CHAPTER 28

The staffs were flabbergasted to see their boss with a woman.

Since they had started working in this company they never saw him with any lady.

Sometimes they thought he was into men but right now they were jealous to see their handsome boss with a lady who they assume is his girlfriend .

Asher,Trina and Joey made their way towards his office. When they entered Trina's mouth was an open' O'. Was this a office or a hotel suite.

Few minutes later his table was filled with documents,files,books,after giving Asher the details he needed Joey left leaving Trina alone with Asher,who instructed her on what to help him with.

So the two was busy with the pile of files that occupy their tables. After Trina was done she stretch out her muscles and yawned. "I feel so hungry".

"Are you a bull?".He harumph and tilt his head to her."Bring the document let me see what you have done and let's see if I would reward you with food". Trina got to her foot hastily and pad her way to his chair.

She drops the document before him and lean closer to him to look at her work as he went through it.

Asher couldn't focus with her been too closer to him especially with the way her brown hair tickle his cheek.

He caught the pleasant fragrance of her hair that drives him crazy. "Good".He said as she smiled. She felt proud of herself, she opened her mouth but shut it as she felt Asher taking a few strand of her hair,bringing it up to his nose to smell. Her hearttrob furiously underneath her shirt.

He looked up into her eyes that was burning into her."I love the fragrance of your hair.Gosh!it drives me crazy".He said still staring into her eyes studying her facial expression not daring to look away. He stood up as she took a step back.

"W..w..hat are you doing?"She stuttered as he moved closer to her.He could see through her eyes that she wasn't scared of him but how he strangely affects her.He watched as her cheek caught on fire.

"Tell me what your actually thinking? ".He drawl out as he came closer.

"You said you're abstaining".She muttered and he chuckles.

"I did tell you for a while".He shrugs and close the distance between them as he caught her slender waist in her.

Trina cursed herself in her head as she unwilling response to his touch, she place her hand on his broad chest as she blushed harder."How did you get all this scratch on your skin".He lifted her up and lowered her on the table. He touched her ankle which was bruised."How did you get this injury?".He asked rubbing his fingers gently on the bruise that raised goosebumps all over her body.

"I..I slipped while having my shower".She stammered as she toyed with her finger nervously.

"Here?".He pointed to the tip of her finger.

"Well,Gowon is teaching me how to bake since she got me a job at a snack bar.For you to be hired you will have to go through cooking interview. So I..I. .I burnt my hand but am okay.Why don't you let me a job here?".

"Can't.you have to learn the basics first".He said earning a scowl from her. He smiled and rested his elbow on her lap and cup his face in his palm gawking at her."Tell me more". She couldn't help but smile, she had to admit he looked like an adorable four year old child.

Asher spend the hours listening to her on how she got some childhood scar,he couldn't help but laugh,smile and giggle on how stubborn and stupid she was as a child.

He stood properly and spoke."You don't take care of yourself, what are you a five year old kid".He scolds. "I will call Joey to get me a first aid kit for your ankle".He pull away from her and brought his cellphone to call Joey. Trina stared at him in amazement.He was indeed one of a kind.

A knock came from the door as Asher ask him to come in,Joey walked in, place the kit on the table and left.

Asher walked up to her and opened the kit which was beside and brought out what he needed. After applying an ointment to her bruise, he pasted a plaster on him."Let me take you home".He said and helped her to her foot.

"But you promised to go to the movie with me".She said and gave him a adorable puppy face.

"Later and you can see its raining".

Trina head snap to the window galvanized. "When?I didn't know".

"For a while,how would you notice when your with an interesting man like me.,let's go".He urged her and walked to the door as she follows and he closes the door behind them.

The rain poured heavily without warning. Thankfully Ted and Gowon had reached their destination before the rain pour more heavily.

Ted opened the door to his small but expensive fashionable apartment. He watched as Gowon step in looking around,the house was tidy with a sweet scent of vanilla that filled the air."Do you like it here?".He asked. She nods smiling.

"It's so cozy and warm here just like you".Her smile widens on seeing Ted dumbstrucked. "Come on show me your drawings".

"First we need to get change into dry cloths-".

"We can do that later".She said excited to see his work.

He nods and led her to the hallway where they entered a large room filled with comics books,artworks and a huge painting of her.She grins from ear to ear as she moved closer to the painting. "Your so talented. It's so beautiful".

"Just like you".He moved closer to her, closing the distance between them as he took her flushed face into his palm. He wasn't a courageous man every girl wish for but with her who liked him despite how childish and cute he looks he found himself doing things he never thought he would do."Have come to realize that I love you Gowon".He said undaunted. "I love how boyish you are,your craziness, the cold-hearted girl,you claim to be but in that heart lies a soft place which only me can occupy. I ..I want you to be my girlfriend even if am not every girl's-".He was suddenly silenced by her lips.His hand travels down her waist and the other to the nape of her neck pulling her closer to her as his kissed her back,harder and deeper.He tore his mouth away from her and smile.

"Yes,am going to be your girlfriend".She threw her arms around him."If not you who esle would love me the way you do"He hug her back and rested her head on his shoulder. "I love you".She whispered enough for only him to hear.

"I know".He press his lips to her head.
