Chapter 2

A day had gone by, Melony had got the man to sleep in the dungeon. He thought it was very uncomfortable, Melony didn't know what to do. This was her first time taking care of a human. She didn't know what to do!

So that morning, Melony ran downstairs to get some food for the young man. She couldn't let him starve!

When she arrived at the dungeon she saw him. He was doing some push ups. Melony noticed that he had bandages on his chest.

As she went over to him she placed the plate of food next to him. The man stopped what he was doing to sit up and eat.

"Thanks."

He said.

Melony had a smile on her face.

"You're welcome! Sorry about the place by the way!"

The man looked at Melony, with a smile appearing.

"Nah, It's fine. It's better than being sleepless, that's for sure!"

They both laughed.

"True!"

Melony said.

"My name is Melony by the way!"

"Dylan"

He said.

Melony looked down, a bit embarrassed about what she was going to ask.

"Hey uhm.. Weird question.. What were you doing stealing that bread?"

Dylan looked up at Melony with his mouth full. After he swallowed he answered.

"I needed something to eat, otherwise I would starve!"

"Don't you have someone to take care of you?"

Melony asked.

"Not everyone is as lucky as you princess, some people need to take care of themselves especially the ones that have no family.. Like me.."

It got silent after that.. Melony didn't expect him to say anything like that.

"I-I'm so sorry, I shouldn't have said anything!"

Dylan looked up at Melony, who felt bad about what she just said.

"Hey it's fine! You just asked and I answered! So don't worry!"

Melony looked up at Dylan with a sad face.

"Okay if you say so.. Would you like to go outside to the garden?"

Dylan smiled.

"Am I even allowed to? Aren't I supposed to be punished right now?"

Melony smiled.

"This is a punishment! To hang out with me!"

Dylan laughed.

"Are you sure it isn't for your own enjoyment?"

Melony did a dramatic gasp.

"Me? No, that would be too selfish, don't you think?"

Melony stood up from the floor, extending her hand.

"Come on! Time for your punishment!"

Dylan took Melony's hand, then stood up.
