That's not how it works... You can either choose to start your novel in the male lead section which means your MC is a male or you can start under the female lead sections. You tagged your novel incorrectly!
Overlord_Venus:the tag is for the target audience. It is unrelated to the gender of the lead. I'm targeting ML reader, so it is out in ML
not really , 😅 FL section is only for romance whether the lead is make or female. while, ML section is for sci-fi, fantasy, and other genre. The tags are meant for the target audience. That's how the WN system works

The FL section has a lot of BL (Boy's Love) novels where both the leads are male. There are no female leads, still it is on the FL section not ML section.

ahh no, what we have been adviced by the editors is to select the lead category (ML/FL) based on our genre and target audience. Because, FL readers usually only prefer reading romance-centric novels. This novel is not that, so it can't be put there. It follows the same tropes/setting/scheme like the ones ML readers prefer. So, irrespective of the gender of the lead character, the novel will be put accordingly. Basically, everything is based on the target audience.

I struggle to figure out how the website on PC even works properly anymore. it used to be fine before the payment system changed from stones to coins, but after that, never have I been able to read any paid chapters on pc since. it really bugs me, and I used to read on my pc more than app, but yeah...

Yes, actually a little confuse here too as there are novels in the Female section like Nanomancer and It's Not Easy to Be a Man After Travelling to the Future that is obviously an action packed novel. Though it's great that this is in the Male section as I don't often search novels in the Female section as I like more action for novels for details and would rather read manhwa and manga for romance.
