This is an amazing IET story. Particularly just an IET fan and how his unique way of expressing the Dao makes us immersed in history, to the point where we want to find our own Dao! This story brings a righteous MC, who follows his heart in all things, regardless of circumstances. The created world is easy enough to be understood, and the way karma is used, avoids those annoying plots with the strong bullying the weak. Anyway, another amazing story of IET, just READ!!!

First the translator of this novel now is CKtalon, one who also translate TMW, and not GGP anymore... so the translation quality is surely good.. Now, for the novel story, we have our mc: Qin Yun, a wandering cultivator who just go back home after traveling for 6 years.. he is actually have a pretty good quality for mc as he isnt ***** and shameless, always try to help his friend and family, and ruthless to any enemy, including those courting death young master. Its just the beginning of the novel after al. But i must say i really entertain by this novel.. this novel isnt just about faceslapping and have an actual good plot similar to other IET novel.. so i really recommend you to try reading it and dont listen to those qidian hater reviewer..

Great to have the new novel by IET here!! As someone who has followed GGPs other works this will have good translation quality. As for story/world/character its too early to say but it feels a little like combination coiling dragon and desolate era.. As i have read BTTH quite long time, i dont mind the use of Pingyin terms..

Well what can I say ..it's a novel written 'iet'. I have been an avid reader and fan of his novels. Coming to this novel..nothing too unique is offered , but it goes without saying that what written is pretty good. The mc staying true to his wife and not having others as harems unlike from other novels is something we normally see in all of iet novels which is depicted here too.. the world buliding is not explained fully as of yet.. i guess reading more would enlighten me, which something I am not disappointed with. That a are few things which irk me..though those are trivial..such as.."mc says we agreed to have half treasures eachbof what we got...but the other guy pleads him that he cant take more than what he can afford to have since it would bring calamity to him..but mc refutes him saying it will effect his dao heart" what b.s I can only tell you to try it out yourself..it by no means a trash novel..so go head.

Another solid showing from I Eat Tomatos! He has a reputation for being a remarkably consistent author, and Flying Sword is no exception. This particular work dodges some of his common tropes, the story starts with the main character already quite powerful relative to most people in the world and his mom is even alive! However, it doesn't mix it up that much. The main character is still just a generally honorable guy, albeit a little unforgiving towards his enemies, who works hard to grow strong so he can protect his family and loved ones. If you've read any of IET's other works you'll pretty much know what to expect and whether you'll like this or not. I will say the setting in Flying Sword is a spot weaker than some of his other works, there's no big mysteries or overarching wars or anything like that to build a early sense of mystery and help exploring the world seem engaging and interesting. And the cultivation system seems relatively ******, with even the highest power levels seemingly explained early on. But given that we're only 191 chapters in it may have some big surprises yet to be revealed, if it turns out to be a longer work! And of course there's nothing bad to be said about the translation - CKtalon is probably known to pretty much anyone who's been reading webnovels for a while and he remains a reliable and high quality translator!

This so far 100+ chapters in, and IET hasn't done anything bad to any relationships. I am sure many can relate...... This story so far is really interesting. The novel is the same ole dao meditation, fights, but a bit more now. With fiends, immortals, actually when I think about it. It reminds me of DE, but it's an great read so far. And CKtalon is translating it, so naturally it's a good read.

Pretty standard IET novel, atleast so far, it's a lot like desolate era was in the beginning so if you like that, give this a try. CKtalon is the sole translator now and the terms used aren't frustrating like some of us worried about when we saw GGP as a translator.

Great story, typical novel but still very entretaining. I wish the updates would be faster but nothing you can do about that. I hate the fact that it has to be 140 characters or more to post a review. The biggest issue would be world background and character development while the world is somewhat different from the typical novels it's not that enrapting and the characters are the same as in any novel but they're a still good

finally some novel i can read without the disgust in my mouth from all the stupid cliche **** but there could be some more information about the realms beyond already

Great novel, doesn't disappoint considering IET's work. The characters seem to be pretty fleshed out and more and more information becomes available as we continue the story

I love this novel. I liked the pacing of the story where evry chapter is important whether as an important part of the story or just as relief to transition to another event

what i love from story is romance, quick progress and easy to understand. romance are pretty romantic. i love harem, but dont know why i really like this monogami romance. as for storyline, i really like the progress not many plot armor. as for update staility, lately only 1 chap a day

Good story as always with I Eat Tomatoes. Though it is hard to rank it among his stories yet as there's not enough chapters to do so. The power system is a bit original and I like the fact that demons are not simply beast roaming around but they are one of the top faction un that world

great story! I Eat Tomatoes is like a freaking machine. Out of all the chinese authors he is undeniably the most stable. I've liked every one of his novels without exception. Super hyped for this. Also, I would like to request the translator GGP to please write the basic and frequently used terms in meaningful English and not pinyin. Terms like zhen yuan, dou, wang etc are extremely difficult for readers like us who are completely oblivious regarding knowledge of chinese to understand. Anyhow, best of luck :)

Amazing story , great story line overall and he sets the background amazingly but I want to know what happened so no chapters are released for a week?

Translation is good. Novel is also okay. There are many Fillers and needlessly long fight scenes. However it's not really that good to warrant Premium Status
