Total War System: Stuck between DC and Marvel

How would a third generation rich kid which was the black sheep of his family react when he discovers that he has been chosen as host of a system but the price is that he is bound to a place where he has limited freedom and could only leave on certain conditions? Freak out of course!!!! “Why!? I was comfortable in my house leeching of my family! Why must I be subjected to this confinement!!” [Host was chosen randomly out of trillions of many possible candidates, so in the words of your fellow humans it is better for you to ‘enjoy’ it if you can’t fight it.] So Mark Johnson was stuck within a weird three story building with a late Victorian design. [Host has discovered ‘The Shop’] [Mission Issued: Where are you?] [-Host must discover where you are and what or which worlds you can access.] Mark then fumbled around and realized that there are two doors that led to two different worlds. Namely DC and Marvel Universes. [Mission completed!] Mark could only say two words when realization dawned upon him. “I’m Fucked!” [Note: Any character in this novel is not mine except for the main protagonist. Also I would change some things about some characters as I am not quite knowledgeable in every canon facts about many of them Also I only write in my free time to release some stress so don't expect consistent uploads of chapters.]

Mark looks hardened more as he walked towards Hans who was glaring daggers towards the adventurers. He calmly held his hand forward which Hans understood immediately as he took his sword out to hand over to Mark. David saw this and paled as he realized they have just insulted the lord of this town. Either result would prove to be bad for the adventurer's guild so he turned his head and scolded his stupid teammate.

"Anton apologize now!! Why are you even doing this?" David was exasperated as well as his daughters who were now hiding behind him. Anton still glaring at Mark didn't even notice this as he answered like he was some righteous hero.

"I'm exposing a fraud!" Anton even pulled out his spear which prompted the archers to aim at him all together but was stopped by a hand raised by Mark.

"Don't, I'll do it myself." Mark felt pissed at how his presence was now known by one of the Chaos Gods. He really wanted to bash this idiot in front of him into pieces immediately.

"Heh like you ca…." Anton was about to sneer but it was then he realized he was standing alone in the middle of the meeting hall. He looked around and saw the spears and arrows pointed at his teammates, he saw the hatred in their faces directed at him making him sober. He faltered inside as he realized he acted unlike him at all but before he could pull back Mark said something dreadful.

"Due to your stupid challenge the Blood God has turned his eyes towards this place." Mark was so pissed that he got angry as well. Khorne paying attention to this place made the people inside easily irritable.

[Khorne is amused]

"Now you can't back down or else you will be cursed by the God of Martial Honor in running away from the challenge you made." Mark took a loose stance pointing the sword down on his right as he looked like he would gut the idiot in front of him. He looked like he was full of opening but Anton was to scared right now hearing Mark's words.

"You can feel it in the air, his presence drawn here due to your idiotic brain." Mark slowly walked forwards as his face seemed like he wanted to kill Anton and everyone in his family due to this event. Even David realized the air seemed to smell like blood which means Mark must be saying the truth. Some doesn't know Khorne to be the god of Martial Honor but he had heard such claims from Wizards in the empire.

"Since you challenge me then I accept. I shall cut your stupid head off so no other would be dragged in your stupidity." Mark coldly stated as he walked in near towards Anton who was now shaking but it was then he felt the surge of anger and madness which made him realize Mark was speaking true. With no choice he accepted or else he might be killed and deep inside he still looked down on Mark.

Mark felt more pissed off but he must not show something that would make the Blood god interested in him. It was not rare for people to be able to know the ruinous powers are watching them, it was mostly people blessed with magic who are sensitive to such so Mark was not worried he'll be branded unique. Maybe just a stronger ant in the eyes of the Chaos God Khorne.

Thankfully he did not show much in the town right now, the people are hypnotized which means if the Gods try to mind read they would only see thing Mark intended them to think, this was similar to how Hydra brainwashes people into thinking they are pro-nazi. Unless they go read deeper beyond surface thoughts then Mark is currently safe.

But right now he must finish this fast so he could have the watchful eyes somewhere else. He felt these Chaos gods are so OP that they were able to make a normal warrior twice more powerful with just a simple blessing. Even if there are cons it would still make some people addicted to the sudden rush of power.

"I can feel it, power coursing through my veins!! You lie! It is Ulric who gives me strength!! You are but a Heretic who shall be smi-" Anton wanted to redeem himself by saying that it was Ulric the god of war and winter who gave him power but mark did not listen as he went for the kill as he was close enough to make a quick slash in the neck.

"KYAA!!!" The two daughters of David covered their ayes as they saw the headless body of Anton.

"By the Grace of Shallya why did you not show mercy?!" said one of the calmer members of the group. But Mark just stared at the body that now stained the floor with his blood as he heard the notifications.

[Khorne is pleased of the results.]

[Ulric has paid attention to this and drove away Khorne's presence.]

[Shallya is sad you did not give mercy.]

