Author may I ask. In the beginning MC has a magic book right? The book that can see the future of the main protagonist (kevin) and change reality. Where is the book rn??
Hmm... Maybe the book was 'burned to ashes' but not necessarily 'destroyed'. If you think about it the book was just a convenient mean for Ren to use his authority as this world's author (not without cost though). Perhaps Ren still has this power but just doesn't know/realise it. When Ren first gets the book it's completely blank, it doesn't even have a title. It wasn't until Ren leaved the room that the book started to manifest it's power or maybe the power manifested within the book. Ren did ask his mom for something to read afterall, so why not his own book? Maybe this 'power of the story' will come back in some weird, obscure way when he needs it or when Kevin needs it (it did tell Ren Kevin's future afterall). But honestly who knows, it's all up to the whims of the Author. This has been my theory on Ren's. furture diary and thank you for listening to my Ted Talk. Sorry for the essay (,,•﹏•,,)
ApostleOfEpilogue:Isn't that a unique book. I thought the book would have survived the explosion. No one could see(or touch) it right? So I thought it wouldn't be affected by fire too. But it just got burned to ash 🤯??? Guess I just assumed too many things.
I think the language altering artifact isn’t something that should be glossed over. And tbh using it for a signpost is the absolute most banal application of such a technology. Imagine, a display that changes what’s on it based on who’s looking at it. 2 people could be looking at something and not realize they’re looking at something different. You could use this to disguise things for certain people and not for others. For example covering a side of a building to make it look like a restaurant, when really it’s a secret base for Monolith, etc.
