Just because he gave up doesn't mean he didn't lose. There's only win or lose, what does giving up lead to? A loss. So what if he could've (barely) won, it doesn't change the fact that he was too weak to save his mother. That doesn't sound like invincibility to me.

The Invincible Tag shouldn't be there if he lost in the first 10 chapters.

I mean, the DC characters aren't acting like different people and the writing style seems to be ok so I won't go below 3 stars, but the MC is just really unlikeable. He complains all the time, his quips are lame.... He just.... isn't likeable. To me personally, there are many ways a character can be likeable, he doesn't fit any of those ways. You can complain all the time, but at least be funny. It's really hard to like him mostly because he just feels lame. I didn't reach ch 10 so maybe I might be making early assumptions, but I just simply don't like MC. Feels like a big baby.

Would be lying if I said I liked the MC. I like his decisiveness and ruthlessness but he's just too deplorable as a character. MC is a full blown perverted degen, but it's a Xianxia novel so I pretty much expected it. Character interaction is pretty average for a Xianxia novel, MC gets trash talked everywhere he goes and he faceslaps them etc etc. (Though I do admit I liked his cruelty when 'faceslapping' them) Harem members are also pretty average in terms of Xianxia novels, they like the MC the moment they see he's OP. Pretty Cliché, but it's expected. However, what truly irks and disgusts me is how he doesn't even let go of his aunt who treated him (original body) like a son. They're also blood related, it doesn't try to use the "you're adopted" trope to try and make it seem more right. It's just full blown incest. I don't mind incest normally, but the way this started just kinda touched me in the wrong places.

Kind of ticked off for two reasons. Reason 1: It's too unrealistic. I understand that this MAY be a wish fulfilment novel (Not quite sure) but it's a bit too much. Although I hate NTR as much as the next guy, acting in porn isn't about having sex with people you like, it's about getting paid. Seeing the MC forcefully 'bind' the first three girls he acts with just make it seem like he's not cut out for porn. Although I understand the situation he was in, but still, would have liked a more realistic situation. An example of that would be an MC who is sexually attracted to the costars but is emotionally detached. Reason 2: The author notes are longer than the story itself. I understand communication is key, but this is a bit much, no? I don't think the author is gonna read this (since I think this novel is dropped) but hey, it's my attempt to help with constructive criticism.

It's breathtaking how the author manages to write complete garbage for every single chapter. I salute the author. No matter how hard I try, I would never be able to write a story worse than this, even if I turn completely brain dead it's impossible. You need a special kind of mind to write something this bad, the author should write stories for those with low blood pressure, because I for one, felt my blood boiling in absolute anger when I read this story. Then depressed that I wasted my time on something like this. The author evoked TRUE feelings in me, and that's not something any author can do! Though, I don't really have low blood pressure so I might have to avoid this author like the bubonic plague, but for those who enjoy MC being NTR'd, MC being completely brainless despite his so-called genius mind, as well as MC being completely childish, then this is absolutely the story for you!

I like how fast the MC grows but... his personality is just so unlikeable. When I say unlikeable, I mean REALLY unlikeable. I can handle stupid MCs and really annoying side characters, but this just takes the cake. I've read wish fulfilment stories before but wow. The MC basically has the vile nature of the MC in Profane Prince of Domination, the hypocrisy of 'Righteous Sects' in cultivation novels, and the naivete of of a 10 year old. The only thing that makes him the MC is his power, which I normally wouldn't mind, but it's just too much. It's easier to read Chinese novels ruined by racism and nationalism because I can at least make excuses for them, but no matter how hard I try, no matter how I think about it, the MC is just a degen with powers. I mean, really? Xia tried to convince an ENTIRE FEMALE ONLY SECT to be a part of his harem ONLY because they f*cked and he gave her power. Wtf man? I like the occasional harem and insane power wish fulfilment but this MC just screams pathetic.

Might have rated it more if I didn't read Lightning is the only way before this. I understand that the MC should have some flaws for character development, however, the flaws he demonstrates is just frustrating. He isn't decisive, which for the most part, is understandable since he was a 'normal human' before this. He doesn't plan ahead but gets saved by the author, it's annoying but it's bearable. He relies on his system heavily and complains when the system doesn't solve his problems. The combination of these three flaws makes him feel like a dumb OP Isekai protagonist which is more suited for character relief than for the role of the main lead. (Read Reverend Insanity to see what I mean by decisive) The power system in this novel is just down right confusing. At times they call it cultivation and at other times they call it magic. Also, what is the difference between a trainee mage and an adept mage? There seem to be no defining factor which differentiate the two except 'I am more powerful than you because my name sounds cooler', and if that is the case then why not just make it so that they're both part of the same major realm instead of separating them into two different major realms? The villains and side characters are all very two-dimensional. They seem to have no unique personality outside of their roles. The dark deity acts like your run-of-the-mill arrogant villain, the merchants all act like profiteers or act like they lost something in the deal and cry about it, the people in high society act like the world is entitled to them because they're in high society. It's just boring, I can skip the dialogues of the side characters and know exactly what they're gonna do. I recommend the author to read 'Lightning is the only way' and maybe 'All my disciples suck!' to improve upon their characters. PS: It ruins the immersion when the names of the characters from a certain region are all European and then a random Japanese name like 'Akane' comes out of nowhere.

This rating is for making me believe that this novel was an insane god tier novel catered to my preferences, to only then ruin it with racism. I understand that Qidian forces you to do this, but why do you have to break my heart like this? It's so hard to find apocalypse shelter type novels let alone GOOD apocalypse shelter type novels. I-I don't even know how to voice out how disappointed I am.

I'm kind of taken back how the best webnovel I have read is now a fanfiction. I don't know how to feel about that, I believe this deserves to be more than JUST a fanfiction. Also, is Evan Luthra behind this? Just curious.

The characters aren't contradictory to their comic personalities, the MC is likeable, the author doesn't self-insert, overall, top tier fanfic.

I love OP characters but this.... He's just an OP guy that likes to pretend to be a wise man when he's a complete degen. Don't get me wrong I like the fact that the 'disciples' are taking fate into their own hands, but what irks me is that every single one of them is a female in love with the MC for no apparent reason. I mean, Did Nami fall in love with Luffy in the original story just because he saved her? No, she respected him, not loved him. I get that this is a power wish fulfilment type of novel but why be so round about with the disciple thing? Why not be honest and just say that they're all his love interests? I was hoping that reading more would help me find a male disciple who changes his fate and doesn't have to be a female to sell their body to the MC, but as you can see, I am disappointed. TLDR: MC only takes female disciples and every single one of them loves him for some nonsense reason. Also, grammar might be less than satisfactory, but overall, an ok wish fulfilment fanfic if that is what you're going for.