"Mercy? Killing him quick is mercy already before the Blood God's power permeates his being any longer. Or else I would show him pain like no other that he wished he was dead." Mark saw the blood in the floor get absorbed in the ground as a hair-raising laughter sounded out in the air making him grimace more as well as the others in the room feeling the dread and primal fear within their hearts.

[Ulric has driven off Khorne]

[Lileath is watching]

[Shallya is relieved]

"I see, Lord Mark I apologize for this. I shall report this to the guild so we may give you compensation for our mistakes." David said as he bowed but one of the young men with him protested.

"Compensation? He killed Anton already so why would we compensate? He should be the one to pay fo-" before he could finish he was silenced by the intense glare given by David. He realized that he had just lost control of himself after that scary voice reverberated throughout the hall.

"I do not need your compensation, just don't ever come back here again. I want no dealings with the adventurer's guild." Mark then gave the sword to Hans so he could have a breather on his own but a notification made him want to curse out more.

[Shallya is interest in you]

[Lileath is curious about you]

[Ulric is looking at you]

Mark was feeling unlucky today as even the local goddess of Brettonnie has given a small attention towards him. Good thing they are the good guys in the Gods of the Old World but he did not want any connection to them yet even if he now has the Omnitrix. Maybe he should have another extra form of protection made once he gets the time to transform into Inspector 13.

[Marienberg]

Within Marienberg there are many places where the Baron of the wasteland could hide from the men of the Duke of L'Anguille. Right now inside the Marienberg Gentlemen's Club in a private room the Baron is sitting in a chair looking at the shivering subordinate of his who came back without his son.

"You said that this letter is to be given to me and me only? And that in no way must this be seen by others?" the Baron looked like the stereotyical fat noble you can see in fantasy settings but his presence is still stifling as he does not have any debauched aura on him. He more likely gives an aura of a cunning businessman who would make you a deal by selling the properties of others he does not own to you.

"Yes my lord." The servant was nervous as he told of how things happened truthfully, he dared not lie as he knew that their lord does not like it when the information given is wrong.

"I see, you have done well so go and get some rest. You have traveled quite far and reach me in a short time." The Baron waved his hand as he felt no lies coming out of his subordinate.

"Should we punish them My lord? They have failed in protecting your son so they should be given at least some penalty." An old armored knight said as he was their lord Judiciar tasked to give out the punishment to those who defy their lords will.

"Never mind, It seems it was my son who has done the transgression. To think he did such a stupid thing when I told him to do the mission first. Now that stupid commander of did not even follow my instructions at all. They should spend a few more days imprisoned so they would realize their folly. Have you already investigated where that small priest came from?" The Baron walked towards his desk as he opened the letter Mark sent to him.

"I have my lord, it seems the priest is involved with some suspicious persons that have been wandering the city milord but I could dig no further as the Brettonian patrols have been frequent." Said the old knight as he watch the amused expression of the Baron.

"Is something wrong my lord." The old knight asked as he was concerned because he never had remembered their lord smile like that in long time.

"Hahaha, everything's well. It seems that we have encountered an opportunist." The baron smiled as he burned the letter to a candle after reading it with a indescribable smile on his face.

"Let's just hope what he speaks is true then it would be better as we would gain more to this incident." The baron laughed as he felt extremely amused at the contents of the letter. The old knight just stood by and felt that his lord now radiated his business-like aura right now.

[In the Manor]

"Achoo!!" Mark sneezed as he had his afternoon tea lazing about. He was not sure if the gods are still watching so he stayed behind and met the various merchants that wanted to do business in the town. Me also met some travelers and refugees requesting to earn a place to stay in the town. Mark handles them all as he felt it was time to gain some more residents.

Now he is meeting with another group of travelers which is requesting to gain a place here in this town but this one he must take seriously. As the travelers were dwarves, three to be exact who now request an audience with Mark. Mark stood up as soon as the doors of the Towns lord office open to greet the dwarves. He changed locations as the meeting hall is still being cleaned up.

"Welcome Dawi travelers I am the Town Lord of this place. But you can simply call me Mark." Mark tried to be amiable as he went to shake hands with the bulky small dudes.

"Aye, it is nice meeting you too." The leading dwarf said but as soon as he opened his mouth Mark turned his head and vomited.

"Bleurgh!!!"

"Did ya see that Durfin? I told ya yyar breathe is like shite!!" the Older dwarf behind thelead one said as he smacked the others head.

"Ya should not have drank that rum on that old cask ya big lump of oil beard!" said the younger dwarf who also covered his nose.

"Bleaurgh!!" Mark kept vomiting as he never smelt something so horrifying before.

"Hah, sorry bout that lad! Just curious of the aged rum that man from Brione offered. Tasted good though." The lead dwarf just laughed it off as he patted Mark's back. Even Hans was stepping backwards as the stench reached him in the corner.
