Reviews of Sect Leader's Rise to the top!

Writing quality 2/5- If I'm guessing, author's first language isn't English. Lots of mistakes everywhere in general. Story development 2/5- Very 'go with the flow' -esque. It's just not interesting. Story is 'told' and not 'shown'. Character design 2/5 - MC makes some smart moves from time to time. Though there's not much substance to him or the side characters. Side characters are dumb, MC is overpowered, and they worship the MC. MC also makes some bad decisions with no good reason. World background 3/5 - Maybe the saving grace of this novel. Personally, I like cultivation backgrounds, so I'm rating this a bit higher. Otherwise, it would be a 2.5/5 for the low level of originality. Author needs to step up his game and learn how to describe landscapes.

Started reading this months ago, read all of it and waited for more chapters to come out.Anyways the novel is really good, not very fast paced but not very slow either, kind of a relateable MC I suppose (personality) and the disciples is pretty unique.

Side characters aren't literal NPCs. MC doesn't have any annoying companions. MC isn't brainless too although he's unknowledgeable to almost every common sense in that world, but I guess that's normal but still kind of annoying lel. What I don't like is the System info dump, which is always an instant turn off for any novel. I haven't seen any of that in the later chapters tho, so that's nice. I hope Author won't drop this. Hope you the Best!

good story with nice plot and characters development. so far I've read up to chapter 132. keep up the good work. just filling up the words count.

No complaints none whatsoever . I love this book its a pity the updates are only 5 a week. But I get it though, author needs time to write and think. But tbh this a sweet sect building novel thats got a good foundation. I like how it didn't just start with sect being built somewhere on some random mountain with a sect system, this one started with building the Sect Leader and the backbones of the sect before starting to delve into building the sect itself. I can't wait for what the stories has to offer in the following chapters.

Loving this novel so far! I love how our MC isn't really "good" or "evil." I usually prefer evil MCs but it turns out this MC is my other favorite kind: ultra-realistic MC. He doesn't trust others, doesn't do things without thinking it through first but he also has his own goals & doesn't want to live his life alone. As he puts it, power without purpose is a good way to go insane lol This MC truly feels alive to me which is rare because my standards for MCs are pretty high. I also love the other characters, mostly because I don't wanna kill any of them for being too annoying. Well maybe a few but MC doesn't like them either lol fantastic novel, please keep writing! Can't wait to read what happens next! ❤😍

So far surprisingly good , I didn't expect the sect to be eventually built the way it was, usually they just start as some super op hidden elder or op person that starts a sect but here was from the beggining , I really appreciate this novel sadly has too few chapters but apart from that it's pretty good , not much worldbuilding either as of yet but it makes sense since he's just at the begining stages of cultivation.

This novel is too good. I found it by chance and fell in love completely. It's a hidden gem, it deserves more recognition than it already has. Author, I sincerely recommend that you find a designer to make your cover, so you will attract more people!

Enjoyable read good character growth. Looking forward to see what the author will grow this into. Worth your time to read. Not sure why they want such a long commentary to post though counter productive almost did not post do to this.

In the beginning you can tell that the author is getting used to writing books, but by the end of the first arc he really hits his swing! The quality skyrocketed and now I am eagerly awaiting what he writes next!

this is my 3rd sect building novel, there is a bit of clique here and there and some things and events need more explanation (like the stages of cultivation and why he doesn't breakthrough even tho he has the requirements for it ? ) overall its decent in its genre. if I was trying to be brutally honest this would get 2 stars but since most writers aren't experienced on this website and considering avg quality of novels here it definitely deserves a 4 star.
