My job as the author is to do whatever I want because it’s a fanfic I am doing for free. Unless I’m getting paid, what others want from me doesn’t matter. Once I start writing for other people, it’s not fun. If you don’t like it then don’t read it. It’s easy.
DarkestCalling:I haven't read the story was checking reviews first but from reading some I will point out it's not about how trash the mc is it's more about how relatable or his redeeming qualities or how you portray them it's harder to like an mc that is evil manipulative degenerate and treats people like toys then an evil manipulative degenerate who treats people he doesn't care for like toys it's not a large difference but most people can relate to not particularly caring about people they don't know and only who they are close to vs having no empathy or something like I said haven't read so can't comment on your actual character and I will say if you haven't given your mc something relatable or redeeming character traits by ch 10-15 I would drop it anyways you job as the author is to hook me my job as the reader is to give it a chance

It’s crazy because the very next chapter I am writing adresses this. I don’t mind the 1 star reviews now because the MC is a terrible guy. It’s just funny seeing the reactions to his unfinished character arc

You had to make the mc a literal trash, just so that you could have a character development to make him a decent dude. It just shows how lacking your ability in creating a good MC. i mean I can't write a good story. But i sure do read a lot of them.
