4 CH 4: Persuasion P2

'Huhuhu...' He, Chaos, or as we know him as Ali, giggled mentally, nearly bouncing around :'Huhuhahahahahaha!! I've succeeded, baby! I've succeeded!

I've bonded with Natasha Romanoff! The mommy dommy herself! And because she is my first host, and how I bonded with her through her wound like Carnage did to Cletus Kasady, we two are now just one entity!

Going through months of starvation was totally worth the damn thing!' He shouted in his head. This was the reason why he had refused to bond with anything and anyone.

Not because he only wanted to bond with Natasha, but because the first host had an extremely huge effect on a Symbiote. That's why most Symbiotes turn out evil.

Because they have shit luck when it comes to having a first host. Venom's first host was an alien hell bent on genocide, and his second host was goddamn Deadpool himself!

It's no wonder that Spider Man couldn't handle being bonded with him. Poor Carnage's luck was seriously shit too. His first host turned out to be a retarded maniac who only wanted to kill without any intentions or motives.

It's normal for him to be a psychopath himself. That's why Ali didn't dare to bond with anyone till he could get to Natasha. He may have previously been a human and have his own personality, but he wasn't sure if his first host will cause any changes in his personality.

That's why he didn't bond. He would rather starve than be forcibly changed. And just as he had thought, his first host really did seem to change his personality a bit.

Not much, since he already had his own personality. But she did cause it to change a bit. And by bit, seriously just a bit. His morality of not caring about anybody was the same.

Him being a true man of equality was the same. His thought process was the same. His personality was the same. He only felt like he had become a bit more... Sassier.

Natasha was known to be sassy at times, after all. That was the only thing that changed about him. It was obvious from how he just yeeted her down the sky.

"Alright then, let's start asking the questions." Natasha spoke as she crossed her arms :"First of all, what are you anyway? You're an alien, right? You couldn't be made because of a lab experiment."

"(Mhm, yes, I'm an alien. I am from a species from outer space called Klyntars. But as I've said, those people in the lab called us Symbiotes. So feel free to do so as well if you'd like.)"

"Wait, hold on. We? You mean there were others of your kind in the labs? But I didn't see any... Shit... They were in those animals, weren't they?"

"(Hahaha, correct. They were inside their hosts.)"

"Sigh, alright. Second question. Why do you exactly need a host?"

"(For food. We don't have the same diet as you humans. What we need is a chemical called phenethylamine.)"

"Phen... What now?"

"(Phenethylamine. It's a chemical found in the brain. By bonding with another living being, we can have a secure source of food and not starve to death.)"

"Wait, what?! So you're feeding off of me right now?!"

"(Calm down. Even though it is true, no harm will be done. Your brain is consistently making that chemical. So even if I fed on it, you wouldn't be harmed.

Also, because of the me boosting your body to a state you can only imagine, the state of your recovery has been strengthened to the point where you wouldn't have a problem even if all of the phenethylamine in your brain disappeared for a shot time.)"

"... How can I trust your words?"

"(Sigh, how do you want me to prove them to you? There isn't a way for me to prove it in just a few minutes. And besides, I wouldn't lie to you or try to harm you.)"

"Why is that?"

"(Because you're my first host.)"

"What does that have to do with anything?"

"(For us Klyntars, our first host has an extremely huge effect on us. Do you know what every Klyntar wants?)"

"No. No, I don't."

"(It's to become the ultimate being. However, we can't achieve that dream by ourselves. Simply because we can't live without a host, much less try to become the ultimate being.

That's why we bond with other living beings. But to become the ultimate being, we must have an unbreakable bond with our hosts.

To do that, we copy their personalities, so we can become an extension of them. You see, we Klyntars don't have any personalities or even thoughts.

We are like simple animals at first. Like newborn children. The only thing we have is our instinct. The instinct that tells us to stay alive. To bond.

We stay like that until we bond with our first host. But once we bond, that changes. I guess being only a thoughtless being is because of that.

Because when we bond with our first host, we analyze their personality, copy it, wishing to be a being that they could trust with all they have.

Because that is the only way we can make the perfect team. The perfect bond. The perfect symbiosis. You might not get it, but we care deeply for our first host.

For we know that the perfect bond will only come with trust in each other. Because of that, you can rest easily. Since you're my first host, I won't harm you, or lie to you.)"

"... But how can I be sure that you're telling the truth?"

"(...)"

"..."

"(... Is this your default personality, or are you just a real bitch sometimes?)"

"Hey! You're the bitch."

"(I'm not the one being so fucking paranoid over here. So yes, I think you're the bitch here. What the hell kind of people say something like that when I literally just explained my culture?)"

"The kind of people who suddenly wake up and suddenly find out they have a damn parasite in them."

"(Parasite?!)" He shouted in anger, and a tendril came out of her back before hitting the back of her head. She hissed in pain as she held the back of her head before he shouted again :"(Apologize!)"

"Why wou-" But he interrupted :"(I said apologize!)" Causing her to frown and groan before rolling her eyes :"Fine, I'm sorry. There, you happy?"

"(Better. I get that you don't trust. But there's no need to be such a rude bitch about it.)"

