Evening

Yul's Café.

     Arizona and Areum were working in silence. Yes. A very uncomfortable one at that. Areum wasn't talking, smiling or even looking at him, and he felt bothered. Why?

When she even got here, she barely greeted him. Has he done something wrong?

   He couldn't bear this attitude anymore, so he asked, "Areum. Can I ask you something?"

   Areum didn't look at him, she only hummed. Arizona sighed, "Are you mad at me? Did I do anything wrong?"

   Areum looked at him, her green eyes narrowed dryly, "What makes you think so?"

"I don't know. Are you okay though? You usually aren't like this. "

  Areum nodded," I'm good. Thanks for noticing me this time around. "

  The way she said it, made Arizona realize something had happened. He nodded and they continued to work.

  " Should we go out later this evening?"He asked suddenly, making her stare at him in surprise. He's never asked her out.

   Arizona felt his cheeks flame in embarrassment. She's looking at him like he grew another head.

    Areum, totally forgetting she's annoyed at him, beamed, "Oh. Ok!"

   Arizona smiled ' Phew! She said yes .'

"Umm.. So.. Ari? "She began slowly.

   " Yes? "

" I... Uh... I saw you this morning. I didn't know if you saw me, but i saw you. You were with this girl... "

    Arizona raised a brow," Ella? "

Hiding her sneer with a smile, Areum said," That's her name? "

   Arizona nodded," Yes. She's Luella. Do you have a problem with her? "

   Areum shook her head, a fake grin on her glossy pink lips," Well...No.Is she your  girlfriend?!"She spat before she could stop herself.

    Arizona's dark brows creased, his striking blue eyes narrowing behind his glasses. "No..."He replied slowly and Areum felt as though something heavy was lifted off her shoulder.

   " Oh... I see. I was just like.. She's your girlfriend. I mean, she was holding you, real close. "Areum said with a huff.

     Arizona smiled," She can be clingy. But she's not my girlfriend. Just a friend."

    Areum grinned, "ok! I didn't know you had other friends actually."

     Ari smiled, "Well,now you do."

"Yeah."She grinned at him and he smiled back,

"How many?" She suddenly asked. Before he could even think, she added, "Are they girls?"

    Arizona looked at her and she giggled awkwardly. 'Damn . you're stupid, Areum.' She mentally scolded herself.

    "Never mind. Let's work." She said.

   They left the café and Arizona walked Areum to her Music school. They chatted on the way. It was very lovely.

   "ok. See you tomorrow?" Areum grinned as they reached the gates. Arizona smiled, "Yes. Tomorrow. Bye."

" Bye. "

And they parted for the day.

     Kanye, Riel, Areum and few of their friends were in the school compound, chatting and laughing.

  " And I'll save my beautiful one. "Kanye grinned, throwing his arms around Areum's shoulder and she rolled her eyes, smiling a bit," You can't fight. "

   " Oh, he can "Hudson smirked. He's on the football team and he's also an Adonis.

      Areum smiled," I don't believe that. "

" I do. "Riel giggled and they all laughed.

  They chatted freely but suddenly, someone ran up to Areum and bumped into her, pouring strawberry drink allover her.

    Her friends gasped," Areum! "Riel said, bringing out a dry towel from her bag.

     Kanye frowned as he helped her to pack her hair off her shoulders where the drink dripped down from.

     Areum glared at the girl that bumped into her. It was obviously a deliberate act but she said, "Oh!Gosh!I'm so sorry about that!"

    "That was intentional, You goon!" Riel snapped at the girl, who made a face,

    "It wasn't."

Areum frowned,recognizing her as one of the girls that follows Serafina around,"Serafina sent you, didn't she? "

  The girl blinked," Excuse me? "

Kanye walked towards her and she blushed, moving back," Next time you try something like this, I'll make sure to break your arm. I don't care about the repercussions. Understood? "

   She nodded, wide-eyed." Now, apologize to her. "

   Areum said," She can keep the apology. I'm feeling sticky. Let me go and wash this off. " and she walked away.

    Riel glared at the girl and went after Areum.

     ⭐Ladies Restroom⭐

Areum was by the sink, washing off the pink liquid that had now stained her white blouse permanently.

