Chapter 61: Unworthy

When Arias appeared above New Haven City, cheers could already be heard. Once he reached the Leviathan tower many figures rushed and flew down to see him. They all paused though some meters away. Their gazes first landed on Arias before turning to the beautiful woman next to him. A being of uncapped beauty with a calm but deadly aura around her.

The scene went silent for a moment before Billy stepped up and spoke.

"Welcome big brother, Is Nearítheá gonna be okay".

Arias nodded and smiled.

"Yes she just needs rest. I dread to think what reward she'll want when she wakes up"

Arias sighed and spoke casually to be Billy like world threats occurring were the norm.

Billy then leaned into Arias and whispered.

"By the way who's the super-strong pretty lady? She kinda has everyone nervous".

Before Arias could answer Àpeiro spoke first.

"You know it's rude to whisper, and even more rude not to make introductions".

Àpeiro said with a smile on her face causing Billy to blush while Arias just shot here a look of doubt.

'Since she insists.'

Arias thought before clearing his throat and speaking loud enough for all to hear.

"Àpeiro meet my people. First, the brilliant Dr. Shay Veritas she's the brains behind everything I have accomplished. Beautiful, Intelligent, and Dedicated are but a few words I can use to describe how amazing she is. We started as awkward friends to being family."

Dr.Veritas blushed heavily at hearing this.

"Then there's Billy. His young but able to shoulder great responsibility and has proven himself on many occasions. A God to some while a King to others but in my eyes, he remains the little brother I must look out for".

Billy tried to keep a straight face hearing this.

*sniff* "I'm not crying...You're crying".

"And here we have Harley. She may seem crazy to others but as someone I've been with for a while now, To me she's a free spirit who lives by her own rules, not caring for what people think of her. Only those enough to know this deserve the care she gives. She has an odd way of doing things but I trust her ".

The usually energetic Harley went silent only twirling her ponytail

'It's hard enough when he's just him but how do I react to this geez...'

"Then we have the two tamaranean sisters Starfire and Blackfire and finally Raven. Starfire is one to never betray those she holds dear. To a level that I find truly admirable in that it makes me think of myself as lucky to have her as not only a follower but a member of the Leviathan household. Her sister is still proving herself so only time will tell and as for Raven, we haven't had the chance to interact on many occasions buy that will change very soon."

Starfire smiled brightly before saying her praises as did Blackfire. But Raven simply made a bow

"Thank you master"

'Why do I always quiver when I'm near his aura I feel so helpless but also safe...urghh'.

"We also have our guests Miss Talia Al Ghul and Queen Maxima here. I am yet to know them on a personal basis but from the surface, they are both beautiful and powerful women."

Talia smiled and nodded her head

"pleasure".

Queen Maxima only nodded while avoiding eye contact.

"With that covered, I introduce you all to the woman who made me the man you see before you, if not for her I wouldn't be here. Special would be a literal understatement for what she means to me. She is the mother of my child Nearítheá and also my other half".

Àpeiro who had a calm face before was showing a very visible blush.

"You're not wrong but your wording makes it sound so..."

She kept muttering while unable to finish her sentence.

The people close to Arias felt gratitude towards Àpeiro as without her they would have never met. After witnessing her it was only natural they felt inferior to her. But they also felt special to Arias. After all, he had such a being at his side yet he still thought highly of them.

They all know he would have still stood at the apex with or without them and yet he chose to bring them along with him. Considering them a family of sorts. These made them all feel warm in their hearts.

Raven felt envious of the closeness they shared as it reminded her of her mother. She too longed for that feeling once more to be special to someone to feel cared for even though she has didn't admit it. But from what Arias said who knows what future awaits them.

Talia looked at the one man she couldn't see through. She didn't understand his way of doing things but held great respect for his methods and how he carried himself. She wished to know just what story led to such a man.

As for Queen Maxima, she fell into deep thought.

'His people, His worshippers, His servants and the women around him are powerful in their own right. There is not much that makes me stand out. and then they are those two his daughter and the mother...'
