Grand Battle

"Master Zen, we will soon be surrounded by enemy shoots and they will be within range in approximately eight minutes." ADP-01 informs me of our possible impeding doom.

"No need to worry, the Imperial Fleets will soon be here to take on the Dominion." I assure everyone on the bridge that their worry's are unfounded.

The moment I said that statement, Hundreds of ships appear around as if protecting us from our enemy. The three Imperial fleets have just arrived from hyperspace at our coordinates, and the outermost ships have already started engaging the Dominion ships in combat. Thankfully none of the Imperial ships hit us when they came out of hyperspace or that would have been a nasty ending for them.

"Master, we have a incoming communications request from one of the Imperial Fleets capital ships, what would you like to do?" ADP-01 tells me.

"Accept it."

A holographic video soon appears on the bridge in front of everyone showing a Terran middle aged man with a few scars laced on his face. "Hello, I would first like to thank you for you invaluable help in securing this position for us and sending the coordinates as we would have lost way too many ships if we tried to break through while also blind on the situation here. Also if you wish to go ahead and take your leave, we can handle the Dominion from here."

"Very well, we will head on out then; wouldn't want to overstay our welcome now would we." I reply with simple courtesy.

The video communications channel then dissapears from being disconnected on their end.

"Well ADP, get us out of here and to an area where we can jump to hyperspace." I order him as he turns the ship around leaving the Imperial formation.

While on our way out, I decide to watch the course of the battle on the holographic projection in front of me showing the battle.

The Imperial Fleets soon move into a defensive circular formation that protectes their three capital ships in the center, while at the same time releasing fighter squadrons to combat enemy fighters and bomb their ships.

The enemy Dominion ships decide to try and penetrate into the defensive formation form both sides at the same time with hundreds of ships on both the right and left side. At the same time, the Northern 35th Fleet comes out from within the planet to flank the Dominion fleet on their right attacking side, giving the Imperials the numerical advange in this battle.

The Dominion slowly loses ground as they are having more ships destroyed than they can destroy. Realizing this, the Imperials take the oppurtunity to go on the offensive breaking the defensive formation in a way that lets them circle around the enemy ships.

"I have to say that whichever of the three Admirals is leading the Imperials is quite talented in warfare strategy." I mutter to myself as I watch the ensuing battle.

Ship after ship explodes or breaks into multiple pieces as the battle continues and both sides are losing many in this battle. Don't even try to count the sheer number of Fighters getting destroyed or lost in this battle as there are just too many.

I notice that I only see one Dominion Capital ship left in the battle, I know one got destroyed by being attacked by Northern 35th Fleets flanking maneuver but what happened to the Deep Bloods fleet capital ship? I had a bad feeling that my question would soon be answered in a way that I did not want.

"Master, we are currently being chased by a large circular Dominion capital ship!" ADP-01 hurriedly tells me.

I knew it! They just had to come after us, even though their allies are getting killed right now they come after us who are leaving the battlefield. I must have really mad that Admiral angry with my little provocation.

"By the way, how are they keeping up with our speed? With that size and design its speed should not be anywhere near ours." I ask ADP-01, wanting to know what they did to get this speed.

"It seems like they sacrificed all of their defensives to put extra power into their engines and forward weapons." ADP-01 announces after scanning their ship.

Damn they are persistent that they would risk that much just to kill me, and its unlucky for us as the rear is the Evanescents biggest weakness. We have no rear weaponry to fire at the enemy with, our shields should protect us for awhile from any shots they fire but we can't shoot back yet. I also don't want to slow down and turn the ship to engage as I have bad feeling they might even go so far as to ram us.
