A cool idea I have is fighting against a talented (and insane) hero descendant who's trying to achieve apotheosis and become a god, you could make them have worshippers and expand into other folklores like the Norse mythology with dark elves from svartalfheim and frost giants from Jotunheim. You could even bring in those Korean or Chinese martial arts novels as inspiration for factions. Not the immortal cultivation ones, the ones that use martial arts and life essence or qi like low tier original dragon ball. Similar to reitos touki.

It would be cool to see him use plate armour with a Warhammer and shield, MCs always end up with swords and no armour.
