One of us?

Now some of you may be wondering, Joseph. why does it seem like after you fall asleep the world goes black until you wake up, my response to that is you gotta wait for the host, me, to show you more. Plus I have to sleep sometimes too so I figure why not do 2 at once? Take a break from our program and take a break for myself. Reasonable right?

Well lucky for you guys, I only took a short nap so I get to tell you all the fun shit that is happening after I dumped all that stuff on the Hokage. (A/N: This is Joseph saying this stuff. I forewarn you guys with Authors note or Author something beforehand)

After I woke up I decided that I'd go visit Tsunade, I don't know exactly where she is but I can feel the that that I put on her, I figure today is as good a day as any to go and redeem my date. Heh, I can't wait to see how she reacts to me bringing it up out of nowhere.

Not wanting to walk in on her showering, or naked at all for that matter (I'm not a masochist, Tsunderes are not my thing). So I change my shirt and put on a new pair of jeans before I pet Arthur and walk out of the house in the direction of her.

Since I have breakfast all ready for me I grab out a pice of bacon and start snacking on it. Gotta love the fact that it retains it's heat while also not spoiling! Man gotta love modern science? Wait no, this isn't modern, is it even science? Future magic? Future science? Modern magic? Fuck man this is getting to be too much. You know what, screw it. It's able to hold my bacon, nothing else matters.

After about half an hour I sense Tsunade moving to the South so I start heading to intercept. As I walk I see that she ended up at the Hokage's office so I teleport to the door since honestly, walking is boring sometimes, okay pretty much all the time. I just wanted to accidentally walk into Tsunade though.

I knock on the Hokage's door and after I hear permission I enter, seeing Tsunade, Orochimaru, and Jiraiya. Though Jiraiya is sitting upside down in the Hokage's chair, Orochimaru is serving tea, and Tsunade just sat down into another chair waiting for the tea.

"Seems like I interrupted something? Mind if I get some tea as well?" Orochimaru nods and gets out a cup of tea for me. I then sit down in a chair by Jiraiya while the Hokage drinks some tea.

"It's funny you showed up here, I was about to send a letter to show up here. Well now that you're here, good news and bad news. For everyone. So what do you wanna hear first?"

Well I generally like to get bad news first so, "Bad news." Tsunade then nods her head to agree with me, followed by Orochimaru.

"Ah what, I'm the only one that wants the good news first? Boo. Oh well just lay it on us." Jiraiya does seem like person to take these kinds of things in stride though.

"Well since it's 3 against 1 so here's the bad news. The war has started, that attack was a blatant declaration of war. We know this because apparently we had already discovered this code before, it is the village hidden in the mist. They wanted to set up a front that would allow them to assault us. Not only that but we will need to prepare the war effort more so that before. We also discovered that Danzo had dealings with them in order to usurp the seat of the Hokage. Killing him slowed things down and allowed us precious time to prepare, so thank you Joseph." He lowers his head a bit to thank me, I mean now I feel like an ass. Sure I did it for the leaf village but I mean I had a mission for it too so it was also for my own benefit.

After lifting up his head he continued, "Onto the good news. So as you all know I had wanted to give you all the chance to become Hokage-"

"And I declined. I'm not meant for it." Jiraiya interrupted the Hokage so the Hokage put his finger up to get silence.

"As I was saying, however after Orochimaru's incident I don't believe I should give him the seat, I explained it to him and he was understanding. Then Jiraiya told me he doesn't want the position to to not being responsible enough, and well that leaves two of you now. But there's now a problem." He sighs and puts his head between his head.

"What's the problem?" I decide to ask since nobody else is.

"Well Joseph, as you were last to arrive and these two were here when it happened... Screw it, I'm letting Tsunade explain. I'm getting a headache again." Wow, I'm surprised he talked like that.

I look to Tsunade and raise an eye, she then sighs before continuing, "I'm dropping out too. I never wanted the seat and never will. I prefer to leave it to those more capable than me. Orochimaru would've been perfect for it in my opinion if he wasn't so..."

Orochimaru sighs, "Just say it Tsunade. I know I made mistakes in life and I plan on using the rest of my life to make up for it." Wow this sounds a lot more depressing than some original stories I've read.

"Well, sadistic would be a good general word. If it wasn't for you being so sadistic at times then you would've been a great Hokage." She then sighs and sits back into her chair to sip her tea.

"So wait, that means that I'm the uncontested next in line for Hokage?" This is too easy plot c'mon, give me something here!

Hiruzen sighs before he stars speaking, "Yes and no. Yes because you have nobody competing against you, but the Hokage needs to be the strongest, or among the strongest in the village. So in that way no you are being contested as we need to fight and you wither need to defeat me or get my approval." Yup, there's that mountain I need to scale. Shouldn't have asked for a challenge.

"Well, okay I guess. When would this be?" I may as well ask to get it over with.

"Tomorrow. I have booked the arena so if there is anything you need to take care of do it now. Also know I won't be holding back. " Wait what now?

"Wait tomorrow? That's fast? Isn't there a war going on?" I set my tea onto the table and look at the Hokage.

