CHAPTER 58

It was finally the day of Christmas and the snow was falling like no other but people didn't care cause they had the Christmas spirit in them, they still put on their Christmas lights,go from door to door to perform their carol to Family who wishes to listen,Families flooded restaurants,eateries, snacks bar and fun park to enjoy their Christmas day especially with their loved one's.

Everyone was enjoying their day except Alexia, who stand at the window with a glass wine in her hands staring down at parents enjoying their time with their kids or boyfriends having fun with their girlfriend's.

She smiled bitterly. "Happy Christmas to me".She said to no one in particular and sip her wine.

She was alone in the huge mansion without the servants who had gone on Christmas holly and her parents who she didn't know whether they were dead or still alive.

She was already used to this loneliness that surrounded her but right now she felt sadness cause she finally had friends who was willing for her to join them but she chased them off cause of her selfish love for Asher.

Her bell suddenly ranged. She wondered who would be here by this time especially when it's snowing.

She dash to the door and opened it."Aiden?".Aiden shudder in cold and made his way into the house,dusting of the snow off his hair.

"W...what are you doing here?".She questioned.Instead of answering,he reach for his phone in his coat pocket and simply said.

"Bring it in".He commanded. Immediately two huge men troop in with bags of groceries.

"E...er..w..what's happening,AIDEN!!!".She screamed,feeling left out.

"What does it looks like to you?am spending Christmas with you"He grins boyishly.

"I don't need you here,I have people to spend it with-".

"Like who?your so-called-servants-friends".His lips pull up into a smirk.

She sent him a deadly looks. He broke into a wide smile. "Stop glaring at me and get the groceries into the kitchen".He snaps and picked up a bag and match into the kitchen.

"All I know is that I don't need you or anyone!".

"Your lonely".She dismisses his comment with a scoff.

"Like hell I am".

"Parent?".

"Dead" .She deadpanned. Aiden and Alexia set it on the counter top.

"You need someone especially me".He opens her fridge, his mouth was an open 'O'."Your fridge is empty".He said,which sounded more like a question .

He looked behind her and she shrugs nonchalantly. "What did you eat this morning and during lunch?".He questioned,infuriated cause she wasn't taking care of herself and it angers him to see is all because of Asher.

"Wine".She laughed nervously and lifted a bottle of wine into the air.

He shook his head and took of his coat and roll up his sleeves.

"Apron!".Alexia quickly brought it and looked at him puzzled.

"Why?".

"Am gonna cook cause am sure your hungry and Two,cause it's no one but me that can do it".He ruffles her hair. "And three,i want to spend my Christmas with Alexia, my special princess".He winked.

Alexia heart felt warm by his words. "Stop daydreaming and help me put on the apron".He ordered.

"What!".Alexia snap her head to his direction.

"Quick".He spreads out his arms.

She took a step forward,she stood close enough to him,to the point she could feel the heat radiation from him,she tries to calm her heart which was beating furiously as she stood on her toes and put the ropes over his neck.She quickly pick up the pleasant fragrance of his sleek inky hair and breath.

Soon her eyes locks with his amber eyes and her breath deepens.

"Have you seen enough?".She quickly pulled away."You aren't done yet,waist ".She gave him a slight nod and tie it around his waist."Did you like what you see?".He teased.He couldn't help but tease her especially how cute she looked with her flushed face.

"Stop spouting nonsense!".She hit him against his chest."Start cooking,Mr.Aiden!the food won't cook itself".She quickly ran out of the kitchen as he finally burst into laughter.

Minutes later Aiden walk in with dishes of roast lamb joints garnished with onions and potatoes, large meat with carrots,turnips,onion and celery and fresh fruit,nut,candied fruits. Alexia was already drooling in anticipation of the foods placed before her.

"Stop drooling, your messing up the table with you saliva".Aiden eyes spark in a teasing manner.

"What!".She quickly shut her mouth and touch her mouth but no saliva."You lair!!!"She spoke through gritted teeth.

Aiden gave out a boyish laugh.

"So gullible, come let's eat".

After filling their bellies with Aiden perfect dishes,they played a game of chess,car racing game,filling the house with their laughter and then watch a movie and decided to settle down with a glass of wine.

Aiden kept grinning like a child as he stared at Alexia whose cheek had reddened from drinking too much,she was probably drunk.

"Stop staring at me".She drawls her word."W..Why don't you hate me?why do you insist on spending your Christmas with me?Am bad,cruel, I made Trina cry,Gowon and Asher hates me but Aiden still insist on staying by my side even after I hurt people" .She hiccups and took a gulps of her wine."But Aiden still wants to stay by Alexandra side,Why!!".

"It wasn't your fault that boy fell off the roof,it wasn't your fault you fell in love with someone that once loved you but hates you now,I know how you feel,Alexia- ".

"It looks like Aiden has experienced it,let me guess it's Trina?".She said with a hint of jealousy in her voice.

He gave her a slight nods."And because of that love I changed but when I finally met you...I-".

"Asher".

"What?".He snapped.

"Am gonna give Asher up,Trina deserve him and he deserves her not me....after I think of all the time I spend with her, it makes me guilty for what I did to her and Asher I want him to be finally happy,losing Kyle was like losing half of himself and it all happened all because of me".She wiped her tears.

She looked up at Aiden in admiration. "If Aiden,my knight and shinning amor can let go of who he loved then me his princess will".She flashed him a smile and he smiled back.

"Idiot".He wiggles her nose and she giggled. "Your so cute"He says,cupping her face into his palm.

"You didn't answer my question. Why does the Knight still insisting on staying beside the evil princess side?".Aiden smile fades as he pulled his hands away,his burning gaze rested on her making her heart to thrum in her chest.

He moved closer to her,closing the distance between them and tangle his fingers with her."Aiden".She murmur seductively.

And then suddenly his mouth caught hers and he pushed her against the couch,his finger came to her jaw,separating her lower lips from her upper.When he gain an entrance to her mouth,he sealed his mouth with hers.

Alexia felt herself going back to sober.

The way he scents filled her nostrils that affected her like drugs,she could suddenly feel his tongue sliding into her,exploring her mouth. Her hand curl over his neck,bringing him closer as she deepens the kiss,he sucked on her lips,tasted and ate her that saturated her like drug.

And he lifted himself away from her.

"This what you do to me,Alexandra".He caresses her flushed cheek.

"Aiden".She could only say.

He rested her head against his hardened chest and wrap his arm around her and whispered in her ear. "The knight insist on staying beside the evil princess because he's in love with her".He lowers his lips to her closed eyelid and press his lips to it.
