Reviews of Star Wars: Skywalker

So, overall good for a fanfiction, but it stays just that. Writing quality was sometimes good, but more often than not filled with grammar and spelling mistakes. Story development was often expected, as it is a mary sue power fantasy. I liked how the author pulled things from star wars lore and legends. Character design was meh overall. Typical harem were female characters besides his mom all love him. The force is used as a crutch for that. Enemies became stupid in the face of our overly intelligent mc, even palps became not really an enemy facing an !c that knew all his plans all along. Updating stability was top. Nothing more has to be said about that. World background is a big minus. The reason being that this is a fanfiction and no world background was made by the author himself. If there was a choice for 0 stars - not applicable, i would take that. Additionally backgrounds from characters and other things are repeated often and without shortening it. Which would make sense if the novel didn't update dayly, but it does. So it only make it seem like the author thinks readers are stupid. World backgrounds besides characters seem like copy pasted from wookiepedia. Overall good for short bursts of reading when you want a feel good power fantasy. But prolonged reading leads to an aneurysm and boredom.

I have somehow survived whole years without watching or playing anything star wars related and honestly this novel is great! I can understand the other people's views since I am sure most of them already know like 80% of the stuff but the info dumps are helping me enjoying this story! Just before I get attacked for not watching star wars, I was really not a sci-fi fan back in the day (not even now) however something just clicked with this novel so here I am. It's a bit funny if you think about it, learning about a series from a fanfiction.

Good fan fic but multiple problems that has made me consider reading more. I have read till chapter 80 and while good it has a few issues I will lay out. 1. As mentioned in other comments the info dumping puts Chinese cultivation novels to shame. So many paragraphs of information that can be summarized in a few sentences. We all have seen Star Wars if you are reading this so it’ pointless. 2. The pacing is weird since there is so much info then the actual interactions he has are minimal. I don’t want to read the Star Wars wiki I want to read about a non cannon story. 3. The mc is kind of dull and unlikeable. Like he is just there and does some stuff but his weird inner monologues make it seem like your reading a bibliography rather than a story Overall decent but it’s boring and to much information bogs it down

I always enjoy a good star wars fanfic and have binge read up to chapter 120 so far and I gotta say author you need to stop over explaining everything/info dumping for word count. 120 chapters and its still going on. literally in the chapter I just read you wrote "interrogation, the action of interrogating, or the process of being interrogated". like come on man...info dumps l, redundant sentences, and definitions of things we already know just are super uncessary this far into a fanfic

Nothing really changed in the long run. Canon is still pretty much happening. The author really has to make the story more interesting because even after 35 long and boring chapters nothing has really happened. Definitely have to stop showing long POV of other people because it's just taking up word count with no importance.

well, it has a lot of problems, the writing has some mistakes, but world bulding, story development are just not tought out well, everything goes his way, when it really shouldn't. him trying to recreate original events its just plain stupid and would never work !!!