"*Eye roll* Who's the rude bitch here?"

"(You are.)"

"..."

"(...)"

"... Sigh, whatever. Alright, now tell me why would I let you stay with me? You may have already noticed, but I'm quite uncomfortable with someone else being inside of my body."

"(Two simple reasons. One, I can give you power that you could only imagine in your wildest dreams. Two, you need my help.)"

"One, I have gone my whole life without powers, so I'm already good. Two, why do I need your help?"

"(Simple, your little planet, Earth, is in grave danger at the moment.)"

"*Serious* What? What does that mean?"

"(Do you know why and how me and my kind got here?)"

"Something about the spacecraft of Life Foundation which had gone to space coming back and bringing you along with it?"

"(Correct. So I guess you don't know the full details?)"

"*Shaking head* No, I don't."

"(Hm, alright, I'll explain. This Life Foundation's spacecraft found us on a comet. And they decided to take a few of us and bring us to their planet.

A foolish and grave mistake. There was a reason why we were on a comet rather than our planet. You see, we were on a mission. A mission to find civilization. And destroy them.)"

"What?!"

"(Calm. Down.)"

"How could I be calm?! You're saying that you and your kind want to destroy all life on Earth!"

"(Not me.)"

"Oh yeah? And why is that?"

"(You.)"

"What?"

"(I don't want to destroy the Earth. It's because of you.)"

"What does it have to do with me?"

"(I am a relatively newborn, Natasha. I gained my consciousness on the comet, just a few hours before I was taken to Earth.

I didn't have a personality, and because there wasn't any time for it, none of the other Symbiotes taught me or made me learn what our ways are.

So I didn't have any goals or anything. I was just living. Being driven by my instinct. The instinct that would tell me to bond. The instinct that I would fight against.)"

"Why? As you've said, you didn't have any intelligence, right? So you should've just bonded with the first being there was, right?"

"(True. If I was a normal Klyntar that is. You see, I'm not a simple Klyntar. I'm not like the others. I am the 1,000th Klyntar in my line.

That not only means extreme power, but extreme weakness till I mature. I, as the 1,000th Klyntar in my lineage, can become the strongest and the most feared of my species.

Because of that, I have a high risk of having a psychotic breakdown during childhood. And so, the other Klyntar have the task of protecting me and guiding me so that wouldn't happen, or else, destroying me.

I guess my instinct as the 1,000th Klyntar also played a role, because no matter how hungry I was and how desperate I was to bond, something just held me back from bonding.

I think my body knew that I'd doom myself if I didn't choose the right host. So once I sensed you, and sensed how compatible I am with you, I immediately bonded with you through your wound.)"

"So basically, because of me, you're not planning on destroying the Earth like the others of your kind?"

"(That's right.)"

"... How can I trust you?"

"(...)"

"..."

"(... I'm beginning to have a real resentment towards that sentence, you know?)"

"Can you blame me though? Put yourself in my shoes, then you'll know what I'm talking about."

"(... Why would I go inside your shoes?)"

"What?"

"(You said that I should put myself in your shoes. Why would I go inside your shoes?)"

"That's now what I-... Sigh, fuck... Forget about it. So can we return back to the subject of Earth being in danger?"

"(Sure. You see, taking us with themselves was the biggest mistake they could have committed. Because now, we know the location of their civilization.

Do you know why that spacecraft crashed? It's because one of my kind, called Riot, escaped and caused the crash. He also used the chance to escape.

Riot is what you'd call a team leader. He will definitely look for a way to return to the comet then bring back every Klyntar on the comet. If that happens, Earth is doomed. Now do you know why I said that you need my help?)"

As he finished talking, silence took over. Natasha began to think about it, while analyzing the situation :'If what he said is true, then Earth can really be in trouble.

We have no information about these creatures either, so we're clearly at a disadvantage. When the Chitauri attacked, New York took a really big hit.

I would like to avoid another alien invasion by all means possible... Should I tell Fury and the council? No. Those greedy bastards from the council will immediately try to weaponize them.

They won't even consider the risks at all. They'll only think about how to make profit... Should we take action as the Avengers again?

Thor is off-world. Pepper doesn't want Tony to act as the Iron Man. Bruce doesn't want to go Hulk. And I feel like me, Clint and Steve won't be enough for this...'

Even though he could, he wasn't reading her mind. Ali cared a lot about the privacy of those close to him. After all, since he didn't want anybody to invade his privacy, he wouldn't invade other's.

Treat others like how you want to be treated, that was his saying. However, Mind Reading wasn't needed to know that she was conflicted.

"(Alright, how about this?)" He spoke up :"(How about we make a temporary team? We'll bond till we've taken care of Riot and the other Klyntars on Earth.

Then, if you don't want to, and are uncomfortable or dissatisfied with our bond, I will leave and will bond with someone else instead. How about it? Do we have a deal?)"

After a moment of thinking about it, she finally nodded seriously :"Alright. Deal." Her suit morphed again before he came up to her, smiled, and a hand came out of his side :"Alright then. Happy to be working with you." Natasha smirked as she shook his hand :"Let's see what you got then."
