CHAPTER 27

Trina didn't say a word while they were driving to his company.

"Have the truth derived you from speaking?".Asked Asher staring outside the window.

"Am still angry at you".She said with a grunt.

She looked at Asher who was staring outside. She wondered if he was okay."Hey!are you ok?".She heard herself ask.

"I thought you're angry...childish girl".He scoffed and faced her."Am good.what'sup?".

"You. ..you aren't mocking me like you do and also flirting with me or annoying the heck out of me".

"So you loved when I do all this especially flirt with you".He drawl out as he moved closer to her.

"W..wha. ..w.what are you doing?".She said leaning back as he came closer until his face was an inch away from hers.

"Putting on your seatbelt which you refused to put on".He slowly put on her seatbelt as he studies her facial expression.

Her chest had turn hot with emotions, he was too close to her that she could feel the heat radiation emitting from him.He pulled away and gave her a charming smile that melted her heart.

"Abstain".She heard him say.

"What?".Her brows rosed.

"Am abstaining from flirting and annoying you for a while".He completed.

Trina chuckled earning a curious look from Asher.

"You've so many layers...you're cold to some people,nice,sarcastic,a narcissist and warming. Why?".

"Some people takes advantage of your kindness that's why I behave cold to them but you I know you can't do that cause I trust you".He said not breaking his steady gaze from hers.Those words warms her heart.She smiled at him and ask.

"Do you also trust my friends you were nice to them too".

He shrugged. "I kinda like their personality, their presence seems welcoming".

"What about me?".She asked curious to know what he thinks of her.

"I think I have said that an hour ago".He said.

"When?you didn't say it".Asher narrows his eyes and shook his head.

"What a dumb girl you are".He snaps.'Was she ever going to figure out his love for her with that dumb brain of hers'.He sigh.

Gowon and Ted walked into a cafe as a tiny bell announces their presences.They found their ways to a seat at the closest booth and sat down. As a waitress walked up to them."What can I get ya?".She asked hoarsely .

"A glass of milkshake " .Gowon retorted back.

"A glass of ginger beer".Ted said.The waitress nod and walked away. "You shouldn't have been harsh on her".

"Yes sir".She said as she reclined her arm on the table.

Few minute later their orders was placed before them.

"Hey!Beauty".She heard Gage announce making his presence known as he and his boys band made their way towards them and sat down.

"What the fuck do you what?Are you stalking me?".She asked,taking a sip of her drink.

"I was just around the corner practicing"

"Who is he?".Ted questioned ,glaring at the muscular man beside Gowon.

"An idiot who won't let me be".She snaps.

"And what do we have here?".Gage teased."A cute bunny..AHH!!!!.He roared as Gowon twisted his finger.

"Do not call him that...Never!!!".She let go of him and he uproar into laughter.

"Your hand is so soft....come on.Tell me your name you beautiful gangster".He prop his elbow on the table and rested his head on his knuckles and stared at her in amusement.

"No..and please stop stalking me. I hate it".She said hoarsely and dry.

"Like I said I was around the corner with my bands-"

"You have a band".Her eyes lits up on hearing the word' Band'.

Ted frowned. He was not liking this especially the way she had given him her full attention. Was this his rival .What if Gowon likes him?cause everyone seems to like the bad boys rather than the good boys.

"Here".Gage handed a flyer to her smiling. He was glad to have her full attention."Come watch our concert...I hope you come"He stood up,bid her goodbye and left with his boys.

"Are we going to go?".Ted asked.

She nods and stood up.

"Don't be jealous ok?I would never fall for him..come on ,let's go to your house. Remember you have something to show me?"Ted nods and they padded towards the door.

Joey,Asher secretary opened the door of the car for Asher to step down.He had rushed to the parking lot after hearing his boss arrival.

"Good day sir".

"I hope your day wasn' t as bad as mine especially been disturbed by a parasite".Asher came down.

"Am no parasite. You're the one who wanted to take me here".He heard a girl say within the car.

Who was this lady?. It looks like his boss has decided to have a girlfriend.

"But I told you to keep shut but you kept on uttering stupid words..please get out I don't have much time-".

"Not until you say i am no parasite but a cute well mannered young lady".

Asher choke with laughter. "It looks like your insane! Get your ass out or you might see yourself in a long ride home. ..come out dummy-".

"That does it".Joey watched as an unfamiliar figure flee out of the car and attacks Asher.

'What was this?He had never seen his boss with a woman unless it was business.

Showing this playful side to a woman made him wonder who was she

Perhaps was his boss in love with her?'.

"Sorry!"Asher said as he dodges her playful slaps."Quit it" .He said laughing as she stops.

"Don't ever call me a dummy as you can see am trying to upgrade from been one- ".

"So you agreed that your one".He smiles annoyingly causing her to puff.

"Gosh!I hate you-".Joey cleared his throat to make his existence known to them who was lost in their love paradise.

"Sir Asher and ma'am Lee- "

"Wait! We...we aren't dating. .am Trina not Lee".She Said blushing to the root of her hair.

"Sorry-".

"Call her Miss Asher instead".Asher laughed and walked into the building as Joey and Trina followed.

"Asher!Am not going to bear your stupid name! Am not married to you!!!!".

"That got me wondering".He suddenly halted causing her to bump into him,she looked up at him.

"Ouch!".She exclaims rubbing her nose.

"Why your cheek is so red".His hand appeared on either side of her face,his warm hand on her cheek made her stomach knot.

She was paralyzed by his soft touch."Don't you want to bear the name Miss Asher Lee? ".His violet eyes twinkle merrily.She blushed harder unable to push him away or speak.what was he actually doing to her."Let's go".He gave her a delightful smile that stop her heart.
