Vampire

As I was travelling toward my tribe I thought of my father. I remembered all the interactions I had with him and realised I neither loved him nor hated him.

I would say I am grateful to him for giving me a comfortable place to grow and teaching me about many things that I was lacking.

I feel that I did not have any defining moments with him and I always find him annoying.

Soon I reached my tribe and entered my house with heavy steps. I noticed my mother was awake and seemed to be waiting for me

"Where is it?" she asked emotionlessly. I soon showed her my father's corpse. She sat there blankly for a few minutes before breaking down in tears.

I was very guilty as I watched her sob. I didn't know what to do as I hugged her and consoled her.

"I am sorry mom I couldn't save him. It is my fault. But I made sure to kill the bastards that were responsible for it" I lied as I didn't feel sorry.

But I am sure that I love my mom genuinely. I truly care for her and love her. I would feel sorrow if she died. As I was thinking about this I was met with the harsh reality that not everyone is as immoral as me

A tomb was raised in honour of my deceased father. A week has passed but there was no attack from the opposite party. My tribe still is in chaos because of the next leadership.

A female is not allowed to be a tribe leader and I am not of age yet. So, it's pretty chaotic to select who will be the next leader. Currently, my mother is acting as the leader until a further decision has been made.

I am currently in the secret lab that I made the last few days to carry out my experiments.

An unconscious man was lying on the table before me. I am currently testing if my stone mask can turn him into a vampire.

I slowly attached the mask to his face and smeared the blood I collected beforehand over the mask. Suddenly the tendrils firmly attached themselves to his face.

After just a few seconds some bubbles started to form all over his body and baam! his body burst as blood, flesh and innards splattered everywhere.

"Like I thought the tendrils are too strong as they end up bursting the body rather than unlocking its full potential. It seems I need to study it and create a new mask suitable for humans"

I cleaned the room and brainstormed many ideas as to how to create new masks. I know I can create them as Kars have created several of them.

I need to study the human body extensively and conduct various experiments to know the acupuncture points that stimulate human potential to the fullest.

So, I did exactly that. I sneaked several slaves into my lab and studied them for days. The situation with the tribe is even more chaotic as my mom is trying her best.

'I need to complete this soon if I want to be of any help to her'

I stimulated various parts of the human brain and even compared them with my brain. It took me several days to heal myself for taking my brain and studying it.

"Finally" I exclaimed in contentment as I gazed at the beautiful mask carved with stone in my hands. It looked similar to the mask in Jojo.

"Now to check if it truly works" I placed the mask on the face of my subject and smeared some blood over it. The mask rattled and produced an intense light. the tendrils inserted themselves into various parts of his brain.

"Aargh argh aaahh" he gained consciousness as he screamed in agony. Soon he dropped dead. I waited for a few seconds.

'Is it a failure again' I thought in disappointment. But soon sat up from the table. The tendrils unlatched themselves and the mask fell.

My gaze landed on his unnaturally pale face which had a hint of green in it. He had razor-sharp as if they were made specifically to bite onto a target.

He soon dashed onto me with a ferocious and crazed expression as he shouted "Blood, blood". I firmly grabbed his neck and lifted him. I poured some blood into his mouth as he regained some of his colour.

'It seems the mask works. Haha, am I a genius like Kars. Using this I can create vampires and zombies and create my army' I thought in glee.

After calming him down I tested if blood can sire zombies. I injected some of his blood into the failed subjects and soon the undead raised from their slumber.

These guys were mindlessly rushing toward me for blood. As they had weaker will even when they were alive they don't have any will and personality now. They are just mindless monsters craving human flesh and blood.

I skilfully kicked them out of the lab and they were burnt to ashes from the sunlight. The newly created vampire became quite frightened seeing and became more obedient.

I attacked him again and again and tested his healing capabilities. I had a little spar with him and calculated the amount of control he had over his body. It was very inferior compared to a pillar man.

'I guess vampires would be stronger than demons without blood demon art. When blood demon art is involved it heavily depends on one's fighting skills and method'

For some entertainment I made him make hybrid zombies of different types. It was pretty weird.

After having him take more blood I noticed that he became stronger and the control of his body also increased greatly.

'So like demons, they become more powerful they more blood they consume'

After conducting all these experiments I bade him farewell as I inserted my hand into his neck and started absorbing him. He struggled a lot but eventually gave up.

'Man absorbing a vampire is many times more fulfilling and satisfactory than humans' I thought in an amused manner.

Soon I left my lab and went toward my house. It took me a week to create a new mask and test it. I was so absorbed in my research that I didn't notice the flow of time.

As I went into my house I noticed my mother training. She hasn't gone to any battles since my birth.

'Did she feel powerless towards my father's death that she is training to increase her power and protect me' I concluded.

"What happened, mom? You don't look so good?" I asked in concern.

"I have a battle in two weeks to determine the leader of the tribe" she answered nonchalantly.
