Dealing with the body

I soon enough woke up from absorbing the soul ring, the sun was still setting so it didn't appear it took me too long to absorb it. It's barely visible though, so it won't take much for it to set, maybe a few minutes at most.

A few notifications appeared before me but I don't care I already guessed it's pattern, I most likely got a quest for another set of rings and the reward for this one. Now that I think about it all of them are for growing stronger, weird.

Weles:"Hey, you are finally awake"

"Yes, it seems so, and I'm also definitely rank 30 now"

Even my soul power compression got a significant boost, I'm halfway through to 6. It seems the strength of my body increased too, my defence increase was smaller this time. But what I'm most excited for is checking out my new soul ring and reaching another tank.

I take a quick glance at the snakes body.

Cai:"What are we going to do with his body? Feels like a waste to just leave it here"

Weles:"That is the case but how are we going to bring it back? It's enormous"

Cai:"Weles we already killed it, I'm too reluctant to let go of it, it's body is like a small treasure trove for us, well small maybe isn't a good word"

Cai:" We can definitely use it's body as a cultivation resource"

Weles:"Okay, Okay I get it let's bring it back, but how?"

Cai:"I'm glad you asked, the two of us will use out water element control to move the body with water, while Yi Hen drives the boat"

Yi Hen:"Wait how is that fair?"

Cai:"I'm doing chores for you fairly often, you can do it once in a while as well"

And so begun our self brought suffering, Yi Hen wasn't the best at doing his job so we were going pretty slowly, but the snakes body was so big we were moving it slowly as well, it balanced us out quite well.

Some soul beasts were even attacking us on our way, but they were pretty stupid and weak ones, I mean this one was probably a big shot around these parts yet we killed him? Which soul beast that has at least a little bit of intelligence would attack us. Anyway we killed them quite fast yet it slowed us down nonetheless.

When we finally reached the shore the moon was already directly above us, Yi Hen was already gasping for air, we all head eyes of a dead fish with dark circles under our eyes.

Yi Hen:" This is- the- last- time- I'm doing- this"

Cai:"Don't bother, oh yea by the way I'm claiming 50 meters of it, starting from the head."

Weles:"Do what you will we are heading back to sleep I don't have any energy left to even go back home"

Yi Hen nodded and both of them went to our base, I guess they are sleeping there today. I'm seriously tempted to do the same, but I'm kind of worried someone will steal it, and that it will go bad so I will just take this 50 meters and store them in my storage device. I got one during this month I was here.

I was just about to get to it but a better idea came to my mind, why don't I just freeze it to preserve it and come back tomorrow? I decided to change my objective and so I got freezing it. It took me one more hour to do it but I was finished. It should be more than enough to hold till I wake up.

With my job done I could finally go to rest, ah I was so excited to check out my new soul ring but I have no more soul power after all of this. I entered my room and threw myself onto the bed, my exhaustion quickly took my consciousness away and I fell asleep.

A few hours later the sun shone through my window onto me and managed to wake me up, I wanted to sleep a bit more but I have a lot of things to do. I quickly cleaned up myself and changed my clothes.

As I went downstairs I saw both Weles and Yi Hen sleeping on the couches. I might as well make breakfast for all of us, so I got to work. I quickly made 3 portions of a simple dish and brew tea to go with it, and went to serve it on the coffee table.

Cai:"Come on wake up everyone, we still have a lot of things to do today"

I woke both of them up.

Cai:"Come on I served breakfast for all of us, we still have to deal with the snakes body today"

Weles:"Oh that's right I forgot about it while sleeping"

Both of them thanked me and we started to eat. In about 30 minutes we were finished with it.

Cai:"We should get on with it now, the more we leave it for later, the more it will decay"

Weles:"I guess that's true lets go"

Cai:"Remember as I said I'm taking 50 meters starting from the head"

We went up to the snakes body and started to take it apart I of course choose the section I wanted, honestly using anything other than Caliburn to cut it would be too annoying, so I just separated my 50 meters with it when no one was looking.

Obviously my storage device couldn't hold all of its meat in there, so I focused on skinning it. What I want are its bones and scales, I choose to take its head because it has the hardest scales and bones, and even though its brain is probably a mush from what I did to it. I can probably make an elixir of some kind out of it.

I'm also curious about the gem/crystal on its head I saw previously, thankfully I only destroyed the back of his hand so the front is fairly intact. I would be quite sad to find out it was destroyed before I figured out what it was

After 2 full hours of work I finally reached its head, Honestly and I only separated it from the body, I haven't even scrapped of all the flesh it has on itself, Well I guess it's time to check out this thing it had on its head.

I climb onto its head and there it is, quite big and beautiful gem is placed on its head, it has about 20 cm in diameter, as I need to know what it is I used my Caliburn to dig it out of its head.

It seems to be full of water elements, I ran a few tests with it and in five minutes I figured out it can amplify the water element, and can do the same with ice element but to a much more minor effect, I guess it's because ice is a water based element.

I hide it in my storage device, by the way it's a bracelet. I guess now it's time to move on with my work, I continued my work, and not going to lie, I hope to never do it again. Its massively time consuming. Thankfully I managed to find time in between to test out my soul ring ability, it's quite similar to my first one but instead turns the water corrosive just like the snake.

Honestly getting out the bones scrapping flesh of the scales, removing scales from the head, all of it took so much time that when I was finally finished with all of it the sun was already long gone from the sky, replaced instead by the moon.

I had to leave Ice blocks all around the place to keep the flesh intact, I may have dealt with the scales and bones but the all the flesh couldn't be placed in my storage bracelet. Well good news is that all the others came to help us with the flesh.

We kept about 200 kg of it for ourselves I froze it behind the house to keep it fresh, and the other things we decided to leave the decision to the clan head of Weles, and Yi Hen clan.

Well that's it I can do for today, You know I said elixir before but honestly, I'm just going to make a soup out of its meat, bones with high quantity of bone marrow, and the brain. That will help us cultivate a bit, honestly that's all I can do with it in terms of cultivation. I have other plans for the bones and scales, the actual reason for why I wanted to bring this thing back.

Well now this is the end of this chapter, was supposed to write it like 10 hours earlier but I realised new immortal Taoist server dropped so to not be left in the dust I jumped in, and there was also the match between Poland and Arabia right after. As a polish person I had to watch it, damn those actors couldn't win even with simulating every little thing. They all got cocky after wining against Argentina.
