Vigilante meets Spawn

Vishal finished his work early and departed early. His father knew that he finishes the work too early whenever he wanted to do something else. So Ravindra did not pay any attention to it.

Vishal sat in the mansion and waited until 6:30. He saw a bat figure appear at the edge of the room.

Vishal did not even care about the guy. He knew the guy was coming because the Outlaws and Ivy were spotted by him.

"If you want to be broody and intimidating, you can do it elsewhere," said Vishal.

Batman was suspicious that Vishal was somehow linked to Vigilante. He wanted to get the confirmation out of the boy but he did not expect the teenager to even care.

He appeared from the darkness and asked "Why are you helping a group who breaks the law by killing people?"

Vishal did not even care that Batman was trying to intimidate him with such a question.

"I can ask the same type of question. Why are you breaking the law by wearing that costume and beating the shit out of others?" asked Vishal.

Batman narrowed his gaze and understood that he was not easy to deal with, just like the Vigilante.

He is recording the voice to get a match with the vigilante. Alfred was monitoring the voice in the cave but it was no match.

"Yeah, manipulating the voice frequencies a little can cause enormous changes." thought Vishal, as he used Cyborg's powers to change his voice frequencies.

"Answer me." said Batman.

Vishal sneered and said "Jason is family to us. One night, he came crashing into the mansion with bullets in his body and I cured him with my powers.

As for what he does outside, it is none of our concern, because when he is in this mansion none of that matters."

Batman's face showed a hint of emotion before disappearing.

"Yeah, we know everything that happened to him. A good soldier, right?" asked Vishal, chuckling.

Batman's nerve on his cheek was visible now as he twitched.

"Sheltering a criminal group is wrong and the same goes for Ivy. I'll be informing Gordon about this." said Batman.

"Do it." replied Vishal.

Batman was surprised on hearing those words.

"As far as I am concerned, he and his group only took out criminal elements and not the innocents. As far our relationship with Jason is concerned, it is personal and has nothing to do with their crusade.

If you want to be petty and get me arrested for that, then you can do it. Plus, you don't have any evidence to prove that me and my father were involved with their activities.

As for Ivy, I am trying to change her and I have provided a place away from the city so she can live there with her plants."

Batman is conflicted and also startled because the boy knows that he doesn't have any evidence and he also got information from the comm just now that many acres of land were brought by the company for a solar power plant and Amarnath constructions is building a house on the land.

Vishal smirked and said "So, you can inform the commissioner about my charade with outlaws. Let's see what he can do without any evidence. Even the conversation that is being recorded on your cowl can also be called unreliable."

Batman's eyes widened on hearing the words.

"Don't be surprised. I am a businessman and though we may not be in the weapons business, it does not mean we don't have knowledge of it." said Vishal.

"Where did they go?" asked Batman.

"I don't know. The only thing I know is that Arsenal was poisoned by Copperhead. Jason brought his partner here and I cured him." said Vishal, as green energy appeared in his hand.

"You should tell me where Ivy is hidden." Batman tried to intimidate him.

"Are you even listening to me?" asked Vishal.

"She is under my protection. I'll make sure that she doesn't cause any mayhem by keeping her away from the city. It has been many days and she hasn't caused any problems. Why do you think so."

"She is a criminal who needs to be in Arkham," said Batman.

"With that clown who is your own creation?" asked Vishal sharply.

Batman shuddered and asked "How did you know?"

"It's obvious. You think I don't have any connections to GCPD?" asked Vishal.

Batman frowned.

"Don't worry. I am not Black Mask or other crime lords to have them under my payroll.

I have a business-type relationship since some of the criminals who are apprehended in these areas are to be delivered to the Police." said Vishal.

Batman was not surprised but it was eating him inside when Vishal pointed out the truth.

"You need not waste time with unnecessary questions. I know you came here on suspicion that me and my family have links to the vigilantes." said Vishal.

Batman asked "You and your father are the prime suspects, since I know Wayne Enterprises is not involved with that guy."

"Yeah, using your own company as bait. Nicely done bastard, but I won't fall for the trick." Vishal thought in mind.

"So, you're accusing me and my father of sponsoring a murderous vigilante with weapons without any actual benefit to business or people?" asked Vishal in a sarcastic tone.

"That's a very serious accusation. If you don't have any proof to back it up, then I'll have to inform the Police Department about defamation." warned Vishal.

Batman was not afraid of the comment, but what Vishal said next made him feel fear.

"If you think it is going to be like with those criminals, then you're wrong. I know you're Bruce Wayne behind the mask. Using the company's money to fund your vigilantism." said Vishal.

Batman gritted his teeth. He was very frustrated because first it was Mystical Punisher, the next it was the vigilante and third, was, Vishal.

"Jason told me your identity. The only reason I didn't tell the police is because it is none of my concern." replied Vishal.

"Why should I believe you to keep it a secret?" asked Batman.

"I didn't even inform the police about outlaws when they were in the city," replied Vishal.

Batman felt a bit assured but still kept his guard up.

"One question though, Batman?" asked Vishal.

Batman looked serious.

"I know that your moral code won't allow you to take the life of Joker and I agree with it but why didn't you petition in court for a death sentence of the clown as Bruce Wayne for killing Jason?" asked Vishal.

Batman raises his eyebrows as the question raises serious implications.

"Were you so afraid that your identity would come out that you didn't even care Jason died?" asked Vishal with an angered look.

Batman was irritated and went at Vishal to hit him.

Vishal captured the punch without flinching.

"I may not look like it but after losing my mother and sister I did not like to take chances with any criminal element, so I've learned my fair share of martial arts." said Vishal, throwing away Batman's hand.

"You need not answer that. Leave now." said Vishal.

Batman leaves the house with an angry look.

"That was a low blow, host," said the system.

"No, that was a reality check. He needs to understand people's emotions in which he is very bad. He doesn't even try to understand how his own sons feel.

He was even more bitchy when it came to Jason," said Vishal.

Vishal used Doppleganger skills and one part was in the house while the other part turned invisible and wore vigilante gear and made his way to Arkham asylum.

As he reached there, he dropped sleeping gas all over the asylum, which made criminals sleep.

"I'll use the magic afterwards. Since I have a Nephalem bloodline now. I can take care of Fate if he ever appears." thought Vishal.

As soon as he entered an alley in the Asylum, he saw someone coming at him, so he put some distance from the target immediately. .

The figure landed and when he stood up, Vishal said "Spawn".

The black costume with white lines embraced the body with a red cloak.

"What are you doing here, VIgilante?" asked Spawn.

"Dead Zone. There is something abnormal going on," said Vishal.

"I see. The rumours are not wrong about you having powers." said Spawn.

"I've been sensing these energies for a year, Albert, but I could not pinpoint it." lied Vishal.

Spawn was a bit surprised but he kept his cool.

"No need to worry. Unlike you, my powers aren't suppressed in the Dead Zone. But I can say for certain that we only have four days to stop whatever is about to happen." said Vishal.

"No need to waste time then. Let's go." said Spawn.

Vigilante nodded and they both made their way to the zone.