    She'd told Riel to bring her extra blouse from her locker and when the door opened, she looked up, thinking it was Riel but to her annoyance, it wasn't.

   There stood the brown haired b*tch, a smirk on her painted red lips.

      Areum ignored her and she continued to wash the blouse.

      "Need some help with that?" Serafina asked slyly.

     Areum ignored her. Serafina scoffed and walked over to her, "I'm talking to you, Slut!"

    Areum glared at her, "Don't tag me names that are obviously yours."

      Sera's eyes widened, "What!" and as she raised her hand to hit Areum, Areum held her hand mid-air,a deadly stare in her green eyes.

     Realizing she's at a loss here, Sera scowled , "Let go!"

    Areum said to her, "Don't you ever try this shit with me again, Serafina. I am not one of those girls you can bully and make them fall at your smelly feet. I am Areum Kyung. Don't mess with me. Understood?" She asked with a snarl, her grip tightening each passing second.

  "Oww...Fuvking let go of me!!" Serafina screamed at Areum.

    Areum let go of her hand and that was when Riel came in with the blouse. She eyed Sera, "What went down here?"

   Areum smiled, "Oh nothing." She collected the blouse and wore it.

  "Come on! Kanye is worried about you." Riel giggled.

  Areum turned to Serafina, who was glaring at her like she wants to murder her.

    " It was nice having a nice conversation with you.Bye." Areum said, flinging the wet blouse at Serafina's face.

  Serafina gasped in shock. Areum smiled at that and walked out of the restroom, Riel laughing as she followed.

Luella was walking to the parking lot when she saw Kanye and Areum entering Kanye's car.

   She smirked to herself. 'At least she's not with Arizona.' and with that, she entered her car and drove off, her destination, Yul's café.

Mr Kyung called Areum to come home early, so Kanye offered to take her home.

  He dropped her at home and left.

Mr Kyung had some official visitors and Areum had to be there as they all ate dinner.

During the meal, she was distracted.

She was quite worried about Arizona. He's going to be waiting for her at Yul's. Her dad didn't allow her to use her phone in front of his visitors and she couldn't just leave with the excuse of a phone call to her friend.

     She sighed, losing interest in the food.

     Arizona heard the door open and he looked up expectantly, thinking it was Areum, but it wasn't. Just a regular customer.

     He sighed disappointedly.

Luella watched him intently, "Can we just go home!?" She asked, her voice bored and annoyed.

   Arizona said, "Areum..."

"isn't it obvious she's not coming!? "Luella spat in infuriation, rolling her pretty brown eyes.

   Arizona sighed, looking at her," What makes you think so? Something must have taken her time... "

  "... It's been hours, Arizona! You've called her countless times but she's not picking up! And besides, I saw her with Kanye earlier. So..."

    Arizona caught onto that, his brows knotting up in a frown, "With who?"

      "That music idol! Kanye Black. She was entering his car so I guess they are going out or something."

    Arizona felt his heart squeeze, anger building up in him. 'She stood me up because of Kanye. Wow. '

      Luella' s lips were coated with a smug smile as she added, "I told you she won't last long. She's been with him most of these days. In fact, I heard from some students in class C that they are dating. He even calls her 'my beautiful one'. And the way she looks at him, it's so obvious she likes him. I even..."

    "... Ella!" He didn't know when he snapped at her. He couldn't bear to hear any more of it. Areum and Kanye. His jaws clenched.

   Luella pouted, "What? I was just stating the facts."

   Arizona began to pack his books into his bag. Luella stared, "Going home already?"

   He didn't say anything. He only stood up and walked out of the Cafe. Luella ran after him "Arizona!"

    He turned to her, trying not to let his anger show in his voice, "What is it, Luella?"

     Ella smiled at him and hugged him tight, "Even if she stops befriending you, You know I'm still here for you, right?"

   Arizona nodded, pulling away, "Thank you, Luella. Goodnight."

   "See you tomorrow."

Luella smiled in content as Arizona's car sped off. Aw. He's so cute when he's angry. It's better top poison his mind against Areum now.

   She nodded to herself, believing what she did was smart. Little by little, she'll crumble their friendship before it emerges into something else.

    Arizona would never try to woo a girl if he realises she likes or is into somebody else. Luella knows him that much and decided to use that to her advantage.

What could go wrong?
