Lmao, you guys are crazy. What do you all mean by "desire"? If I want a ruthless mc it's not because I want to be a killer irl myself, it is just more enjoyable to read that way. If I want a true/chaotic neutral character it's not that i am willing to kill people if it benefits me or that I will ignore someone that I can save if it doesn't. You have a twisted way of perceiving novels and that is worrying taking into account that you are a reader of I will kill the author, where the mc is literally a walking delusional psychopath with little to no remorse. That being said, I dont think that harem would go well with this novel if it was not planned from the start as the other guy said

This has literally nothing to do with anyone being gay??? As a woman myself, I think any girl with self respect finds any guy that likes harems gross and a walking red flag. Men collecting women like trophies in general is just super objectifying. I donât mind if MC has female companions if they arenât there just for the sake of making MC look better and are actually well written characters that are important to the plot. Also, lots of straight guys donât like harems. Some prefer no romance or just one girl or occasional romance subplots here and there etc. You can have great and beautiful female characters in a story without degrading/sexualizing them and turning it into a harem. If anything, things like that just ruin the plot for a lot of people. If you think only gay people donât like something as morally ambiguous and story killing as harems then idk what to tell you at this point. Everyone has a different taste in genres in the first place so itâs silly to assume something like that.

I mean some harem stories are good, but that's because it was planned out really well from the beginning instead of being a spur of the moment decision to please a weird audience member that's hoping to live vicariously through some sort of flimsy perv fantasy.
