Persistent Pursuit

We can't engage them in head on combat as they seem a little upset and might even kamikaze us and I don't wish for any significant damage to my ship here. We can't warp away because if they shoot when we try to go into hyperspace; well lets just say a really big explosion that will kill everyone in the Nevinter star system will happen.

Looks like the only choice is for me to get into my fighter and try to either cripple or destroy the enemy ship.

"Alright ADP, continue our current course. I'm gonna get into the Aggressor to try and stop their pursuit of us." I state as I stand up and run towards the hangar bay.

The moment I arrive in the hangar, I don't hesitate to jump into my fighter and prep it for take off. I tell ADP that I'm ready and have him open the hanger bay doors so I can fly out.

The moment the hangar doors open, I hover up off the floor and rotate my ship so the front end is facing the door. I press forward on the controls willing it to take off into the vastness of space so I can engage my new persistent stalker.

"ADP, is there any known weak points on the ship that can cripple most of the ships functions?" I ask ADP-01 over the ships communications system.

"No known information, just target the engines and bridge for now. If the are smart, they should reroute power form engines to the shields again so they aren't left defenseless." ADP-01 informs me, which is not much help as I already knew all of that.

"Well looks like I have company as two full fighter squadrons just launched form their ship." I announce to myself while preparing evasive maneuvers and heat up my weaponry.

Lets see, they have a total of fourteen fighters sent out to engage me. This shouldn't be too bad as I can guareentee that none of them are as good as a pilot as me. They kept one squadron of seven around the ship to protect it, and sent the other squadron of seven after me in an attempt to thwart my attack plans.

The squadron splits off with one group of four behind me firing and the other group of three going around hoping to get in front of me and cut me off. I do a drop 'n' turn maneuver where I suddenly drop from my current position and turn to face my opponents. I fire the front laser cannons and six torpedo launchers aiming at the four ships that were surprised to see me facing them all of a sudden.

Two ships are instantly destroyed by torpedoes and one ship is damaged from laser fire while the last managed to dodge at the final moment. The damaged ship soon spirals out of control into the vastness of space, most likely never to be seen again. The sole survivor soon refocuses on attacking me head on. I take up his challenge where we both charge each other as if we were going to ram into each other ship.

He opens fire first with two missiles launched towards me, I respond with sliding turn where I angle my ship to fly in between the two missiles and launching another torpedo that destroys the surprised enemy.

The other three ships finally catch up and start firing immediately upon me, with no luck at hitting me. I continously dodge and outrun their fire, not getting a chance to make a maneuver to take them down. Damnit, are they ever gonna let up on firing! They just won't give an opening, for me to make use of.

I guess i'll have to use plan "B" for these three then. I launch the only group of flares that I have in hope they make a good enough smokescreen to give me that opening I need.

Good! It worked, they stopped firing as they temporarily lost sight of me. I immediately make us of that to fly straight up to hook around them, then I shoot and destroy all three from their rear using my front laser cannons.

Now that I've dealt with those persistent pests, it is now time to cripple that ship while dodging the other fighters that guard the capital ship. I will first go for the bridge in hope that the Admiral will still be commanding from aboard it, and that should stop all pursuit if they have no leadership or control.

I veer my ships course heading in the direction of the big floating donut that is still persistently following after the Evanescent and occasionally firing off a few shots.

Let's go kill us an Admiral, and probably piss off the Dominion while we are at it. Good thing I never planned to vacation in their territory.
