This is dreadfully dull novel. It's so generic that there is nothing that distinguishes this novel from anything I've read before, I'll likely forget it ever existed in a few days. I have no issue with genericness and mediocrity, I read as many generic mediocre novels as the next guy. However, there is such a thing as extreme genericness and mediocrity which is exactly what this novel suffers from, it stops just being mediocre and turns into whatever this insufferable abomination is. This has no defining features, it's just a bunch of tropes slapped together. Paralysed sister, generic dystopian world with humans at the risk of extinction, miserable strength based hierarchy, dead parents, talent cheat, hiding abilities, knowing some pretty girl from a big family, fall from grace and the list just goes on really, I can't be bothered to list everything out. There're no ideas of any value or interest here. Decent translation and the execution isn't the worst thing I've read but this is just worthless honestly. 0/5.

"miserable strength based hierarchy" Isn't this like a natural law or something ? The only difference between worlds is how it is expressed. In some it is personal ability , in others it is combat prowess , in others it is knowledge , in others it is talent , in others it is wealth and in others it is family background or bloodline. Can it be considered a trope when it is a natural state ? Are you going to say "oh an another trope where humans need to breathe oxygen in low concentration".

I like it, i like the lack of a system or interface to show progress and the like, in the 20 chapters he hasn't hodden his abilities atall so not sure if you've read further to say that or you're just assuming. It's not a masterpiece, but it's decently written even if it's not original.

The keyword here is "miserable". My issue with this is that it's unreasonable and unrealistic rubbish. The fact that humanity hasn't destroyed itself from internal strife due to how inhumane they've become is unrealistic. The most unrealistic part of this novel is not the superpowers or monsters, it's the fact that society is even functioning and people haven't given into despair and whatnot due to the degeneration of morality. Regardless of the reason, the fact that a 9 year old child is going to be fed to the monsters because she's crippled should tell you that this is "miserable". Despite this, this is "normalised" in that world yet some characters are not indifferent to it. The whole thing is a bit of a weird grey area, mostly due to how little thought has been put in. The average Joe is better off dead. I need to emphasise that I understand why they want to throw out the 9 year old child, my issue is simply that such a society cannot function as there isn't even a pretence of moral virtue, even if the children are raised with such messed up morals it makes no sense that humanity hasn't collapsed under the depression and mental illness that the masses go through. The deranged disparity between martial artists and normal humans would only further exasperate this, not motivate people to become martial artists. If a well written(and sane) character were to live in that world they're likely to be depressed. You can write a strength based hierarchy that doesn't have such glaring flaws, I'm only taking issue with generic novels that have such generic badly written ones like this. The crippling depression of the common man would kill the martial artists before the monsters do.

Imagine a newcomer to this pit saw the second last paragraph of your comment. It's fun to think about it.

He is hiding his ability, I'm not assuming. I'm referring to the fact that he can eat medicine and increase his talent. "I'm so special, I have this ability/system/cheat/constitution that nobody else has, I need to keep this secret otherwise I'll get dissected". He should keep this secret, I'm not denying that, I'm just saying that the hiding ability thing is another generic trope. Of course this doesn't mean that I'm saying that everytime an MC hides their ability it's generic and bad. Quite the opposite actually, I think this can be executed in an original (not necessarily), interesting and well written manner but this is just lazy and generic. Is the fact that he doesn't have a system or interface enough to sway you even slightly? I don't see how that is a good or bad thing, it's just there I guess? I suppose it does stand out a bit since nowadays everything is system based but, make no mistake, this is still a cheat novel, just without the system interface. Saying that this is well written is debatable. Anyways, feel free to like this, I won't stop you, despite my previous points, I can somewhat understand why you'd like it, I just felt like voicing out my disagreement which is great because that's the most entertainment this novel has given me lol.

I agree. With this kind of society. It's better to live outside than to serve imagine he already decide the fate of his sister because she is disabled. And later on, introduced that a singer can also live normally.wtf his can also be singer. she's still 9 and can practice.
