Chapter 140 : Here Comes Superman

If you were to ask who the most powerful superhero in American comics is, Superman wouldn't necessarily top the list unless it's a debate among silver-tier heroes. However, when it comes to fame, no one dares to surpass Superman, not even DC's iconic Batman.

And standing before them now is a living embodiment of Superman, commonly known as the "Man of Steel".

This Superman isn't clad in the traditional red and blue suit; instead, he wears a formidable black uniform with a crimson cloak billowing behind him.

At the sight of Superman, panic flickered in the eyes of Titania, Absorbing Man, Juhua Girl, and Ivy. After all, the reputation of this Kryptonian legend precedes him.

"Jude, look! It's Superman!" Ivy exclaimed, pointing in awe.

"Alright, don't be surprised, Ivy. Superman is just like any other human. After all, his name does have 'man' in it. No need to fear," Jude reassured.

In mid-air, Superman thrust his right arm upward, unleashing a tremendous force that met Juhua Girl's colossal strength head-on, causing a nearby building to explode as their titanic clash shook the surroundings.

"I'll crush you!" Juhua Girl bellowed, raising another fist to strike Superman.

In their clash, the ground trembled, windows shattered, and asphalt cracked under the sheer force of their blows.

"La Zuer, I don't wish to harm you. Revert to your original form and return to prison peacefully," Superman urged calmly amidst the chaos.

However, Juhua Girl's relentless assault continued unabated, her fists raining down like a relentless storm.

With a thunderous explosion, Juhua Girl was sent hurtling upwards, soaring a hundred meters into the air before crashing back to the ground, courtesy of Superman's power.

Their exchange concluded, Superman hovered down, extending a hand to Wonder Woman, who accepted it gracefully as they ascended into the sky together.

Observers couldn't help but notice the intimacy between them, prompting Jude to inquire, "Excuse me, may I interrupt? What's going on? You two seem rather close. Is there a romantic relationship between you?"

Diana smiled, unperturbed by the question. "Indeed, as you've observed."

"Haha, well, on a different note, do you happen to know Lois Lane and Steve Trevor?" Jude pressed, intrigued.

Diana shook her head. "Though I'm not entirely sure what you're referring to, I can confidently say I've never heard of them."

Jude couldn't help but marvel at the unpredictable nature of this world. "Fascinating! The chaos, the surprises—it's all so enthralling. I'm growing rather fond of this world."

Meanwhile, Diana whispered something to Superman, causing him to initially furrow his brow before adopting a gentlemanly demeanor.

"No matter who you are, I advise against causing trouble. The death of the president would plunge the United States into turmoil. I cannot allow that," Superman warned sternly.

"If that's the case, what if I insist on his demise?" Jude challenged.

"In that case, you'll feel the might of my fist," Superman retorted firmly.

"Very well, as your opponent is here, let's engage. I'll deal with those corrupt politicians first," Jude declared, scanning the area and detecting numerous underground movements—escape routes.

"I'll deal with you later, Clark Kent," Jude called out, causing Superman to visibly tense before he vanished from sight, reappearing to apprehend Jude.

Suddenly, an invisible barrier emerged, halting Superman's advance as he collided with the unseen obstruction and was propelled backward.

"Well done, Dr. Hall. We'll discuss the Tesseract Cube later. For now, I'll deal with these underground trespassers," Jude announced, directing Cowboy No. 1 to take action.

Diana attempted to intervene but found herself ensnared by Ivy's dark green armor—a potent manifestation of her plant-controlling abilities.

Meanwhile, Dr. Hall confronted Superman, attempting to overpower him with increased gravitational force. However, Superman withstood the assault, retaliating with overwhelming strength.

Their battle raged on, with Superman eventually launching Dr. Hall into the lake below like a meteor, eliciting a mighty splash.