"Yes that fast, and its precisely because there is a war going on that I am trying to get you to take over, as Danzo had said for years, my methods are too passive so for this war I want new blood to take over. You don't have to worry about time though, we have a month to train you once you become Hokage and it's not like I am disappearing anytime soon so I can give you some help using my experience." Jesus christ, this man just doesn't want to deal with the paperwork doesn't he?

"Fine whatever. I'll fight you tomorrow. It would suck if you did go easy on me so it would be great if you didn't as its a way for me to grow too." I shrug my shoulders and sigh as I lean back in the chair.

"Excellent, I knew I could count on you. This will also help give the people a sense of peace before the war starts... especially after you dumped all those people and bodies there. That gave many people quite a shock." I rub the back of my head and grin, oops.

Jiraiya looks at me and laughs, "Well I know you have the makings of a good Hokage in you, and I don't just say that because you know the future. Haha" Orochimaru looks at Jiraiya and raises an eyebrow.

He then speaks after thinking for a moment, "What do you mean by... seeing the future?" he then turns to me and then gives me a strange looks. Not like a test subject, but more like reverence.

Jiraiya realizes at this point that Orochimaru wasn't there, "Oh yeah, so to catch you up, and remember this is secret okay? Well our buddy Joe here is from another world and somehow knows the future because of it. Creepy right? He even knew I was practicing sage mode!" Everyone stairs at Jiraiya with wide eyes.

The Hokage speaks first, "Wait Jiraiya, you are a practitioner of Sage jutsu? Wait, and Joseph, you knew this?!"

I nod while Jiraiya smacks his head, "Shit, I forgot that you guys didn't know. Just like how I forgot Orochimaru didn't know about Joe knowing the future."

"Well this cleared up my day for relaxation and its not even 3 yet. Say Tsunade, how about that date later, hmm~?" I give her a shit eating grin and she freezes up a bit. I can tell in her mind she just went 'Shit!'

*****************Tsunade POV ****************************

Shit! This bastard. Well he's not a bastard but still this was a rigged bet! How did he manage to kill Danzo? That should have been impossible even though he knows shadow clone jutsu and that teleportation technique.

Then add in the fact that he somehow convinced Orochimaru to stop being such a Sadist and to reflect on his actions scares me. I've tried talking to him, the Hokage has tried talking to him, for gods sake his best friend, Jiraiya, tried talking to him and nothing worked!

Yet this man did it all on a day?! Where the fuck did he come from?

I wonder what grandfather would think about him. Well knowing him he probably would fight him and see if he was worthy of me! Or try and gamble with him and, knowing both of our luck, end up with me being his bride.

Haha, I miss that old man. If he thought it would benefit me he would have no problem at all doing it, even if it meant losing a fight on purpose.

What would he do now though? Well he liked women so he would decline naturally, but what would he do for me? I think about it for a few moments before sighing, he would tell me to honor my bet and have a fun time honestly.

Well I'll make sure to go and have a lot of fun then, give Joseph a run for his money hehe.

"Alright, fine what time?" Hehe, I have such a great plan in mind, I don't want him to be able to speak easily tonight at all.

Haha, wow I can't believe it! She actually said yes? Hm, I expected her to try to come up with an excuse or something but well I am happy with that too.

"Well since it's about to be 3 in a bit how about 8? I'll treat you to dinner and a bit of a drink, not too much for me though since I have a fight apparently." I look over at the Hokage and sigh, to which he responds with a chuckle. I look at Jiraiya and Orochimaru and both seem to be giving a prayer for my safety. Haven't they seen my regeneration?

Oh well whatever. Tsunade decided to respond after thinking for a bit, "How about 9? It will take time for me to get ready, plus I know a good place that opens at that time~." I don't like that mischievous smile that she's giving me, but I also can't resist it so I give in and let the date start later.

It didn't take long after me saying sure for her to run out of the room. Just how much is this girl getting ready?

I continue sitting down where I was and take a sip of the tea I had set down earlier when the others start talking, starting with the Hokage, "I hope you know she is the granddaughter of the first Hokage-" I nod before he continues, "Well then I guess you should know just how lonely she is since her grandfather passed away. He was one of the few people to treat her as a person, not as the Hokage's granddaughter. That's probably why she denied the seat honestly, she doesn't want to be in his shadow, especially since she knows that she isn't as strong as him." He sighs after remembering all the pain that she had suffered, even while he was teaching her. He was thankful to Jiraiya and Orochimaru, though Jiraiya didn't see her as a relative of the Hokage he did see her as a very beautiful woman.

Then was Orochimaru's turn, "As the Hokage said, be careful with her. I know from dealing with her for so long that she is actually excited by this, date, that you are taking her on. She normally goes out to important gatherings as she is normally so she is either going all out or she has a nasty surprise. Either way, don't hurt her as she isn't as strong as she puts on." He has a lot of reasonable advice, as expected of someone who watches peoples habits constantly.

Now Jiraiya spoke up, "Haha, him hurt her? You must be Joking! Kidding kidding. I know how she is. Seriously though be careful, not just with her, but with yourself. After all you are one of us now!" He then leans in closely, "If you get frisky with her give me all the juicy details. I plan on writing a book about that stuff hehe." He grins as he walks away, what a cheeky bastard, he can get his own experience hehe.

I then walk out of the Hokage's office after waving them all goodbye as I have things I need to take care of beforehand too.
