshi was watching everything until, in the middle of the tests, the boy woke up. The boy had wild and emotionless eyes, black eyes like his hair, as black as the darkness of the night.

Miyamoto Hideyoshi was impressed with the boy's gaze, but the nurses who were conducting the tests were frightened. Soon the nurses began to ask him questions, but the boy was Western and did not speak Japanese, and seemed confused.

....

I woke up in a strange place, everything was unfamiliar, my head hurt, and I was angry at everything and everyone for some reason. For some reason, I knew this was a hospital and that I was being examined.

My head hurt more as I remembered, besides my name I couldn't remember anything else, my head was empty, and only when I saw things I remembered some things, but my head hurt as if I had to pay a price to know the information.

When I thought of who I was, my head hurt even more and the anger increased, the hatred increased, so I gave up on remembering, I would only be left with my name, Paul, it was the only thing I knew about myself.

...

"Kid, are you okay? Do you understand Japanese?" said a nurse.

"I already said he doesn't understand, can't you see how confused and angry he looks? He's Western, let's wait until we find someone who speaks English or another language to talk to him," said another nurse, seeing that Paul seemed even angrier.

"I can understand you, but my head hurts so much, I just want to sleep," said Paul, tired of hearing the women talking.

"So you can understand me, that's good. I understand that your head hurts, but I need to know if any other part of your body hurts besides your head," said the nurse.

"It's just my head that hurts, I also don't remember anything, don't remember who I am, I just know that my name is Paul," said Paul.

"Oh my god, I'm sorry to hear that. If you don't feel pain anywhere else, we'll finish the exams and then you can sleep. Rest well because when the police come, you won't be able to sleep anymore," said the nurse sympathetically.

Paul understood and waited for the exams to finish. Miyamoto Hideyoshi looked with interest at Paul, who was in an unknown place and without memories, but didn't seem scared and didn't seem like a child.

Miyamoto Hideyoshi was also interested that the first emotion he had was anger, then hatred, and all with a savagery that no normal child could have, so he decided to wait to find out who this child's parents were.

The initial exams were over and Paul could rest. Paul slept continuously for 15 hours and the police had not yet received any reports of a missing child. They tried to find cases of foreigners who had accidents, but they also did not find any.

Thus, a week passed by, and despite being found on a mountain and complaining of headaches every day, the doctors found nothing in their exams, and no one had reported a missing foreign child either.

Miyamoto Hideyoshi came to check on the boy every day. As Paul was a western child with no family or documents, the police and government had problems with him. So, Miyamoto Hideyoshi decided to temporarily become Paul's adoptive father.
