these dialogues are just dumb.

Gosh, author is really going all black and white by making people evil :D

the northens wouldn't abandon the war because of Lyanna being raped or not, they joined the war because of Rickard and Brandon stark's death.

So the north will forget that The Mad King killed their Lord and made the heir strangled himself and think that they have no cause to fight against Targaryens. I find the assumption highly delusional. I don't get that many think Rhaegar and lyanna being in love makes the rebellion into a lie. If anything Lyana's abduction was the least important cause for it. The rebellion started after Rickard Stark and Brandon Stark had died and Mad King demanded Robert and Ned's head. That's the cause for the rebellion. Anyway Right of Conquest was a strong and widespread concept in those times so calling yourself rightful heir and opponent as usurper shows the character lack of mental capabilities and political thinking. Whatever right the Targaryens had to the Throne died with the Mad King. Otherwise every kingdom had their own thrones before Targaryens came and they can call themselves rightful heir and Targaryens usurpers of their own thrones. You can't have it both ways.

Is the author american or what ? Why is he destroying this whole story ?

Robert was friends with Ned cause they were simple people, Robert was honest to a fault, honest to his desires, he liked fighting he liked F ing. could've made Jon Arryn evil cause he was a southern lord sure, could've made Robert ignorant of most of these dialogue and made it better

what a terrible turn for the story to take.

If John Arryn would be so smart, the Kingdom would never fall apart. In general, 'cause of these stupid dialogues, I remembered why I'd dropped that ff last time. Author, please go to school. You don't understand even a particle of what was in the political mess of GoT.
